We shall see, apparently by law it's the owners responsibility to make sure the speedo is functioning correctly.. Like how are you supposed to check it exactly? I wonder if the judge knows how to check theirs 😂🙈

Get a note from dealers confirming the fault, that they recalibrated and that you took action to get it sorted as soon as you realised there was a problem. I am aware that the police where I am will accept a genuine reason so long as there’s proof. If you nowt it can only go badly, if you can show em proof there’s still a chance it could go badly but there’s a bigger chance they will give you the benefit of the doubt and at worst book you for one offence (possibly even with a speed awareness course) . Each police authority makes their own decisions in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, not always the same result. Best of luck with it
Thanks David, the vans been returned to the dealers for a certificate of confirmation and repair for the speedo aswell as the dpf. I'm hoping that since I've only just bought the van and caught the issues right away they'll be lenient with me all being well just depends who is dishing out the punishments and what mood they're in I guess 🙈😂 fingers crossed 🤞
Gutted for you mate, comes to something when a f**ked DPF is lowest on your list of problems, if I remember rightly I'm sure if you can prove you need you driving license for work they just add more points on 👍
I know absolutely no luck at the moment.. Pc, pulled for plates, hard to find a van, van dpf, 10 days for 24 hour delivery on part to build and now this 🙈 as long as I don't get banned Im not too bothered what a can of worms 😂😂
