They need to stop with the idea that you can put any diamond on a watch that wasn't set by the manufacturer and somehow create value. This idea is patently false. Once you set aftermarket anything on a real watch, it's instantly only worth what the materials can go for at scrap. It's all cap. Jewellers will say differently because they don't want these rappers to know that they will never be able to sell that watch for even the value of the most battered, broken, and shit-on watch of the same model that is real. Many are waking up, it's mostly thanks to Nico, but watchmakers have been saying this since the 90's. It's nothing new in the watch world; it's just that rappers are finally getting exposed because they flex on social media. Rappers need to stop killing each other and go after their real OPPS, the jewellers.
add the value of the 5000 1.5 mm diamonds to the cost of the gold. As calculated earlier: - The lower estimate for the diamonds is $28,125. - The higher estimate for the diamonds is $56,250. Now, add these to the cost of the gold: - Lower estimate: $121,372 (gold) + $28,125 (diamonds) = $149,497 - Higher estimate: $121,372 (gold) + $56,250 (diamonds) = $177,622 So, the total estimated cost of the gold piece with 5000 1.5 mm diamonds would be between $149,497 and $177,622, depending on the quality of the diamonds. That’s not including craftsmen ship and labor

Thank you for the detailed video and for spreading awareness about this. Let me put y'all on some game. When you got the money you can buy you own diamonds cut or uncut. You can buy your own bars of gold pure. And take it to a trustworthy jeweler to get a custom piece. Then all you're paying for is the labor. These rappers and celebrities are impatient and don't wanna do the steps. They like taking the easy way out. And if the gold and diamonds are real then the jeweler can charge whatever they want. It's only when it's fake that they scammed the customer. But if everything is real and a customer is willing to pay for it. That's the customers fault.
My nephew owns & runs a family jewelry store. And we both laugh but get angry when any & all of these shops finesse they customers be they rappers or not cus it will make our industry look like slimy used car salesmen even new dealers try to scam u if u not up on game. If a person comes into our shop & wants an iced AP, we going to let em know the value of the watch will be less than half after u bought cus we drilling holes into a limited watch so we steer them towards getting all gold Cuban w/ diamond to highlight this way we giving em the best option, esp if they want for it to maintain value, gold is a commodity as are diamonds but ones w/a certain size, quality, visibility & cut. I could be wrong but I doubt it but as an investment 10k of 24k gold bar than a 10k diamond. We explain the ups & downs &we ultimately do what the customer wants. And the reason I do is cus integrity but not rly I came from the struggle asking every store if they needed the sidewalks swept, windows clean or they garbage taken out. I was 7-8 then go to pathmark on the weekends to bag groceries for a tip & this is how I paid for food for my bros & sis. So I know what it feels like to live your life in the struggle & get your first big bag & since u know no btr u assume it'll keep coming & u go into these fancy shops u front like u know but in reality you scared to admit it & know they can scam you.

