- LAWATAN NEGARA PERTAMA YANG DI-PERTUAN AGONG DAN RAJA PERMAISURI AGONG KE SINGAPURA
KDYMM SPB Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim dan KDYMM SPB Raja Permaisuri Agong Raja Zarith Sofiah berkenan berangkat ke Singapura pada hari ini (6 Mei) bagi memulakan lawatan negara sehingga esok.
Seri Paduka Baginda berdua berangkat dari Istana Besar Johor pada kira-kira jam 10 pagi menaiki kereta melalui Tambak Johor selepas Istiadat Mengucap Selamat Keberangkatan Sempena Lawatan Negara.
Dalam istiadat itu, Seri Paduka Baginda berdua menerima tabik Hormat Diraja daripada Batalion 1 Rejimen Askar Melayu Diraja dengan diiringi lagu Negaraku. Doa keberangkatan telah diketuai oleh Dato’ Yahya Ahmad, Mufti Johor.
Turut berangkat ke istiadat berkenaan, DYAM Tunku Mahkota Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Pemangku Sultan Johor dan YAM Che’ Puan Mahkota Khaleeda Johor serta Paduka Anakanda.
Hadir sama, Dato’ Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Menteri Besar Johor serta Dato’ Dr Rahim Ramli, Yang Dipertua Jumaah Majlis Diraja Johor dan Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Johor, Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Azmi Rohani.
Lawatan ke Singapura di atas jemputan TYT Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Presiden Republik Singapura ini, merupakan Lawatan Negara pertama KDYMM SPB Yang di-Pertuan Agong sejak menaiki takhta pada 31 Januari 2024.
Keberangkatan Seri Paduka Baginda berdua diiringi YB Anthony Loke Siew Fook, Menteri Pengangkutan; Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Menteri Luar Singapura dan TYT Dato’ Dr Azfar Mohamad Mustafar, Pesuruhjaya Tinggi Malaysia ke Republik Singapura
Dalam rangka lawatan ke Singapura, Yang di-Pertuan Agong dan Raja Permaisuri Agong dijadualkan menerima Sambutan Negara di Istana, Singapura, diikuti dengan pertemuan bersama Presiden Tharman dan juga Dato’ Lee Hsien Loong, Perdana Menteri Singapura.
Presiden Tharman juga akan meraikan Seri Paduka Baginda berdua di dalam satu Majlis Santapan Negara.
Pada lawatan hari kedua, Sultan Ibrahim juga telah berkenan untuk melawat Parlimen Singapura serta melihat perkembangan projek Rapid Transit System Link (RTS Link) antara Johor Bahru dan Singapura.

Johor really needs LRT or MRT system as soon as possible from JB Sentral RTS station to Tebrau, Skudai, UTM, Pulai, Perling, Nusajaya, Medini, Iskandar Puteri and all other towns in Johor Bahru that does not have any KTM train station not ART or BRT that will take up rmain road space.👌🏼👍🏼

I really hope my proposal can be considered : 1. Have a quarantine zone in the Special Economic Zone, where all goods/cargo from Malaysia or beyond will terminate here. 2. All inspected goods will be conveyed to Singapore via an dedicated autonomous freight train. 3. Most trucking across the Causeway or 2nd Link will be eliminated. 4. Lots of jobs will be created in the SEZ and Quarantine Centre. 4. Carbon emissions can be cut and less people will be involved in smuggling. 5. Congestion on Causeway will improve as there are less trucks. 6. This proposal will improve Johor’s economy.
