Harpsichord is one of my favourite instruments.In my opinion this charming music remind me of the beauty of another upload of harpsichord music found in YTM which I used to listen to at least once in a week- Six harpsichord sonatos of Campioni.An enchanting music created by a maestra which withstood the test of time! This is fabulous. The hemiola effect in the bass in the Tamourin is amazing. But I can't help wondering if the young gentleman in the drawing is missing his left leg, or whether it is badly drawn as tucked under him. Meanwhile it's good to see their book shelves are as untidy as mine. Back to the music :-)
Camilla de Rossi was there about half a century before. It would be great if you could upload some of her works. There are and were many talented Women composers!
She dies so young, mid thirties. I wonder what was going though her mind, when she wrote " 5. Variations on Lover, go and calm " , switching major and minor back and forth, turbulent at times.
