actually, as long as the tips are able to secure the iems in your ears, if it hovers, it is less likely to cause irritation to your ears, because there are fewer points where the iem touches your ears.

Chopin does mid bass very well but keeps me desiring for more subbass.
It's treble has noticeable BA timbre compared to Blessing2 or the pula02.
Because of the grainy treble I ended up preferring the B2 with EQ, in that config the B2 sounded more high res.
Unfortunately the B2 is too chunky and the nozzle has grip issues with eartips despite having the curves in the right place.
Chopin nozzle is large and long with an angle not so perfect, without my favorite ear tips I could not use them for long period of time without having side ear pain.
Tuning wise the Chopin has the best overall frequencies balance wwith its harman approach but lacks the extra control in the treble to sound smooth.

so compared to the hexa, you previously cited the SIMGOT EM6L as having better stereo separation (or wideness / 3d / being more like the sounds are coming from outside of the head, more like headphones). so the commentary i found missing here in the review was this comparison stereo or air-iness aspect. (relative to those other 2, and the dusk, but i am probably confusing between my terms here). but you have sound stage front-back (in front of you, which can be a bit of a reberb thing). then there is the inside-outside of the head. and the lateral wideness. all phsycoacoustics things

I am not a stage performer, but I would think the #1 factor to consider is fit stability -- I'd want something stable that I don't have to re-position mid performance. Honestly that would take priority over things like instrument separation, which seems pretty pedantic in that use case. Quintet fit stability is good, Chopin is mid, and EA 1000 is weak. Haven't tried the Hidizs.

For me the roll off on the sub bass is perfect. Because drums starts from 100hz and then the vibrations should be less than the frequency between 100hz . For the mid bass is perfect for a medium volume. For high volumes I will skip this iem because in high volumes the 200hz to 400 needs to be more because the mids. Upper and treble highs goes up a lot apart from what's below the 1k. So to chill. Perfect. For metal bangers with loud volumes. Nope

I might give this a go. Since you mentioned about the way to get better high FR vs the Chopin is to go into the $500-600 range. I do have a question about the relative cost of good treble. How do you put a price or go about pricing what a good treble response is? What does a $20 teble sound like? or a $200,$500 and $1K supposed to sound like? What traits of the treble region should I be looking for within their respective price category?