Risha you commented on my ig in like 2021 now I be watching you everyday lmao you the goat fr
Videos like this be making me wanna be a scammer with morals😭
😂😂😂
25:54 “fortunately he fell off soon after” 😂😂Damn man 🤣
Anything that has Soulja boy attached to it, it will always be 100% a scam.
add the value of the 5000 1.5 mm diamonds to the cost of the gold.
As calculated earlier:
- The lower estimate for the diamonds is $28,125.
- The higher estimate for the diamonds is $56,250.
Now, add these to the cost of the gold:
- Lower estimate: $121,372 (gold) + $28,125 (diamonds) = $149,497
- Higher estimate: $121,372 (gold) + $56,250 (diamonds) = $177,622
So, the total estimated cost of the gold piece with 5000 1.5 mm diamonds would be between $149,497 and $177,622, depending on the quality of the diamonds. That’s not including craftsmen ship and labor
I heard about the 'Icebox/Young Thug' scam! Also, the Patek has factory baguette cut rubies, whereas Quavo has round brilliant cut. Nico, is Dutch, btw.
Nico sounds Dutch, but also sounds like he's from Northern Ireland. I'd guess he was born in Holland but has spent a fair bit of time in NI.
Thank you for the detailed video and for spreading awareness about this. Today's mainstream rap industry heavily prioritizes materialism and flashiness and incentivizes/rewards younger rappers (especially black rappers).
They lack the experience and sometimes the maturity to notice these scam attempts, making them the most lucrative targets for scammers.
GUAVA. Here til the end. Good content young brother.
I put this video on when i first got to work this morning, so i definitely stayed until the end. Great content, put together well, thank you for keeping me company and entertained for 2 hours while i am slaving today.
90% of todays rappers jewelry is fake their diamonds are Fugazy
Jacob the jeweler is named in one of the diddy/diddy son’s lawsuits as a creep
Let me put y'all on some game. When you got the money you can buy you own diamonds cut or uncut. You can buy your own bars of gold pure. And take it to a trustworthy jeweler to get a custom piece. Then all you're paying for is the labor. These rappers and celebrities are impatient and don't wanna do the steps. They like taking the easy way out. And if the gold and diamonds are real then the jeweler can charge whatever they want. It's only when it's fake that they scammed the customer. But if everything is real and a customer is willing to pay for it. That's the customers fault.
Nico is the Gordon Ramsey of counterfeit watches. "The RUBIES." is his "IT'S RAW."
Raheem Da Jeweler sold RicK Ross that piece that has his face on it.
That Ace Hood situation was crazy and shout out to Bow Wow for trying to hold it down and the Camera Man........If Ace Hood didn't keep looking down he would've got away with it......Because once the joint fell the Camera Man held the Camera up.........But Ace kept looking down

Stayed to the end! Absolutely love your videos! For a lover of old hiphop and very selective of new stuff, I appreciate you being like the reporter on all hiphop topics. Appreciate you bro, much love!
Ngl the original prices of the watches still decently expensive the watch reviewer guy make it seem like 10k ain’t shi 😂😂
Great content. I love long videos like this. We need more.
Thanks for the hard work
Bro posted the best video essay on hiphop jewlery
saw it to the end , good editing and storytelling . when youre a good talker, the video is easier to crusie through
You don't play games with your content my bro.. documentarys on every drop your work rate is crazy... Also just wanted to add the face cam is a welcome addition my guy ignore the haters saying otherwise
Normally, I watch your content when I'm getting ready, and I really love your content. But im sitting here watching and seeing your face with the voice I hear after a long day of work. Not to be corny, but you're quite attractive too! But besides that, I really love your content. Thank you for your hard work and the content you put out.
I love Nico, he gives you so much information so you understand exactly how fake the watch is, which is crazy if the person actually paid that much for the watch.

Every time I see a celebrity holding a bunch of money......no matter WHO it is....I always think...."that prop money looks good"..........😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Its easy because the culture values flashy, materialistic things while also rewarding the youngest artists.
So you jave these naive artists with a lot of money trying to get famcy stuffwhithout having much worldy lnowledge that comes with age/experience and that makes you a perfect msrk for these dudes. Deplorable
Those diamonds cursed those rappers in a very real way
Lab diamonds are absolutely real diamonds, thats just blatant misinformation.
Lab diamonds are going down in value rN
Real diamonds can't b replicated they hold their value 💯
They started making lab diamonds to make them affordable but most places wax same as real diamonds LOL
Ain't nothing like the REAL THING
❤
@WARS187 lab diamonds are real diamonds.
All diamonds are going down in value. Diamonds aren't rare or valuable, regardless of where they are from or how they are created.
Lab diamonds are the real thing lol.
But go ahead and fall for jewelry industry scam nonsense all you want lol.
Whr are they getting all the so called real diamonds 🤔
@@DVNGXRwhy
take the jewelry $ and put it back into the hood, a damn rec center, warehouse for jobs…. even a damn swing set……this excess is a sign of insecurity and a need for attention from peers due to feelings of inadequate
Yes
Watched it all 🔥🔥
Crazy. Used to def hear that about icebox, they was giving away jewelry to rappers to build clout and then doubled back asking for money for it
I think nico is from Ireland
He sounds Northern Irish/Dutch to me. His accent is mixed up.
1:53:00 "I left my chains at the hotel cause i hate jewelry, i just wear it so i can participate in the foolery" -juice wrld

