Switzerland’s legendary industrial metal force SAMAEL have just released an intense official music video for “Dictate Of Transparency”, taken from their latest full length album Hegemony (2017). The song could hardly fit any better with current times. Also out now is a strictly limited 7’’ vinyl release of the track, also including another track, “Against All Enemies”, taken from the same 2017 standout album.

I'd never heard of this band until a few years ago when i went to see them in London on a whim. They are probably the BEST band i've seen. I can't describe what made them so good. Every track was fab, the lighting was brill, their stage presence... just fab.
One of my favorite tracks of there's is ON EARTH AND of course INFRA GALAXYIA.
And the evolution of this band is 👏❤
Not sure about their stage performances but have given up on them after their 4th album. First 4 are golden though.
For me, the best is still "ceremony of opposites" \m/. Enjoy it!

The very first time I heard SAMAEL was back during promo tour Ceremony of opposites. Vorph and rest of the band just blew my mind then. I was once lucky to meet all band back stage and after 20 years I still think it was one of the best days in my all fcuking life! Thank you for your amazing inspiration and somehow shaping my personality.
When I was introduced to Samael back in 2001 I was young, still pure, unbroken. I couldnt connect entirely. Today I am pushing 40, and when you mentioned Ceremony of Opposites I went back to it, and now I can. I couldnt understand this one particular sentence "Love is a poison which flourishes in the heart of the weak"... now I do.
Ceremony of opposites is their best work IF not the best. year was 2000 and i was obsessed with them... then they went into their galaxy discovery and i de-attached but this is a band with Soul and Purpose.
Ok, so really long time Samael fan here. Been a huge fan since 1994. In the 90's, Samael were really pushing boundaries and doing incredible things. Their live show was insane... they pissed people off moving away from a real drummer... if you are a fan, then you know the story. My problem with this song is that it sounds like it could have come from Eternal. What has happened to these guys? I feel like they are playing it safe and not moving forward. Its a good song, but its nothing new that they haven't already said or done musically. Come on Xy, I know you have it in you. Innovate man! I know its not easy, but the same choir sounds since 99, the same drum sounds since 99... move forward Samael. Take a page out of Ulver's book. Samael is legendary, and I really just want to see them push themselves.

Única camisa de banda que ainda tenho. Mas curto o Samael old... No início da carreira. Nesse som está agradável, mas quando unificam eletrônico, desaponta demais quem curte o real black metal. Eles eram para ser apenas black metal symphonic. E para estarem entre os pais desse estilo com toda sua maestria e grandeza, e sem dizer no nome da horda que impõe total respeito!!! Haiil Samael!!!

I've been into them since 94 saw them live in SF and still blast them. I like the direction they went however I prefer his vocals without effects he has one of the best vocals in metal. checkout their first 3 albums.
To me it sounds like he changed his vocal technique between Passage and Eternal
It didn't sound healthy then, to be honest. However his current style sounds tired and worn out a lot - check out post-Eternal live concerts
@@demoskoval I'd say it started with Exodus which is sweet but that's when they incorporated the electronic sounds. The re-recording of Son of Earth with the techno beats is a prime example. I think perhaps his voice started giving him issues so they went with effects. He does sound tired. If you get a chance watch the live show of ceremony of opposites from last year(or early this year🤔)its the whole album and he put effort in recreating the sound but it's not the same. Getting older takes a toll.

Why is the sound so muffled and no power tone wise on the guitars n drums. Like its an ok song but the mix from my point of view is kinda weak and the drums are just pure garbage compared to their nuclear blast releases tone wise.
