      🤣 Me too! UGH. What do I do? Do I start using them? It feels so odd to say them. I feel the same way when I try to jump on a trend like the "Latte Makeup" or the "Sugarplum Fairy". It's not my natural action to do that but I also want to grow my channel. HELP!😬

    Ohh that is a beautiful romantic soft look.
    I think if you juse bronzer, conture and juse the highlight in the palette then it's good and versatile, just like you said it is good if you are traveling.

      I used it to underpaint the other day under my Dior Face & Body Foundation and I loved it. I was invited to a girls Christmas brunch and I went. I normally don't attend those type of events. It was so nice to be around a bunch of nice women. I'm making a deal with myself that I'm going to do more of that in 2024. Something usually stands in my way but it's not going to this year.🤞🏻

    Hi Julie.
    I'm a new subscriber and I'm really enjoying your videos. Thank you!
    I am so happy you are using this face palette, as a more mature lady. I wanted to know if this would be good for my 57 year old normal to dry skin and what brushes would you recommend. I've actually bought these but wanted to see a demo from a more mature makeup artist. I am from Australia, where we can't get a lot of the brands that other countries can and drugstore is twice the price than it is in the USA. We can't get Seint or their brushes but we can get MUFE.
    Many thanks.
    Blessings and love. ❤

      Hi Sara! I'm so happy we found each other. We're the same in Canada. We don't have a lot of brands that have a Canadian website so we have to pay customs fees which makes it so expensive. I've order Color Pop and a few others without knowing until I receive it. It's so frustrating.
      BK Beauty sells in Australia. I just checked and they have beautiful brushes. I use them all the time and I have a discount code. JULIEM10 😃. I think if you click on this link, it will take you to the site and you should be able to change the country from there. If not, google BK Beauty AU and it will pop up. You can still you use my code.
      bit.ly/3kF8JHw
      I love the Angie Hot & Flashes brushes because they have sizes that are wonderful for women with mature eyes. The 101 and the 106 foundation brushes are so good. They're dense so you don't lose the product inside the bristles.
      BK Beauty brushes will last forever.
      Do you know how to wash your brushes? If not, let me know and I can help you.

    I’m glad you reviewed this palette! Been curious about it for a while now. How did you find it wore through the day?

    • @JulieMeikle
      @JulieMeikle 7 місяців тому +2

      Hi Vanessa, I've worn it twice now and would have worn it more if I weren't testing out different foundations. I honestly preferred it the second time when I used it for underpainting. I liked it both times but the second time was flawless.
      I contoured where I normally would and used the lightest colour where I wanted the brightness and then I used Dior Face & Body foundation over top with a damp beauty blender. Perfection!
      I don't normally use sponges but I treated myself to a beauty blender and chose to use it because I wanted to press the foundation onto my skin without disrupting the placement of my colour and highlight. The light coverage of the Face & Body allowed the palette colour to pop through in such a natural way. I wore it to a girls Christmas brunch and it lasted all day.
      I'm going to use it again on it's own, using the sponge. I feel like it's going to give me a better application. Not that the brush was bad but I did feel like I could get it to look better.
      I just realized that didn't answer your question.🤣 It wore nice but it wouldn't be my first choice to wear as a foundation on it's own from my first application experience. But that may change with a sponge.

    Good Morning Julie! lol I’ve noticed so many saying Game Changer; Phenomenal; and this has changed my life! I’ve unsubscribed to so many as it seems that everyone is just trying to sale you something in hopes that you will use their link. I do understand that this is their Job, but come one,let’s be honest, I’ve purchased so many Highly Recommended items only to be so so very disappointed and upset. I do realize that one product ( like mascara) may work for one and not the other, anyways, your complexion is so pretty and love the look using the HD makeup forever face palette. Would you recommend it for more mature, dry/ normal skin? Enjoy your Sons and your Fathers birthday. Thank you for being You !

    • @JulieMeikle
      @JulieMeikle 7 місяців тому +2

      Hi Karla, that is what I don't want my viewers to do. I don't want people spending money on products if it's not right for them. I did that too. I went through a phase where I had to have everything that was recommended from the videos I watched but I've become smarter.
      I'm offering online video consultations for that reason. I have women asking me what would work best for their skin and it's a hard question to answer when I don't know the person. The more information I have, the better the recommendation will be.
      Your skin is exactly like mine. I'm normal to dry. I wish I had used a beauty sponge with it to be honest. The day after I filmed this video, I used it for underpainting with my Dior Face & Body foundation over top and I used a sponge. I had a Christmas brunch to go to and I loved my makeup. I want to keep playing with it but to me, I liked the look better the second time and I believe it was hugely the sponge that made me like it more.
      What foundation are you using now?

No matter how many times I've cancelled on her or said I couldn't go, she keeps asking. Is it heavier on the skin than a liquid foundation ? I am so scared of cream foundation, tried once and it looked horrendous on my, maybe I got it all wrong and need to figure it out !! 😅

    • @JulieMeikle
      @JulieMeikle 7 місяців тому

      Hi Marie Josee, I didn't find it heavy at all. The second day I played with it, I underpainted with it and used a sponge with my Dior Face & Body foundation over top.
      If you're nervous about cream foundations, finish your application with a damp beauty blender or beauty sponge. The sponge will push it into the skin and remove excess product. I treated myself to a beauty blender during the sephora sale and I love it. I generally don't like using them because it's a tool that needs to be replaced. I like the idea of a brush because it's a one time purchase that last forever. I'll never stop using brushes but goodness, I liked the effect of the sponge.
      Also, take a look at my swatches. Not a ton of product came off my brush. The formula is light. Another cream stick foundation that's very light is Merit Beauty. You can't feel it on your skin.
      May I ask what your skin type is?

      @@JulieMeikle to color correct i have used some Mary Kay under eye concealer in a peach tone. Usually it left it too bright. So I tried the LA girl cream concealer in orange and peach. I’m a lighter beige so I have been doing a very light layer of each orange first then peach. But I still get a grey cast under the eye. The under eye area seems too dry I think. I’m totally new to color correcting. I use mostly Mary Kay products since I really like their skincare but they don’t have much as far as color correcting. I use a CC cream in light to medium for the rest of the face. Oh and I have dark circles on my eyelids. Very dark there.