There's a hilarious amount of footage of Yachty eating in this vid
Trax, Jacob & co, Johnny Dang and the like dont gaf about you at the end of the day they used the culture as a springboard to their success fuck them vultures they dont even like us like that
Gucci ,Prada, Fendi, Louie and most don't want us in them clothes. The culture be making every one else rich except they own people. 🤡
@4:28 lil baby scooping the stuff up😂🎉 i be the same way beting around the board 😅
Did dude just call money bag yo a mumble rapper. 😮These people are so disrespectful. MBY has Neva been a mumble rapper. He may be country but he raps clearly
They don't give diamonds to rappers or blks to say something, and it's more disrespectful then we know
I really wanted to watch this whole thing but it's too many f****** commercials
24:27 i remember that it was second hand embarrassment, BET always been messy and they was messy af for zooming in they could’ve just acted like that never happened. That’s why no one in the culture respect that Network they always shady toward their own for laughs
That's why their going down the toilet.
"Only pray on African American rappers" well rappers are the only ones spending fortunes on stupid ass ginormous chains watches and rings like that so who else is he supposed to sell to? Wall Street dudes don't get blinged out huge custom blunt & handcuff chains lol. It's not racism it's that those are the only people that spend that much money in stupid shit like that
Best jewelry is pure gold 24k. Only thing is its soft so its not ideal to have diamonds etc.. alot of these chains celebrities have are probably 14k or 18k gold
CORRECTION: The 1st Jesus Piece in Hop-Hop was NOT BIG, it was Ghostface

I remember watching the Ace Hood watch thing live. That was the end of his career right there.
I get your reporting on our culture but I don’t condone your first topic on young thug by saying “free thug” because you probably heard that saying somewhere, YT doesn’t need to be let back into the community if he’s guilty of mvder1ng people. I understand he’ll most likely ever be in your community but think before you speak young man people lost their family members in real life. However let the trial run and if he’s innocent ok but….
@15:52 why would Nico be seething with British rage? He’s Dutch and moved to Northern Ireland.
Exactly 🤣🤣 ironic considering this video is all about being factual
Edit: sorry I forgot quotations: "factual"
That was hella entertaining...good job bro👌🏻💯
Wearing fake jewelry is the smartest thing you can do lol
Just a small fact Nico Leonard is Dutch living in England
He didnt say those watches were fake on the 6ix 9ine video he said he was ruining the value hanging them on a chain my dude.
Knew that herb 69 from back in the day, when everyone would bounce him off the supreme line, and make him beg and tax him to allow him to get back on the back of the line lol 17:31
Maybe the “Prince of Doobye” is fake too😂 My Love!😅
I've just listened to 3 of your vids in the past, but glad I actually watched this video.
I learned a lot and will subscribe to your channel as a result of it.
Thank you for telling us about these SCAMS, I mean INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES. 🤣
Jewelry is a weird area. It's comparable to art. If I take 8 hours to paint a painting and spent $30 on materials people could say it's only worth $150 and the fact that I charge $200 is a scam. But then they find out Banksy did it and it's now worth $10,000.
Fake it. Until you make it. Then it breaks you.
Its crazy because no one would ever blame the jeweler for this.
The state of Philadelphia (42:30 around there) ? I’m all for it, petition !
Notice how the jewelry is NEVER bought through the actual brand 😂
