Oh MY GOD. I’m not gonna lie, Barbie & Launce are literally Roblox’s Yanderedevs. (Minus all the creepy stuff.) They’re shitty devs who make promises they can’t keep and keep a bunch of children they can underpay OR not pay at all to do all the heavy lifting for them, like managing social media. They’re thin-skinned overambitious underachievers who love pushing the workload onto the small team they cultivated and- just like YandereDev- REFUSING to expand. I hate to say this, but reddietheteddy, Sukimeki & oceanorbs & lizzywinkle (rest in peace) were carrying this game. I just wish they sold it off to a more competent dev at this point. Because clearly they either can’t- or don’t want to do to the work to make a good game. I mean, it literally saved Bloxburg.

The last clip of Launce doesn't even seem like gaslighting. It's just threatening. Willingly threatening his own community and then trying to play it off and lie to our faces that he didn't just say what he said. And another thing! Calin shouldn't have been royal highs middle man to begin with??? It is the MAIN developers job to be sharing game updates and telling the community news like such, not someone like Calin who's job is designated to one section/ part of the game.

You make great points when it comes to representation, kids are very impressionable and will believe anything if someone were to say "it's ___"(the bad representation of cultures/groups of people with different experiences) instead of actually giving the accurate, historical, well defined cultures/experiences of other people in today's society, these adults and teens are a literal tab/website away from doing proper research on things they can address or implement into a game/blog or whatever they upload on for their audiences. Bringing in a healthy way of diversity and it is actually well researched, the community wouldn't have much problems, or drama coming from both sides of the game. Great video. It's hard to constantly forgive someone for making the same mistakes twice, thrice, a repeating cycle of the same mistakes and same dramas. So glad there are people not afraid of speaking their mind.

Honestly Barbie is clearly the one in the wrong here and its not helping how she has minors working for her. She's like the boss of all the bad decisions and telling everyone to just trust her whenever she makes these decisions, and doesn't bother to fix them. It's not working. I get the devs work hard on the game sure yeah they deserve the praise but I will never understand how can you make a game that struggles with being fun and have most of the players do the same thing like collect diamonds all the time instead of playing the actual game and actually having fun, what I don’t understand when it comes to devs do they think it’s fun to collect diamonds and do worthless task all day…or do they think it would be fun to dress up freely and roleplay without worrying about buying a one set outfit that’s worth almost 1 million. But then get mad and say they can’t handle anything when they themselves put them in the direct target, not saying its right they get attacked but what do you expect after basically making the game hard, not representing every player (masc players, poc) and being lazy when it comes to restocking old sets instead of making new ones
I totally agree with what you said AND I really wonder how rh in this state is inclusive in any way. I can see that they put certain things for "representation" like the pipes? in the toilets making them inclusive for disabled people, but at the same time some of the devs are abelist and we don't even have a wheelchair as an item yet. It's the same with lunar new year and black history month. They put it and then give so little black hairstyles that it's geniunely disturbing when you look at the fact that we constantly get other hair styles in the game. With the lunar new year it's WORSE. Not even having a proper set and I don't remember them adressing the issue of the Spring Cherry blossom set? It's the same with lgbtq stuff. How come we got Canada and USA flags, but we never got a pride flag as an accessoary??? If they're not going to try to make it inclusive, then they shouldn't promote it as such. End of the story.

