For those who don't know, leverage is the use of debt (borrowed money) for your own business. In this case, they are investing borrowed money.
Example: if you have an initial £100 and 1 share costs £10, you can basically buy only 10 shares. If you
5X leverage: £100 x 5 = £500, you can now buy 50 shares instead of 10.
The upside is if the price of the share increases to £15, your profit, (10x15) - (10x10) = £50, is x5 which is 50x£5=£250. However, if the price goes down to £5, you make a loss of £50x5=£250. Profit/loss without leverage = £50. Profit/loss with 5X leverage = 5 x £50 = £250.
In other words, leverage just amplifies the profit or loss you're gonna make which is why people who are not very knowledgeable about how the market works should never leverage trade

And what if you cant pay that £250 lose ? Like what if you have just £50 and you trade with 5x leverage and you lose to £250 but you can't pay those £250 ? Is it possible ? Or you must have in your balance £300 to be able to trade £50 with 5x leverage ?

@@karal.a.2197 Generally, depending on your account type there’ll be a capped leverage. If a trade is going terribly your broker will likely automatically margin call your positions, or warn you about it. Unless you’re on a cash account, yes, you can lose more money than is in the account, and you will owe that to the broker.
@@Toodaloonumber2 If its futures on Binance he most likely was doing stupid amounts of leverage and getting liquidated repeatedly. With how much leverage you can use on binance, you could set up isolated trades on say x50 leverage and get liquidated when it's goes 2 percent against your position.

He's not blaming 'China'. The counter-party on leveraged bets will often be bots in China run on algorithms. KSI literally lost his money to code in China.
