I was 5 years old in 1994 and living in Chicago with my family. I didn’t move to NYC until I was 18 in 2007. In 2023, I’m still living in NYC after 16 years and nothing looks the same as it was back then. The city doesn’t have that same excitement anymore.
1994 my childhood . I remember that Toys R Us on Herald Sq. If you were NYC kid from that time , you were in that building no matter the holidays or a random day.

Mixed emotions here. I left NYC that same yr thinking I would be back soon but never did. Got divorced, remarried, got 2 beautiful daughters and my priorities totally changed. I still miss it though.

Whoa! this is November of 1994 and I was staying on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Great memories of being 28 years old with so much energy.
I was 12. Grew up in Manhattan. I miss the city of the 90s so much. Pre 9/11 nyc was paradise. The right mix of everything.