I love your points, they were so good and understanding. I dislike how the devs ignore the fact that some might be plus-sized, maybe in a wheelchair, lack of religious items. I heard that the Darling Valentina was supposed to be plus-sized, how come it became a skinny girls set? I dislike the fact that they are also removing the boys package and that all the users are supposed to use the girls package with a toggle that might not even change the fact that they still look like a girl. Back in the years, I was a role-player, I was one of a kind/j but then I had to change my ways once new cool sets came out (especially Whimsy Witch), maybe it'll be good for witch outfits. NPC like I had to farm, and farm, and farm. It is at this point goes for everybody. Some MVPS still can stand waiting ages for a roleplaying session. It's so odd how much they try manipulating and threatening to remove the game if we keep pressuring them, even though they get profit of it. If I go back to the cultures, Religions and so on, I dislike the lack of it. We're all unique some and my opinion so there should be more of it. It's difficult to dress like a Muslim in RH due to the sets being so tight on the pants and so on. The Muslims who want to dress up as their own religion have to go a few extra steps in order to make it accurate than if a person just dressed up as a skinny basic (Not basic but hopefully you get my point) RH girl, it'd be really easy. Some do really good with making their religion/culture accurate in a game who doesn't support it really. Sure maybe the Cherry Blossom could be ish enough for those who want to make a Kimono or a Hanfu (also with few extra steps) to make it more accurate to culture. But it should be more better representation of cultures and religions in sets and such. We all also have different bodies, maybe as a women way, maybe in the boy package way or maybe the new boy way. Removing the boy package might not express the ones who might have a different build from the women or boy package. This goes also for the plus-sized, it's like shaming them for being fat and saying that skinny girls are normal. Somehow I also got shamed for playing in a game that includes dress up and that was originally meant for role playing and having fun?!?! Not my fault I want to roleplay in a game that has serious inflation and that I'm too tired to even farm for new stuff. In my opinion, I think RH should be more transparent and ask the community what they think about this update for example or that example. Fix the bugs that the games have now, not exposing kids into thinking that their build, culture or religion is bad due to RH giving examples of that skinny girls are key. I mean some girls are skinny there's that but like it's like the head of the game. If one action leads to something bad, the kids might be influenced by that and their actions changing their visions about relationships or opinions, that is how sensitive kids can be exposed to bad stuff and be changed by it.
The diversity thing is so true. I was going to recreate my OC in RH, so I searched the vitiligo options in dress up. There were about 6 options, mostly recolors. I wish they added something where the player could paint the face however they wanted or at least something better than 6 options.
Ok this is worst than I thought. Ngl my main opinion in the game used to be that the community was too old and that constantly asking for updates instead of rp was just sad but now that I see that the devs are problematic too, yeah the game is straight up messy in both sides. Also I agree with the lack of gameplay especially in the new school. The quests are keeping us busy but it's a school, and school has classes! The new school came out unfinished and now it's more obvious than ever.

This is critical of me but i think sometimes it's best to say the cold hard truth. If other games can do it what's stopping the RH devs. Think Stardew Valley, think Undertale, FNAF, and so many more. These games are made by individuals or small dev teams and they make games that people continue to come back to. People can't defend the RH dev's by saying "have you ever made a game... it's hard", when other games that were created under similar circumstances as RH perform better. The facts are that royale high doesn't have as many players. As a consumer who has spent a lot of money on this game. i assume the downfall is because of many reasons, but i'll list a few that are my reasons. I would like good content. not whatever royalloween 2023 was, and not a decorated map with an new advent. i don't think the community should settle for a new halo, some new items, and a slightly different map. what happened to updates like sunset island, earth, etc. I want updates that are fun to play. i would love for more diversity, it's unfair that some kids don't get to represent themselves in a game they love. it's unfair and should be talked about more. i want more communication, again royalloween 2023 we found out she was sick from someone looking at her discord. we have the official RH twitter for a reason. and finally, the fact that it's so much harder to get diamonds now, and prices of items keep going up. not everyone trades, i for one hate trading for profit. i get my diamonds from grinding and it's so much harder to grind now. i don't have much more to say, maybe RH will get its act together, i hope. that's what i think at least.. anyways amazing video i agree with basically everything u said.

