I really appreciated your straightforward approach and the books you shared. Thank you!
For a literary agent it took a damn long time to get to the point
JC as co-author? OY VEY!
This is a good topic..Thank you.
Is there a website for literary agents globally?
MS wishlist has a good number of international agents
@@whooville Thank you!
QueryTracker is my go to site for finding literary agents.
I am an Uber and Lyft driver. I have completed 45,000 rides. I have more than 485,000 miles on my Toyota Camry hybrid XLE .I have started writing a book about stories of my Rideshare journeys. Can you help me in publishing this book?
Thanks for your expertise
learning to write a pitch letter to a literary agent, is the single most Darwinian experience in your life!
Dawinian?
I mean, seriously, read all these other people here, scrambling to get noticed. They've been eaten by seagulls, okay?

It’s so hard to find an agent why! Why is it so hard
Because time is unbelievably precious to agents and they have very little to waste on anything that requires a lot of work to sell. When they take you on they are taking an enormous gamble.
@@brendanmcnally9145 but. My idea (already completed first book) should be easy to sell. I mean, fans of The Dresden Files and Monster Hunter international should be very inclined to give mine a try
@@ThatOneGuyOverThere That sounds pretty good. Focus on agents that handle that sort and write an incredibly tight pitch letter. It's got to be really really good. Agents are super selective. Good luck cheers
is there some one here , that became an agent in this company, i've met him on telegram and he gave me a script to re type it all and now the payment is too troublesome , do i really need to purchase a company id and there's a payment to a Vat too
And we wonder why the world is drowning in slush? How many truly amazing works were tossed because of one person’s opinion especially giving it the quick scan through? Because when you look around it’s bleak at best. It’s going to be
interesting to see if AI will be chosen over the eyes of agents, but then again AI might be writing the books too.
No it won't because it can't. We call it AI but it's not actual intelligence, it's unable to create. It can be given parameters and source information to produce something but It lacks the basic ability to truly create nor can it judge something as subjective as art because art while it has rules those rules are guidelines and not absolutes and it can not determine when going outside of those rules is better.
I have a completed manuscript about a missionary to Kenya who served for 30 years after contracting AIDS. It is written in a third person privileged style much like a novel. Should I call it biography or narrative non fiction?
If it’s a real story completely then it’s a biography right? Google descriptions of things
Very cool Jonathan! Thank you!
I wanted one plse
Thank you so much!
Great Advice/Information!
Hope you're doing well! I've written two books-one on deep thoughts and another on love stories. Struggling to find a publisher. Any advice or help from you would be awesome.
Write better.
@@Zachbob0123 Have you seen the shitty writers who get published?!
I do need a Literary Agent.
Serious writer here. First book. It definitely will need to be a series as its well beyond 100,000 words of carefully and poetically crafted profoundedness described in unlike any other forms or texts I've personally read.
Casual hatred of Jesus 😂 Now try insulting the Talmud if you’re such a brave soul 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Saying "one interesting writer listed Jesus as his co-author. We weren't sure how to write that into a contract." Isn't hating Jesus, goofy.
