Yes , a very simple movement , but it makes a difference, no break in his focus. I must admit I had to look at it a couple of times!
Woolhall I was surprised by it causing my inappropriate laugh but the look on Bobs face is anything but amused and Tony behind him watching it grimaced . But they weren’t distracted never lost a beat and delivered a beautiful performance . That’s incredible focus you’re right !

Great Mr Wool Hall , the amazin acoustic debut of If Not For You , one of those amazings live acoustic versions (most of them live debuts) that Dylan did along European Spring Tour 2002 . Jim Keltner replaced George Recile due a problem with one of his arms .

This last year of Dylan playing guitar is so "experimental" as if that word could even apply. He's playing themes "in the middle" of songs that his boys have totally hemmed in on either side. Charlie in 2002, on the right hand of Bob, is so invigorated by it all. For people who think his playing is far from virtuoso, notice the themes themselves are brilliant. When the man dies, someone is going to impersonate his playing to some astounding level. Will I be around to hear it? Maybe none of us will. Maybe it'll never get done. I do not want to join the cosmos.. nor have any joy when it joins me.
He is indeed a great player - unconventional, but hey, it's Bob...
Your're right I think it too..Bob got so much to express that he lacks the patience for virtuosity , but you can almost feel that virtuosity, it breaks through, many times and surprises all around. I'am so sad about not see it live how he plays last year on the guitar, but his piano and harp play is inspired too.
