good video, nice to see a tierlist from someone who actually understands how the game is played at high elo/plays at high elo, and not the 15th tierlist that talks about glitch nades being a niche pick when its one of the strongest gadgets in the game.
Great video! It is great to see how embark balanced the gadgets and now almost all of them are viable and not busted. In my opinion the smoke is B and APS is C nowadays, it was S tier before the nerf but denying 3 grenades in such small area is a bit niche.
just started playing this game pretty cool game watching your videos to understand the game better. i like the light class. breath of fresh air from season 0 apex player, started warzone this year but this game is perfect.
Barricade is underrated,it is super good for defending combine with hammer. The correct way to use it is to put at the corner when you are inside a building, you have 2 charges so you can put at two corners, you just hide behind it and give them a surprise.
My favorite gadgets for medium are explosive mines and gas mines. I use them as an escape tool (especially the explosive one, as it does a lot of damage instantly). After killing someone, I lose health and so have to escape from an enemy who is chasing me, so I use the explosive or gas mine to block the path: either the enemy takes the mine to follow me, or he has to go another way, which allows me to escape. Both mines recharge fairly quickly, and are also good tools for defending objectives (especially the gas mine, as it prevents you from taking the objective for a while). Inevitably, the defibrillator, as it allows you to revive your teammates very quickly. I tried the jump pad, which is useful for jumping to escape, but it only works outdoors, and most of the fighting takes place indoors. It also recharges slowly. The zipline could be useful as an escape tool, but on it you go straight ahead, so it's an easy target. For the light, the vanishing bomb as an escape tool and the sonar grenade to find out where the enemies are. The stun gun, although I don't use it much given its range. For the heavy, the barricade: you can hide behind it to recover your health, or use it as cover. Explosive mine and pyro mine: same principle as the medium. The RPG-7 is nice for doing a lot of damage at once, but I find that it takes too long to get your weapon back, so I don't use it much.
I feel like jump pad is a must especially since the latest update. Besides using it as an escape tool, you can use it to go faster to objectives as a squad. Now that we get 30% of the cash price by initiating the cashout, it’s important to be first. And as an escape tool, I usually use it outside building, so I can quickly escape the building and go back up in the fight unexpectedly. Finally it can be used too as a defense tool. Placing a pad near cashout or in stairs prevent people from pushing or at least waist time. It can also be placed on wall to quickly dash across a room
@@JeuneF Jump pad is now 40 seconds cooldown, it's even worse. It's good to move faster but I prefer staying alive than being the first on the objective. I have tried good grenade and it's better as a escape tool than the gas mine. U can use it to block a path like that ennemies can't follow you, as a recover or to hide behind it. Defibrillator, goo grenade and explosive mine for the medium. Dome shield (it's better than the barricade), goo grenade and explosive mine for the heavy. Vanishing bomb, goo grenade and sonar grenade for the light.
@@Xenos118even with the 40 sec cooldown I’d rather play with pad than goo, you just have to pick it up more often. And dying because I’m first to start the cash out isn’t a big of a deal, since you get 30% by just doing that, and lose 10% if you get wiped. So I’d rather start a cash out and potentially get wiped, than staying alive and missing the 30%. Also if you have a heavy in your team, it’s a pain in the ass to move around the map for them, goo won’t do any favor for heavy’s mobility. Finally if you watch the latest tournament, almost everyone is running : - heal beam/demat - pad/zip-line - frag grenade/zip-line - defib In the end, it’s just about play styles and personal habits. But objectively the meta is what’s stated above for medium. Might not work for you tho
@ and you still don’t have any mobility to go up (which is usually the most important), punish yourself and your team by using a specialization out of fight (not always the case don’t get me wrong), and you’re still slower than a pad/zip-line.
Thanks for the video! I've been running pretty much the same gadgets on each class for the last couple seasons... Maybe its time to switch things up a bit more!
