As an owner of the Original G1 version it’s good to see these new upgrades variants. My only wish was to have access to the shows they are referenced to. I’m out of the loop and can’t find these shows. UA-cam doesn’t have them all.
@@Delfromteamrad I find when you get things in the mail they are often really cold - since they've been sitting in unheated warehouses - so you can't really miss the metal parts right off as they are pretty chilled in such instances.
@@Delfromteamrad Yes I know he's speaking to some other channel when he mention cold touch in that particular manner - I was just discussing the point in general terms - just so you know it didn't go right over my head - which I'd guess the 'sigh' was for,
They don't usually as there is no room for the pin to move some people have tried heating them up and forcing them - but they just as often just break them.
I have Highbrow here, Hardhead, Brainstorm, & Skullcruncher, and they are ALL excellent figures! I picked each one up for about $15 each on Aliexpress a couple years ago, but even now they aren't expensive. You're basically getting previous voyager class sized figures at old deluxe class prices, which are bigger than current SIEGE voyagers, and about HALF the cost... WITH fixes and slight upgrades the originals did not have going for them, such as wrist panels on Hardhead & Skullcruncher.
I have all seven of them and I'm not even considering picking up Hasbro's versions we just need scorpinox to come out and the headmasters will finally be complete
Hey Baltmatrix I love all your videos, I have found that the blocky pegs will fit under the wings so the molded landing gear will work as on the titans version.
They do on the original the mould is a little different on the over size so they don't really fit so well like that. also due to the die cast it will tip backwards if you do get it to work - I've been thinking about putting some sort of counter weight in the nose to see if I can fix that though. I got all these a long time ago - somewhere like Faithtoptalk on eBay has them. So far there is (from memory) oversizes of. Titans Returns: Chromedome Brainstorm Highbrow Skullcruncher (Skullsmasher) Hard Head Weird Wolf (Wolf Wire) & Mindwipe More of these are due as Repaints of various kinds. (including a rather spiffy Beast Wars Crocodile Megatron made out of Skullsmasher) RID Sideswipe RID Bumblebee RID Grimlock RID Strongarm RID Megatronus (I recommend that one a lot) RID Optimus Combiner Wars: Streetwise Rook (and a Dark blue repaint) Alpha Bravo Hotspot First Aid Off Road & Breakdown POTP: The Dinobots exist in Power Ranger like colours and also in G1 Colours. You can also get Slash in oversized form too. They are a hair smaller than the others but not by much - same is true of the Siege Sideswipe and Hound they are also a tiny bit shorter. Siege : Optimus Prime (at least 2 different kinds) Sideswipe (just got him he's super nice) Hound A slightly oversize Megatron is due soon too. There are also a tone of options in Movie toys - way to many to list and in a variety of sizes. There is also Over-Overscale Voyager sized Generations Legends class toys both with and without their Targetmaster/Micromasters. That includes : Bumblebee Starscream Optimus Prime Megatron & Pipes & also an over-Overscale DX9's version of Ratchet who like Megatronus is also well worth a buy.... As he's not a Hasbro Product when bought with a Micromaster he instead comes with a repaint of the Helicopter one From Bumblebee in Orange. Oddly the guns on these are rather useful I use them for the Generations Battalion figures. Actually if there is anything all of the above goes with well it's Battalion Figures. KO's of them are also available too with added metal parts. Another similar product is Wei Jiang's Computron inspired combiner which is available in 2 colours & is also getting a bunch of repaints including Ravage and Tigertron cars. Finally in terms of other sizes ; note worthy products include the just released 1-1 scale candy colour Combiner Wars stuff. and the Undersized Combiner Wars Devastator. Also there is all those JinBao Overscale 3rd party Combiners which are kinda fun too especially Bruticus (Warbotron) and Gravity Builder/Devastator (Generation Toy) though they may be TO BIG for some people. But there is a low cost Daban of lower cost simplified NBK version and a VERY simplified JJ version which isn't really worth buying unless you can just get Scrapper and Hook on their own.
Seabrow Fighter :P. Die cast makes very little sense in case of this figure (except making it extremely back heavy in vehicle mode :)), but I like these tiny improvements - foldable rotors, foldable vertical stabilizer. What I don't like is the face, it's nicely painted but it's horribly blurry compared to actual Highbrow. Paint applications are scarcer, figure is missing red stripes on top of the vehicle mode and silver paint on cockpit windshield. The "5mm" peg holes are upscaled unevenly, I have plugged guns into ones at the ends of the wings and I thought I'll never pull them out. "Clips" on guns should fit into hexagonal ports, but again, unevenly scaled. Joints on my figure are mostly tight, some too tight - pulling out chest panel requires a lot of force, just like swinging that double hinge which connects cockpit to the torso. All in all, it's a nice figure for its price, nothing exceptional but nothing really bad. In case of the rest, I'd recommend Zhuge Fighter (Brainstorm), he has a lot of improvements (paint on nosecone guns, die cast toes, paint on small wings on his shoulders, smoked black cockpit windshield, two small guns instead of one) and Diehard (Hardhead) - the same as above (forearm fillers, additional paint on large cannon, colour matched small gun, black wheels and smoked black cockpit windshield).
Well, it's sort of Chinese Amazon, b2c platform, where sellers run their stores. The point is that there is a lot of counterfeit and unlicensed products being sold at Ali, I doubt any reviewer wants to be even remotely associated with such place (sponsors might withdraw their support), so it's better for them to pretend that such place as AliExpress doesn't exist.
It’s raining where u are too...wow! Love the review though keep up good work and if you get a chance maybe you can give me some pointers on how to get more views on my channel. Ty
I don't (and will never) get why people are so fond of die cast, seems like a material that only increases price point, can cause balancing issues, is prone as all hell to paint scratching off, and probably dents easier than plastic... I fucking hate die cast.
Considering how many Americans can't seem to use plurals properly and over use singulars - I welcome the reverse as a change of pace from muttering about them saying Proper instead of Properly or Complete instead of Completely or using 'casted' or 'Broadcasted' as a word for the past tense of 'cast' and 'Broadcast' and so on. I find that more distracting it's like they stop before they get to the end of words or something.
I wish they had done more of these upscales. I'd have been thrilled to have the whole TR line in this scale.
I presume you are referring to the COLD TOUCH TECHNIQUE

Very nice! It just shows how much better the hasbro fig could've been.
Thanks for the fun review. I'm a big fan of these over sized figures and hope to pick them up myself.