Something that has always annoyed me about the RH commnity is when people say "The devs are only human, they need breaks" or "Barbie can't add that, why are you complaining? They work so hard for us!" Like I'm sorry my love but it's their JOB, if it was a hobby that Barbie had I would understand but this is her income 😭. Imagine you went to an Aldi cashier and they were on their phone on the till while a huge line of customers were waiting. You would be so frustrated! Also imagine you asked them to get back to work and they said "I've already worked hard for you, I deserve some time off". Some criticism. When you talk, you seem to only address other people talking without talking about the things that brought up the discussion, making the video hard to follow. Maybe in the future you could address the controversies first and then the public response. I also have some things to say about the parasocial relationship bit. I don’t have Twitter and only get information about the game through UA-camrs. I also don’t really like calin and I have never cared about online celebrities in the slightest. All this to say, that this is coming from a person who I believe is very unlikely to form a parasocial relationship with a developer. The way the devs have been acting towards criticism doesn’t strike me as people who don’t care and are only looking for the money in our pockets. To me, they seem genuinely invested in the game and by proxy in the community. The things people like calin and especially Launce say don’t feel like they’re coming out of hatred but out of pressure and stress. I am not going to rant about the developers being overworked or anything, but I just want to entertain the possibility that the devs are _human._ I am what one would call a perfectionist. What this means for me is that I tend to bite off more than I can chew, starting new projects before I’m finished with others. I also work painfully slowly on things that seem trivial to others. I just can’t rush things. I’ve always said that I’m either 0 or 100 in terms of energy; I either do something to the best of my abilities or I don’t do it at all. In addition, I like to manage things on my own, working silently, even in groups. What this usually results in is people feeling like I’m slacking off, not doing my work, only for me to turn in a great finished product at the very end. Or, that’s what would happen if I didn’t also have ADHD. Enough about me. What I see in myself with my work lines up almost 1 to 1 with the devs’ work pattern. They’re quiet, take longer than others would expect, and turn in a great finished product. (To me, at least.) When you experience things other people haven’t experienced, you see things other people can’t see. And I see myself in these developers, or at least in Barbie. (the most enigmatic of the crew) I really don’t believe the developers are “out to get us.” To me, their responses strike me as stress induced, probably from dealing with a public who doesn’t understand their work process. Call it a parasocial relationship if you’d like. Now, as nice as this is, I’m not fully denying guilt. I know that as a perfectionist the world doesn’t work the way I want it to, and I do have to conform in order to get by. For me, I’ve been working on “half-assing” stuff more, so I actually have the energy to work on things that actually matter. If the developers really do have this issue, they need to get over it if they want to see their career continue. All I ask is for some consideration. Royale high is not a corporation. There are people behind the Twitter pages and overdue updates, and you don’t have to be their “friend” to have some empathy.😊

thats fair, but usually (and i mean, most games) developers dont have to share their entire life and struggles for it; the fact that each and every rh player knows about their "suffering when making the game" is odd and definitly uncommon in the gaming industry. Theyre a stranger, and sure, a mistake can be made here and there, but definitly not everywhere. Also, I dont know about you, but when I was a child, i believed in jesus. It came out of nowhere all decorated for Christmas and then it was suddenly decorated for Valentine's day. While it probably took more than 3 months it definitely plays like it took only 3 months to make. I get coding is difficult (as I've taken a few classes on it) but the amount of bugs and lag in the castles heart is insane. Not even just the castles heart, the entire school is a laggy mess. Again coding and fixing bugs is difficult as hell i get that but thats not an excuse to release a game that barely functions. Heres some examples of glitches I've come across while playing •half the time the teleport button wont work • if you use the try on button in the dorms it flings you out of the map • if you teleport in first person it violently spins your camera around •characters not spawning in correctly •dorm items randomly disappearing •items randomly spawning into your dorms from your inventory •the undo button in the dorms not working sometimes •dorm items not spawning until you leave and rejoin Etc. You're telling me i waited 3 almost 4 years for a game that barely functions? Now heres a question for you, how long do you think the castles heart took to make, and if you've made games where can i find these games, also why do you defend the game and the devs so much when they clearly dont care about you and the rest of the community?

- if barbie can't do a few more mouse movements, a bunch of clicks, and have a pair of eyes glued to the screen to add and fix these problems about being inclusive and adding representation, what makes her a developer worth fighting for? live laugh love, barbie, but she's a grown adult who made a promise for these things and is too deep in to back out now
- if it's too much work for barbie, she might as well sell the game to a company who knows how to take care of a game in the first place! i'm not hating on barbie, but atp she sounds like a tired developer who has to babysit a large community

