  • UNCLE C'MON CHANGED OUR PLANS! TWO MINDS ARE BETTER THAN ONE! A VERY BAD DAY!
It started out just another day. It was going to just be a nice simple lumber drop off. And then as Uncle David likes to say, "It's a game plan... Not a set plan." Plans changed, and then things got bad. REALLY BAD!

Mike, what you said made sense the first time. Bc if y'all would have detached the trailer, with all of that weight, that tractor most likely could have pulled the truck out and then hooked it back up from a different angle...
Glad y'all got it worked out 😊

Mike I agree with many that you need to cut and gravel a driveway road before any construction or your going to get stuck in muck !! And then that will cost you even more!! You need to map out a plan along with costs to that plan and start with a good driveway up to the area you want to build!! If you dont !! Your talking alot of problems!! ❤ Thanks for sharing!! ❤Mamma Carolyn

I mean, all that sounds great. But the fact of the matter is that a drive way costs 1,000s of dollars.
It will come when we can make it happen.
Until then, we will be moving in 2 months time.

It's not wise to " jump the gun" you need to think out what your doing!! Going onto a wet area with a pay load that's heavy isn't thinking !! Be smart about your plans!! Or it will be very costly!! Thanks for sharing!! ❤ Mamma Carolyn

There’s a reason the old timer built that barn where it is because the bottom land is to unpredictable with water. Build high and farm low. Much to be said that every one that visits gets stuck I love watching your family videos I hope you will think placement of your buildings. Still following.

I love the old barn Keep it add supports where needed change the front door to face your house whereever you decide to place it, this way you can get gravel and hay you need to do the driveway. I love that old barn its beautiful. The mess inside is making it look bad, but the whole family can work hard to clean it out.

Your barn should be close to your house. Close enough to make it convenient to care for your animals in bad weather, especially in winter. But then you don't have very bad winters in Arkansas. I live in Maine, where traditionally barns used to be built right onto the back of the farmhouse, connected by an "ell", sort of a breezeway or shed connecting the barn to the house so you wouldn't have to go outside in a blizzard to milk the cows.

If y'all are interested and if I can ever make the 4 hour trip down to a meet-up or something, I'd be happy to bring you some "austree willow" tree starts and help plant them if you like. I've made an entire fence row from clippings from just 3 trees. They are great for filtered shade, wind break, privacy, land erosion, and other things. They are wind and snow load tolerant when planted deep enough to establish a deep root ball and aren't dangerous if a limb breaks off. They grow 10-15 feet a year and can establish full growth to around 70 to 80 feet within 5-7 years. I've started with as small as my thumb and as big as my wrist with great results from green bark. It's all a process and you'll get there in time with your land. Thanks for taking us along with your family as you make it grow through the changes. Best wishes and take care. 💜

I love your property and you had a chance with the rain to find out where all the low spots are and where the rain is going to cause puddles but as far as the barn building that barn where you plan to put it on it’s too close to the road the gate to your entrance is right next to where you want to build your barn. Don’t be so anxious. I would take my time and really go through your land and find a better place to build that barn. What do you plan to put in there? It’s too close to the road to have animals. It’s too close to the road to keep any of your tools. I don’t know how many people go down that road, but that barn would be an access to them. I would build the barn somewhere off not that close to the road. Now that barn is a perfect place to build like a little stand to eventually maybe sell eggs because the more chickens you get the more eggs you’re gonna get you can sell them if Alyssa‘s good and gardening you can sell produce there because people going down the road and they see a little stand there with fresh eggs, fresh vegetables that’s a good spot to make a little garden around that area to grow produce that you can sell, even some of Alyssa‘s craft.
I’m sure you can Scout the land and find some more high places where you can build your barn closer to the shouse closer to where you plan to build your home, just take your time. Don’t be so anxious. Everything will be done in due time. And remember, Mike, even if there’s a little bit of a wet ground, you can always build up. Whatever you build doesn’t have to be touching the ground. You can always build up. Just some suggestions. I’m excited for you but just take your time.

Honestly they were not worth moving on the first and second time. But they were not meant to be out in the weather also. Get a chainsaw milling system. It's not to expensive. It's hard slow work but it works on a low budget. Probably the cheapest way for you to go. You have the free trees on the property. To use for a simple roofing system. Maybe just rebuild a simple shed type roof on the old building. Good luck...

I'm no tractor expert but Google says
While technically you could use a tractor with a bush hog attached to pull a stuck vehicle, it is not recommended as the bush hog is not designed for pulling heavy loads and could potentially be damaged or become unstable during the process; it's best to use a dedicated towing hitch or a heavy-duty chain connected directly to the tractor's drawbar for pulling stuck vehicles.
Not trying to be mean but why does everyone keep driving across all the mud and rutted areas just to get stuck. Drive on the dead grass that hasn't been driven on yet. Check out the area for standing water and mark off where to drive or not to drive. Surely your not doing it for video content, how many channels need to post getting stuck in the mud. It's just frustrating to watch you getting stuck when there was a different way to go. Please don't damage Lift, take the bush hog off to pull out vehicles. Just had to add my 2 cents. 😊

I don't understand men ?? That land is wet and messy but still they think they can drive on it and mess it up all that does is cause more unnecessary work and expense . Just like Gary he's messed his property up because he refuses to Waite till it dries

Ralphie is not a problem. And unless he becomes one, he will be welcomed on Dreamers Valley. We will, of course, have our dogs secured. Who knows, maybe they will get along?

Check with his owner and make sure he has been vaccinated you don't want no dog running with your dogs and your children and have not been vaccinated

If y'all are interested and if I can ever make the 4 hour trip down to a meet-up or something, I'd be happy to bring you several austree willow trees and help plant them. I've started them from as small as my thumb to as big as my wrist in diameter. They are beautiful for wind break, filtered shade, privacy, erosion control, and other things. They grow 10-15 feet a year and are wind and snow load tolerant as long as you plant a deep root ball. Even still ... if limbs break, they aren't so heavy to become dangerous. They top out at around 70 to 80 ft high within about 5-7 years, but I've had them grow out to about 3-4 years. Even 1 or 2 established trees can make an entire fence row just from green bark clippings. You'll get things going in time. Thanks for taking us along, as I really enjoy watching y'all grow with your family. Take care. 💜

Hi Mike and Lyssa, great job , love you guys ❤❤❤ just a suggestion while the ground is wet, you can rake the dirt back in the holds they made with the cars and truck.❤❤❤❤

I don’t understand WHY David and you run equipment over y’all’s property when the ground is wet? You’re going to ruin a good field but it’s your field to rut up.

Suggestion. Maybe call different sections of the property different names. Paris, London, and Rome? 😅

He’s wrong. Think about all the gravel you’ll need on the drive way to get all of the back to where he’s talking about.
