Her beauty and her talent reminds me of a classic moviestar of the golden era...she is a throwback...hope she gets some big movie roles after this preformance.
She deserves it!! Stunningly and unabashedly feminine, yet strong, intelligent and determined. A love story of classical and timeless proportion. Well written!

Stunning!! From the first moment Alexandra walked up to spencer at the bar, she sparkeled! There was a group of girls and i didnt know she was going to be a starring role, but once i saw that scene, i just stopped and said out loud to the room "i dont know who that girl is, but boy shes amazing!"
I know there are other great actirs in the show, but really, seeing Alex was my main reason for staying in touch with this show.
If Miss Julia is in ANYTHING i am there 100%!!

I am a huge fan of Costner, but let's be real... It's Sheridan's Yellowstone. With all the series/stories ha has going at once he deserves to be recognized. The guy is a genius.
I think she slipped into a British accent when she said "ahead" about upcoming stuff for Alex and Spencer. Those two are so great in the show, and I can see now her accent is flawless. Can't wait to see more!

The thing is though.......Brits are really any better at doing American accents 98% of the time. They think they are......but they aren't lol.

My sister lives in Petsworth, and moved there 25 years ago.
Now her family in the USA thinks she sounds British, but the Brits still think she sounds American.

I have been a fan ever since I saw her at Politician.
50 Cent created the Power universe, Taylor created the Yellowstone universe, and HBO/GRR Martin created that GOT universe. We have had some amazing television.
She may hate this, but Julia Schlaepfer is so great in her character, I never want to see or hear (that accent) her any other way.

Lots of love stories seemingly start that way but like humsn nature we have to see now if it was love or lust. Now it looked like love but so have a lot of love stories. Okay time to shut up when reality hits home. I enjoyed the show. Enjoyed the show in real time too.

Her different inflections in her accent, whether she’s being playful, flirty, serious…those really get me. “My knight in shining armor” when she runs away with Spencer, for example. She’s absolutely brilliant.
And the immersion of her love for Spencer, as this character, plays a huge part in this chemistry.
She's the best actress in the whole thing..I just know sheridan's gonna kill her off before she gets to montana and that will suck...

yes and I feel like that was a giveaway that they aren't going to make it back to Yellowstone Ranch by the end of this season since she said their storylines don't overlap. She made it like they only got to work together at Cowboy Camp.

Taylor Sheridan has changed entertainment. Showing non woke hair raising stories, it just captures everyone’s imagination. There is a deep spiritual element in it too- not just intrigue, sex and violence.

I just like that 1923 doesn't "whitewash" the Native American dehumanization stuff like 1883 did. That was some real BS - acting like "Indians" were these revered people that the imperialist Europeans got along so well with. "Oh! It's THEIR land after all! Let's go to them when we need to repair our clothes, wagons, heal wounds and illnesses, etc. They are holy people!" And the main character is this southern white bell that falls in love with a Native warrior and has this progressive battle with her family to go off with him... ugh.
The whole storyline with the indian girls school is closer to depicting the horrors inflicted on the indigenous people by foreign settlers, at least.
It sounds like you were there. BTW: "Native Amerian" is a term invented by the same white government that restricted injuns to reservations and broke treaties.

"Injun" is a pejorative term these days, and I'm also going to assume you meant it in terms of the offensive vernacular of the times. It (1883) just reeked of a lot of the rewriting of history that a lot of the 1984, dystopian, "anti-CRT" / fascistic book-banning maga crowd are engaging in these days (schools in certain counties Florida have outlawed the teaching of slavery, for example). I was put off that the 'happy-go-lucky' image of kinship between whites and indigenous peoples that was portrayed so overtly in 1883 was placating to that crowd of bigots. Was glad to see 1923 highlight the realities of the true plight of Native Americans at the hands of imperial-/colonialists (and the worst "-ist" combo in recent world history: racists + capitalists).

I love all the Yellowstone shows however there are story lines that I hated. The Timothy Dalton S&M was disturbing ass was the Indian section. I disliked Teona mostly for her weird mouth and teeth, they were hard to watch and I never warmed uup tp her.