I love your points, they were so good and understanding. I dislike how the devs ignore the fact that some might be plus-sized, maybe in a wheelchair, lack of religious items. I heard that the Darling Valentina was supposed to be plus-sized, how come it became a skinny girls set? I dislike the fact that they are also removing the boys package and that all the users are supposed to use the girls package with a toggle that might not even change the fact that they still look like a girl. Back in the years, I was a role-player, I was one of a kind/j but then I had to change my ways once new cool sets came out (especially Whimsy Witch), maybe it'll be good for witch outfits. NPC like I had to farm, and farm, and farm. It is at this point goes for everybody. Some MVPS still can stand waiting ages for a roleplaying session.
It's so odd how much they try manipulating and threatening to remove the game if we keep pressuring them, even though they get profit of it. If I go back to the cultures, Religions and so on, I dislike the lack of it. We're all unique some and my opinion so there should be more of it. It's difficult to dress like a Muslim in RH due to the sets being so tight on the pants and so on. The Muslims who want to dress up as their own religion have to go a few extra steps in order to make it accurate than if a person just dressed up as a skinny basic (Not basic but hopefully you get my point) RH girl, it'd be really easy. Some do really good with making their religion/culture accurate in a game who doesn't support it really. Sure maybe the Cherry Blossom could be ish enough for those who want to make a Kimono or a Hanfu (also with few extra steps) to make it more accurate to culture. But it should be more better representation of cultures and religions in sets and such.
We all also have different bodies, maybe as a women way, maybe in the boy package way or maybe the new boy way. Removing the boy package might not express the ones who might have a different build from the women or boy package. This goes also for the plus-sized, it's like shaming them for being fat and saying that skinny girls are normal.
Somehow I also got shamed for playing in a game that includes dress up and that was originally meant for role playing and having fun?!?! Not my fault I want to roleplay in a game that has serious inflation and that I'm too tired to even farm for new stuff.
In my opinion, I think RH should be more transparent and ask the community what they think about this update for example or that example. Fix the bugs that the games have now, not exposing kids into thinking that their build, culture or religion is bad due to RH giving examples of that skinny girls are key. I mean some girls are skinny there's that but like it's like the head of the game. If one action leads to something bad, the kids might be influenced by that and their actions changing their visions about relationships or opinions, that is how sensitive kids can be exposed to bad stuff and be changed by it.
The diversity thing is so true. I was going to recreate my OC in RH, so I searched the vitiligo options in dress up. There were about 6 options, mostly recolors. I wish they added something where the player could paint the face however they wanted or at least something better than 6 options.
Ok this is worst than I thought. Ngl my main opinion in the game used to be that the community was too old and that constantly asking for updates instead of rp was just sad but now that I see that the devs are problematic too, yeah the game is straight up messy in both sides. Also I agree with the lack of gameplay especially in the new school. The quests are keeping us busy but it's a school, and school has classes! The new school came out unfinished and now it's more obvious than ever.

This is critical of me but i think sometimes it's best to say the cold hard truth.
If other games can do it what's stopping the RH devs. Think Stardew Valley, think Undertale, FNAF, and so many more. These games are made by individuals or small dev teams and they make games that people continue to come back to. People can't defend the RH dev's by saying "have you ever made a game... it's hard", when other games that were created under similar circumstances as RH perform better. The facts are that royale high doesn't have as many players. As a consumer who has spent a lot of money on this game. i assume the downfall is because of many reasons, but i'll list a few that are my reasons. I would like good content. not whatever royalloween 2023 was, and not a decorated map with an new advent. i don't think the community should settle for a new halo, some new items, and a slightly different map. what happened to updates like sunset island, earth, etc. I want updates that are fun to play. i would love for more diversity, it's unfair that some kids don't get to represent themselves in a game they love. it's unfair and should be talked about more. i want more communication, again royalloween 2023 we found out she was sick from someone looking at her discord. we have the official RH twitter for a reason. and finally, the fact that it's so much harder to get diamonds now, and prices of items keep going up. not everyone trades, i for one hate trading for profit. i get my diamonds from grinding and it's so much harder to grind now. i don't have much more to say, maybe RH will get its act together, i hope. that's what i think at least..

Something that has always annoyed me about the RH commnity is when people say "The devs are only human, they need breaks" or "Barbie can't add that, why are you complaining? They work so hard for us!" Like I'm sorry my love but it's their JOB, if it was a hobby that Barbie had I would understand but this is her income 😭. Imagine you went to an Aldi cashier and they were on their phone on the till while a huge line of customers were waiting. You would be so frustrated! Also imagine you asked them to get back to work and they said "I've already worked hard for you, I deserve some time off". Like that just doesn't work. 😅Like yes the devs do deserve breaks but a break doesn't mean 3-5 months with no content or updates

I don't follow a religion that has strict rules on what I can and can't wear in my day to day life but I do like to be modest. Also RH is getting more and more pay to win. If you can't afford robux then you have to literally grind all day just to get 1/4 of the way closer to buying some heels. Like for example the WW heels. If you converted diamonds to £, those heels would be worth more than my lifespan🫠. Also believe it or not but most people do like to put down their Ipad once in a while and go to a mysterious, unexplored realm called ✨outside✨and touch a mysterious entity commonly known as ✨grass✨. Like most people (at least I hope) have a life outside of RH.

