Great idea for a versatile hat wig! Thanks for sharing your clever idea. Can i ask what's the difference in results between using the hair glue you used here, and using glue from a glue gun, do you know? I know that the result from using glue gun is the wig cap becomes rather stiff. Is hair glue more pliable and results in a wig cap which isn't stiff, do you think?
I feel the glue is harder with the glue gun, but I always use salon pro…. the salon pro is more convenient for me

1.how do u know where to stop and cut the tracks on the false head
2. When washing I would just wash the whole thing right
3 . Do I have to get a false head the same size as mines
4. Do I have to use a blow dryer can I use a standing fan to dry it
Thanks…you can apply the dome cap on your head and use a liner or marks so you will know where to lay them. You don’t have to wash the whole cap but you can. You also don’t need a false head like yours. You can either use fan or blow dryer

I know I'm seeing this much later that you posted it. I have never work extensions because it's hard to match my regular curly hair to the extension. My head is huge and gets too hot for wigs. Only ever used drawstring ponytails before. So this is all very new to me. What glue did you use? How many bundles do I need? I am looking to have a length that lands right at my chest in a deep wave pattern. Without too much bulk or heat since the hats will go on top. The first one will be a test for me so I'm just looking for an idea of it. Ball park.
I shaved the side of my hair off last spring and the grow out is killing me.
Hey luv! Sorry for the late reply. I used 30 sec hair glue and I only used a bundle and 1/2. You can use as much hair as you need for fullness or you can use less hair…if it’s too much.
So did you do 6 layers all around or 7 layers of hair from temple to temple I love the idea I bought a dome cap and some synthetic hair from my beauty supply store and I'm going to do this and I've watched your video several times and I love the way you did this I love wigs and this one is awesome because I also love wearing hats so this a win win gurl I am a fan

Can this method be used for box braids as well? I am so not a hair person but I am truly trying to make an effort in having different styles but still keep my own hair whilst I decide what I actually wanna do with it.
