    I have a few in the 2 carat range but my goal for collecting is a 5 carart and then a 10 carat gem. I love the story of tanzanite as well as its beauty. I was so thrilled when I got my first piece of Tanzanite.

    Funny, the other jewelry UA-camr said they still find lot of these stones in the mine. She posted her video about 10 mos ago. And yes, there is only one mine in the world but so far there is no shortage of the stones yet. I would say buy it if you love it. It is a beautiful stone. For jewelry investment, I would stick with metal, like gold. 18k-24k. Sorry if I have offended anyone.

      Gold and for the future silver also, I have to agree 💯the best investment.
      I love and prefer coloured gemstones, but straight gold, or the currently more affordable silver is the best investment.

    Thanks for the videos! I really learned so much from you guys, and I managed to snag a top color 8.3ct Tanzanite for just $1400! Tested by a gemologist. Your site lists similar stones for $5000+. Why so expensive? I would buy from you guys but the price is honestly way too steep.

    Those rough stones are HUGE …and amazingly beautiful!
    Do you ever facet “diesel” (raw / un-heat-treated) stones that are still trichroic? If so, which axis is best? Blue / purple / brown?
    I’ve got my wife a complete set now: 5.5 carat ring (pear shape in a diamond halo), 8.0 ctw drop earrings (semi-trillion/ pear shape), and 7.5 carat pendant.
    …so I’m thinking about something like an un-heated (but still beautiful) stone.
    I really like your 1000-point grading system. I’m just a retail consumer, but your “system” definitely makes sense to me and i agree with your ratings - they seem consistent and repeatable, if that makes sense. 👏🏼

      @Moregems  Рік тому +3

      Hi Bob! Thanks for the comment, I'm glad to hear you like our grading system. We do cut some natural trichroic gems, but they usually sell pretty quickly if they are beautiful. If they are just mediocre in the natural state, we will generally heat them. Keep an eye out here or during our live gem show streams, we'll usually release them there first. Otherwise, you can see our collection of unheated tanzanites here: www.tanzanitejewelrydesigns.com/collections/unheated-tanzanite
      We do currently have some amazing natural and unheated tanzanites available with a deep blue violet color (that came naturally from the earth) and fancy color tanzanite.

      I looked at the sold stones on your website - unbelievable! So beautiful! I know you cut most of those yourself (maybe all of them) - they’re spectacular in terms of proportions and the number of facets. You are apparently a perfectionist. 😉
      Okay, I’m going to have to save up for a number of months, but I’ll keep an eye on your page (and your UA-cam vids). God bless!

    Amazing. I collected 75 carats plus. The i recut it. Now it is 35.61 carats. Totally natural. No heat 😊❤😊

  • @krisushi1

    How are the prices of the Fancy Tanzanites comparing to the heated ones? I would very much love a natural gem, as I already have enough of the heated colour. Do you think they will rise in price equally over time or will one overtake the other? I quite like videos like this and the one that showed the magnetism of Garnet, although I've yet to experiment on mine. Hearing you talk about gems is always of interest to myself and would enjoy more content like these videos. Not that I'm ever planning on selling my lovely Tanzanite jewellery but will be happily wearing it for as long as I'm on this earth. It is such a beautiful gem!🇦🇺💖🕊

    • @AmandaBella100
      @AmandaBella100 Рік тому +2

      Virtually all tanzanite is heated. That’s what brings out the blue and purple color. Unheated tanzanite is brown or green. Naturally blue tanzanite has to have been exposed to a natural heat source within the earth. So even then, it’s still “heated.” Just naturally. And then, it’s virtually impossible to tell the difference between naturally heated, versus man-heated. There is no machine or lab that can tell difference. I would enjoy your tanzanite, and feel privileged that you own this beautiful gem

    • @krisushi1
      @krisushi1 Рік тому +1

      @@AmandaBella100 Yes, I'm quite grateful for the Tanzanite pieces I own. Actually, there are quite an array of fancy coloured Tanzanite that are not only brown nor green. These are the ones I have my eye on. There is a beautiful yellow colour, pure purple and one that many refer to as 'diesel'. It's usually this latter one that ends up being heated to look exactly like the rest. I'm one who likes something different. Could you imagine Diamonds if they only came as a white/clear colour? What a loss that would be to never experience the brilliance of the fancy colours. I simply feel the same with Tanzanite. I wear four rings, one on each finger of my left hand permanently. The one that receives the most interest is the most simplistic design I wear. That's because it contains two varieties of green Garnet, something that non-gem lovers aren't aware of. I love the fact that I have several pieces containing green gold, something that the Jeweller in my town had never seen in person before. As much as I love Diamonds, it's coloured gems that steal my heart, but I like the unusual which explains my love of the fancy coloured Tanzanite. Unfortunately, with the cost of living crisis, my jewellery intake has been much diminished and my longing for a Fancy Tanzanite will just have to wait. If you look on the website for this Jewellery Store who own this YT Channel, they may have some fancy coloured Tanzanite showing. They have shown some spectacular colours in their videos too and certainly know what they are speaking on when talking about this stunning gem. Their website shows a whole variety of gems and well worth taking a peek.💖

    Lab created is ruining this market. I own two very small stones. 2.75 carats and one just over 3 carats. But now the lab created stones have hit the market and I see tanzanite prices falling. And the only ones I see holding their valie are those that cone with a GIA cert.
    Shame really because they truly were one of the stones I fell on love with years ago.

    The fact that you're saying the quality has never been better in 45 years tells me that Tanzanite isn't in short supply or that they're running out. If they were running out of supply the quality would be going down in general.

    • @Moregems

      They would need to be gem quality material (very transparent with few inclusions) then you would either need to learn how to facet or find a lapidary who takes on outside cutting work.
