Kelly and other artist like her don’t have the recognition that they should have, but let me tell you this, Kelly is one of the few artists that can sound exactly the same singing live and singing on a record and that for me that says more than just winning awards. I don't understand why she doesn't get more recognition from the industry. She's a million times better than some of the ones who everyone goes ga ga over. If you didn't feel it then you need to check your pulse. Such a masterpiece album. I can't wait to hear it all & have all the feelings. The handoff of the melody from Kelly to Jessi at the end was flawless! I’m going to venture to say that Kelly’s a better artist and vocalist now than she even was 5 years ago, in part because of Jessi and HER talent and influence. As an observer, it seems to me they’re a great example of two women who have different roles and who do those roles really well, at the same time as supporting and building up the other person in their immense talent. Kelly and Jessi are quickly becoming one of my favourite “duos”.
Her vocals at the Belasco show are seriously the best I've ever heard her sing...ever. And that's saying something. Can't wait to see her live in August.

Lighthouse was the last song she sang with the strings that’s why you can hear her say “Give up for the strings everybody” Yes, she was really emotional during the strings segment but the only time she had to restart was during Skip This Part 🤷🏽♂️

This song will NEVER be matched by anything, and there will NEVER be ANYONE like Kelly Clarkson! This song is so emotional, speaks to so many people, and can resonate with people on so many levels. It's so wild how people think Kelly isn't all that because she doesn't have as much recognition or as many awards as other artist, but this girl is just out here singing about something that's important to her. She's out singing about something that's important to her as well as so many other people!

And the way Jessi came in and sang the second “crashing into me” at about 3:59. I had to rewind it because Kelly was doing ad libs there but it also sounded like she was still singing the words. Her background singers are so good!

Ok I’m watching this for… let’s say the 600th time. One thing that sticks out the most aside from the INSANE live vocals and emotions they took me through, aside from her being the most successful idol winner and the OG idol winner, she still takes the time to acknowledge and thank her band and string section. They’re all just as much a part of the performance as she is and she thanks them. THAT is how a true performer makes it. Humble, thankful, and graceful.

Married for over 7 years, together for almost 10 and right now I'm not sure how to keep going. Love this song, it definitely brings some emotions out ❤

She has been around now over 20 years since she won AI. She is only getting better with age. She seems to be very humble and grounded. That’s why people like her besides that amazing voice.
Kelly has always been a great singer IMO. Not everybody's favorite style of music or their favorite type of voice. As the years have passed though she's also shown a real talent for songwriting. AI was a nightmare for creative freedom. They did get less restrictive as the years went on and their own popularity fell but Kelly was saddled with one of the LONGEST exclusivity deals. AI/RCA pretty much OWNED her for 15+ years! I've heard her tell stories (and I believe what she says almost 100% of the time because she really SUCKS at secrets!) 😝 It sounds like she received the "SHUT UP AND SING!" reaction like Laura Ingraham told LeBron James to "SHUT UP AND DRIBBLE!". It's sad that "Chemistry" will likely not get the credit it deserves for that very reason.

I love Kelly's voice. But her lyrics are kind of elementary, bordering on juvenile. She sounds better than ever - but this album was a mistake. I predict it will be her least successful. Her fanbase is not teen girls - but these songs are pretty much at that level. Kelly has no sense of irony or personal darkness. As a lyricist, she's no Joni Mitchell, Alanis Morissette or Taylor Swift. Remember that Kelly does NOT write the music. Some of the melodies are okay - but there is not a surefire song released from Chemistry - yet.
A revenge album from a 42 year old woman who rhymes every line is not a good look.
Good news is that Kelly sings a lot of better songs too.

@@the_love_monkey I would love for Kelly to have a huge success. She won't with this album. Ariana Grande, Olivia Rodrigo, Carly Rae Jepsen nor KESHA would never release these baby emotion songs. Kelly is a better singer than Adele - this is what she's going for. A thematic Adele like album. Adele is not the best songwriter either - but her songs are not all about feeling sorry for herself and she doesn't make them all anthemic.
Kelly made a stubborn & tacky decision with this album. Her vocals are always praised. She's the best damn singer in the game. But when the album is listened to from front to back - it's kind of pitiful. Chemistry ain't LEMONADE!!
Kelly hates Carrie Underwood but she would be wise to sing country/pop ballads and bangers like Carrie records. Clarkson has access to songwriters, but not Carrie's. Ha.
Clarkson's fault is thinking that she is an indie artist or one of the R&B greats. She CAN sing anything - but her voice and personality are best suited to well crafted songs. That means other people write them....
@@TombCat I don't think k Adele's albu. "30" did that great either but in her case it was the "sad and jilted" albums that did best for her. Kind of the same with Taylor. It's kind of a running joke with not passing off Taylor and she's always been able to make it work to her advantage. I don't really remember which album was her last REAL huge success but I know it's been awhile. I've heard her say "My December" was one of her favorites but I can't say I really remember any huge hits on that one either compared to others. I don't think "Meaning Of Life" was a super big success for her either although personally I liked many of those songs. Maybe u have to be a superfan to like some of the newer stuff. I don't know why "Chemistry" wouldn't be able to ride a similar wave as did Taylor or Adele's "jilted ex" efforts. Like I said....when Adele lost weight and tried the "30" vibe it didn't do as well as her earlier 21 or 25 albums did when she was less thin and less happy. Maybe Kelly gets the opposite and her music does better when she isn't miserable?? I know she has said that this album is "about both the good and the bad" of a relationship but ya gotta admit that once we've heard so far it's definitely more about the BAD! Maybe it's a personality thing? Its not like "Because of U" is a cheerful little tune either but that one did OK while "I don't think about you" is also a bummer but while I like it a lot...I don't think it charted very high. I've been questioning the decision to go with this "rapid-fire release" thing tho. It seems like so many songs are ready out there but the album hasn't even come out yet! Is that a new thing? I've always thought a more measured release schedule is the way to go?? Maybe that's how things work now I'm not sure? I've seen the top 6 or 7 iTunes slots ALL taken by BTS! Then again Kelly's fan base is a far different audience than BTS! I'm not sure. She seems to be turning into more of an underrated artist than a hit generater so....that's kind of a U-turn. Oh well....I wish her the best & hope that if it's NOT a huge success she doesn't decide to say screw it....it's better to concentrate on her talk show. Kellyoke is great but ...it would be a shame if that's all we got.

I’m sitting on the couch with my dogs next to me, listening to this with my earbuds in. I’ve been listening to the studio version which gets me teary eyed because of how well she vocally knocked it out of the park. I turn this on and it has more grit, more raw, her voice is a little more aggressive at times and now I’m full on sobbing. So thanks for that. 😂