Some criticism. When you talk, you seem to only address other people talking without talking about the things that brought up the discussion, making the video hard to follow. Maybe in the future you could address the controversies first and then the public response.
I also have some things to say about the parasocial relationship bit. I don’t have Twitter and only get information about the game through UA-camrs. I also don’t really like calin and I have never cared about online celebrities in the slightest. All this to say, that this is coming from a person who I believe is very unlikely to form a parasocial relationship with a developer.
The way the devs have been acting towards criticism doesn’t strike me as people who don’t care and are only looking for the money in our pockets. To me, they seem genuinely invested in the game and by proxy in the community. The things people like calin and especially Launce say don’t feel like they’re coming out of hatred but out of pressure and stress. I am not going to rant about the developers being overworked or anything, but I just want to entertain the possibility that the devs are _human._
I am what one would call a perfectionist. What this means for me is that I tend to bite off more than I can chew, starting new projects before I’m finished with others. I also work painfully slowly on things that seem trivial to others. I just can’t rush things. I’ve always said that I’m either 0 or 100 in terms of energy; I either do something to the best of my abilities or I don’t do it at all. In addition, I like to manage things on my own, working silently, even in groups. What this usually results in is people feeling like I’m slacking off, not doing my work, only for me to turn in a great finished product at the very end. Or, that’s what would happen if I didn’t also have ADHD.
Enough about me. What I see in myself with my work lines up almost 1 to 1 with the devs’ work pattern. They’re quiet, take longer than others would expect, and turn in a great finished product. (To me, at least.) When you experience things other people haven’t experienced, you see things other people can’t see. And I see myself in these developers, or at least in Barbie. (the most enigmatic of the crew)
I really don’t believe the developers are “out to get us.” To me, their responses strike me as stress induced, probably from dealing with a public who doesn’t understand their work process. Call it a parasocial relationship if you’d like.
Now, as nice as this is, I’m not fully denying guilt. I know that as a perfectionist the world doesn’t work the way I want it to, and I do have to conform in order to get by. For me, I’ve been working on “half-assing” stuff more, so I actually have the energy to work on things that actually matter. If the developers really do have this issue, they need to get over it if they want to see their career continue. All I ask is for some consideration. Royale high is not a corporation. There are people behind the Twitter pages and overdue updates, and you don’t have to be their “friend” to have some empathy.😊

I'm going to put my own opinion here. yall are dissing an unfinished game. there's still a lot of updates coming to rh, it isn't finished. there isn't "no gameplay", it just isn't a finished game, they're still FINISHING the game. and again, whether or not you guys want to listen and understand this, the devs DONT actually owe us anything, it's all work they're doing for their enjoyment and money. and this is coming from me who does love rh, I play daily as a transmasc poc and it is frustrating having the smaller feminine "male" bodies instead of just having the new and prettier items be compatible with the older masculine stuff, and having no real cultural representation, but it isn't ruining my life. because, again, as simple as its able to be put, devs literally owe us nothing. they do this because they want to and to make money!! if you care so much about the customization options to the point it makes you not want to play, play something else.

thats fair, but usually (and i mean, most games) developers dont have to share their entire life and struggles for it; the fact that each and every rh player knows about their "suffering when making the game" is odd and definitly uncommon in the gaming industry. Theyre a stranger, and sure, a mistake can be made here and there, but definitly not everywhere.
Also, I dont know about you, but when I was a child, i believed in jesus. I sure as hell wanted my dolls to wear a cross necklace when I was small. Also, I was always on a search for dolls and toys which were dark skinned, had curly hair, etc. I found dolls who both look like me and different from me interesting. I can same the exact same for my friends. Children, in fact, do care.

It came out of nowhere all decorated for Christmas and then it was suddenly decorated for Valentine's day.
While it probably took more than 3 months it definitely plays like it took only 3 months to make.
I get coding is difficult (as I've taken a few classes on it) but the amount of bugs and lag in the castles heart is insane. Not even just the castles heart, the entire school is a laggy mess. Again coding and fixing bugs is difficult as hell i get that but thats not an excuse to release a game that barely functions. Heres some examples of glitches I've come across while playing
•half the time the teleport button wont work
• if you use the try on button in the dorms it flings you out of the map
• if you teleport in first person it violently spins your camera around
•characters not spawning in correctly
•dorm items randomly disappearing
•items randomly spawning into your dorms from your inventory
•the undo button in the dorms not working sometimes
•dorm items not spawning until you leave and rejoin
Etc.
You're telling me i waited 3 almost 4 years for a game that barely functions?
Now heres a question for you, how long do you think the castles heart took to make, and if you've made games where can i find these games, also why do you defend the game and the devs so much when they clearly dont care about you and the rest of the community?
