Jason should have jilted Sarah again for not caring about her brother. I know Bethany could have died but it's partly thanks to Jason getting David to own up that Bethany is still alive and even he was just as disgusted with David and it's also true Jason could have died from his fall but he didn't even though he did have serious fractures. Gail went too far chucking David out and David felt genuine remorse for what he did to Bethany. Maybe if Sarah put her photography on hold and put Bethany first maybe none of this would have happened especially as Bethany had to be sent home from school early due to a gas leak.
