This is what as known as, "Harmless Mayhem". Up here in Central New York, some of the Volunteer Fire Departments are Career/ Volunteer. I was a Volley for 10 years, and during that period of time, we played "Pushball", "Sink a Boat", etc. Of course, water was involved with this also. Now, I'm almost 60 years old, and have a whole lot of fond memories of this "Harmless Mayhem". Some of you need to get out of the house more often, instead of crabbing about what the Volleys do, and, no, I don't see the Career Firefighters giving the Volleys a bad name either.
For everyone that thinks they are wasting water, THEY ARNT. The water runs into grates and into rivers and creeks where it will be reused. So please, stop complaining.
To folks bitching.. Get over it. Quite a lot of officers on those trucks, and I think I spotted a few Chiefs. If you're telling me you know fire service better than them, please see yourself out. As for 'water wasting'... Dude, this is Pennsylvania, not California. Not under any form of a drought in the last 5 years. XD Let them have fun, if it's an issue, the officers and chiefs will handle.

Q sirens are like 130db-160 a piece. The normal sirens, 130-150. The air horns. Let's cut it at 140. Thirty of them going at once, peaking the shit out of them even, is going to deafen a lot of people and it may be fun but I have my volume at 50% and my ears are fucking ringing from these sirens
Also people definitely looking for a “thank you for your service”. I’m all for supporting other fire departments, I volunteer but fuck, this is too much, there’s absolutely no need to step on a q siren and air horns on your way out from a fucking parade. My department has a no sound policy in place for parades. Not too many people in NEPA in parades see the little kids holding their hands over their ears because it loud. This is an absolute shame. This shouldn’t be allowed.