The grav cube is a good “mouse trap”, run round a corner and throw it on them then BOOM!! free kill unless your lower health or bad shot😂😂 but they are basically a “sitting” duck floating in the air
I would say the gravity cube’s uses are a bit more than just that, they *do* give you more movement capability and they also let you trap players in rooms - can’t go through a doorway when you’re stuck on the ceiling. But yeah, it’s kind of hard to deploy it in ways that are actually meaningful, and some of heavy’s other gadgets are so good
I really don't get why some people complained about the dome shield nerf, it clearly is one of the best gadgets in the game even after all the nerfs it's gotten, borderline same level as the defib imo gas maybe could use a little bit of extra utility, live applying a debuff that reduces healing for a few seconds, it would give it a more prominent role while also increasing the use of it's counter (pyro grenade and flamethrower)
The pike is a pile of dog trash. I hate it so much. Every time I get on light I can shread everyone but that stupid medium camping on a roof with his pike that can 2 shot me it’s so broken and easy to use it’s so dumb. But great vid dude Edit: pike is balanced now lmao
3 shot* but yeah it’s pretty dumb I don’t like it. It was cool for the 1st week of it being brand new but it needs a solid nerf still, as well as model again
i was once underestimate the Thermal Vision, but it so much fun in casual that using it make cloaked light useless ! literally i have no idea how many time i feel like i was being reported by them xD,imo it's B/B+ at least, work great with gas, smoke grenade, just hiding yourself in there..
did i mention once you throw smoke and gas grenade together in the cash station, not even fire or the grey barrel can extinguish it ? watching enemy team fumbled and taking dmg in thermal vision is the funniest sh*t
Does thermal vision even work as its intended? Half the time i watch someone using it, other players arent even bright white. Is that supposed to happen? Cause it sounds counterintuitive.
It works up to a certain distance and at times can be inconsistent. For instance if a light cloaks while your thermal is active, the cloaked player will be invisible to thermal until they shoot. I feel thermal hasn't had much tuning since no one really uses it. I've been running m11, sonar, smokes and thermal and it actually can allow you to 1 v 3 teams quite easily or make for easy cashout steals
Pretty solid, you bring a lot of utility for your team and you got the essential parts down. Having a C4 swap might be helpful but if you play soloQ barricade might be better for your playstyle
Some opions. Pyronade is way more usefull since smoke is rarely used. it destroys go and gas and gives some area control especially on moving platforms. Defib can be S or D tier depending on the player, if one is teamate is almost done reviving me. Then the other imidiatly defibs wasting time, half my health and a defib for later. Defib without heal beam is risky cause it can decide if I get a second wind or straight up back to digital graveyard. Gravity cube can also be used as elevator for heavy since its gets harder to get highground with all that destruction.
Disagree, at a high level there’s literally zero reason to run it because there’s better/more efficient options. Maybe if the damage was higher but it’s not even a good area of denial option. It takes pretty much the entire burn duration just to kill a medium.
@ronin_fps I see it as utility, kill potentially sure it doesn't do the job, I'm not gonna lie to you; I'm not trying to lose a cash out just because a team decides to throw a gas on top of it.
Can anyone share the percentage of people playing different classes , What percentage of light vs medium vs heavy Share your data in comments just wanna see
Imo pyro granade is better then frag granade. It is more versatile, can be used in combo with the goo granade and goo gun and can be useful for holding a spot in the map.
I'd prefer if Thermal Vision was removed for evaluation, it ruins the competitive integrity despite it appearing as a bad gadget. It becomes a must pick when you are against a light using cloak, being able to consistently and effectively shut out a cloak user forcing them to hide is outright oppressive.
Sure hope medium gets a third gadget slot soon. Can't believe Embark only gave him 2 plus defibrillator.
there used to be 4 gadgets but one got removed
I would kick out of the match mediums without defibs, how dare they!?
i have defib, goo, frag. i wish i could have just one more but that would make the game a lot harder
@@savagecatdev using goo over jump pad or zip line is criminal

Hammer + goo nades is pretty deadly too. Most mediums will try to climb the goo but you can hit them through the goo
The thermal bore can also take down a crane one shot and it’s honestly so helpful especially if they’re running pikes and they’re being like that😭💀
about the thermal vision smoke combo it is so fun to be in plain sight of a full team and shooting at them not knowing what tha hell is going on
