Man, I’m glad you’ve enjoyed yours. I love the way the work, but I couldn’t even get them to pair! They grow great coral! But the radions are coloring a lot of my corals in ways the red seas never did… I have an indo gold torch which I never liked and now it’s becoming beautiful :)
Yeah I also might make the switch once my lights start giving out but till then all keep theses on. Yeah I’ve seen what those lights can do and everything looks pretty amazing under them good luck wit them keep us posted.

Hey man, could you share a picture or 2 of the lights in the bracket? I’ve thought about swapping but wasn’t sure how they would fit. Think I’ll do 3 XR15s instead of the 2 30s.
I'll probably do radeons in a larger tank setup but for now, i'm not having any issues at all with my LED 90's. That being said, it's only been 2 years so once I hit that 5 year mark who know's? I love the goose neck look and Do not like that bulky long bar look, but i know I can just pendant light mount them from other's I've seen.
Aside from the 5G band issue, did you switch power supplies on the lights? ive heard that they have had power supply issues that, if not providing the correct voltage to the light because it is failing, could cause weird issues like what you have experienced.
Another interesting theory. I never switched power supply to the light, or Wi-Fi source for that matter 😕 it’s odd to me that they worked perfect for about a year, and then all of a sudden started having issues. But I’ll give this some thought! I should be receiving my warranty replacement soon for the Red Sea 90, so maybe as soon as that gets back, I can run some tests and let you know!

Both would be great for zoas, and both those lights are great overall 💪 The bottom dwelling corals like zoas are happy with just about anything. It’s mainly color your evaluating for a coral like a Zoa, and both radions and hydra have incredible spectrums

I think you are using a 5G WiFi channel and that’s the issue. A lot of these lights (many brands, and not just lights) need a dedicated 2.4 ghz WiFi channel - and boom, you’ll be good. I’m about to change FROM radions to Red Sea 90’s, so here we go… more to say soon, I guess! Keeping the Gen4 radions JIC
@Chris H, this is the best hypothesis and explanation I’ve received from anyone, including Red Sea support! You could very well be right! Let me know how your journey goes with the Red Seas. If you’re right, I can’t think of a better bang for buck option for great reef lightning!
@@tylerhuxford3440 definitely appreciate that, I wish more vendors would explain that 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is required for these types of devices. It seems to cause a lot of confusion and disappointment. I recently added a hydros control system to my aquarium to replace a failed Apex, and I had to do the same thing - make sure it was on a 2.4 ghz Wi-Fi channel to make sure that it stays connected. Once I did that it worked beautifully - I’ll keep you posted!

I agree with getting the “blue” series, I like the blue pop also. My other choice was to get XR 15 generation five in the blue series - haven’t made the purchase yet either way. Thoughts?
@@chrish6659 no worries at all! Chats like these are helpful and appreciated! So these are XR30’s blue series, and are the G5’s. I did that for two reasons: number one being they are on sale right now at BRS (they’re even lower now then when I bought them a month or two ago) and the number two reason being, I don’t think the G6’s are much different or improved from the G5’s. G5’s instantly added more power than I’ll ever need, and certainly more juice than the red seas.
So far my favorite is the A500X but I have a 180G, I have 2 Quanta Pros on the other side of the tank for soft corals, won a XR15 Blue I didnt realize I entered for on WWCs sale so going to try it as well, havn’t been a huge fan of the AI primes but they are ok. Viparspextra was too teal/white for me but makes a good fuge light Here for the Krak

So it’s all order online! The guy runs the frag shop form his house, and after you make an order, you can schedule time to pick it up at his house and he’ll give you a tour of the basement where we grows things ☺️ it’s not really a place you go just to browse without purchasing

I hate red sea lights the app and connection problems are to common with them basically won’t work at all because there’s no way to operate the light externally greedy Corpo junk .
