This is the best game in the original Triple Play series, with TP 2001 being second. The '98 series of EA Sports titles were my favorites from the PlayStation.

I seriously watched this entire game while working today and I was getting worried that San Diego was going to blow it! lol. Bottom 9th, 2 out, bases loaded, ground ball to the 2nd basemen and he throws to 3rd?!?!? Glad San Diego held on and thanks for the upload! This game is very nostalgic. I loved the promos for Lobster Cola, Chork, and some of the others! Classic. Buck Martinez!

What teams would you like to see play against each other?
@@VideoGaming4U I'm not sure. Maybe a battle of the two Chicago teams, a subway series with the New York teams, or maybe Red Sox Yankees at Fenway, but it's up to you. Also, maybe you can do a playoffs (I think there's a game mode for that). Also, I'm looking for someone who did an entire regular season of this game. I tried that once, but it was hard to figure out.
@@VideoGaming4U maybe do one with Tampa Bay and Arizona. I seem to recall you can actually create rosters for those teams since they were not officially part of MLB until a year later.

Ken caminiti died 10 10.2004 same day as Christopher reeve. He had struggled with alcoholism steroid use his entire mlb career and 1996 the year of his mvp season he admitted of steroid use he also had an addiction to cocaine in the events leading to his own death

Triple Play is on of the best series from EA Sports. Not sure why they quit making them.

@@VideoGaming4U well I learned that after triple play 2002 sales were not the greatest and rebranded to mvp baseball and after a while sales were poor and thus making ea sports mlb games discontinued . I had also learned because mlb 2k games kept getting average or poor reviews during the ps3 Xbox 360 lifespan 2k decided to discontinue the mlb video game series as well

@@VideoGaming4U yup your welcome.what alot of people I knew did not know is that in world series baseball 2k1 u can indeed skip the national anthem just press y+b at the same time on the dreamcast controller. This game had 10 out of 10 visuals but a 5 out of 10 in gameplay and controls and it was released 7 17 2000 midway through the 2000 baseball while for several months we were already playing better. Baseball games like triple play 2001.and all star baseball 2001
