Great video Roy! Thank you for your purchases and the review of my store. I'm a prospector based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, and those gold nuggets are the result of my hard work. ⛏️ Looking ahead, stay tuned for an exciting array of more opalised fossils, rubs and stones on my store in the upcoming months. We're thrilled with the progress of the Opal Empire app. Whitney
Ah you hunt those little nuggets yourself? I haven't used my metal detector much yet but I aim for objects at the beach. Opalised fossils are my go to so I'll be watching like a hawk for some more good ones.
G’day Roy, on that tooth fossil, I was told a way to tell if it might be a tooth, it’ll have a core in the middle, unlike belemnites, and from what I could see of the broken tip on that one, there appears to be a core. 🤪👍
Those prices are so tempting. I need to win the lottery. Until then I'm just going to have to try not to get too much drool on my tablet. Hope you get to feeling better.
Yeah I could have spent $100k but then the house build would be back to just a dream! Just a cough that wont go away for a few months. Get it almost every 2 years.
I noticed that while editing but I think the browser I used darkened everything for some reason? Never happened before so not sure what the latest update has done. Seemed fine when I was browsing. Might be the recording software update.
When I was a kid I used to obsessively gold pan in Ballarat (Sovereign Hill) when ever I visited in the school holidays. Work all day for a nice tiny jar of the smallest specks of gold you've ever seen 😂 Soo much fun though.
@@RoysRocks the gold in the UK belongs to the Crown, only a few estates you can actually pan for gold with a permit in Scotland. Gold fever just as bad as opal fever.
@@scottishwifie14 Technically there are rules like that here in Aus as well but I think it only counts large finds and full on deposits. Permits only in certain places or if you are using anything more than a pan.
Great video tour, thanks Roy! Sadly I can't get the website to load here in the UK, even using a Oz VPN/proxy server. Hate to think what i'm missing out on! Anyone else having problems with the site?
I'm new the world of opal (only been at it 2+ years ) has gold nugget fascination and opal fascination always gone hand and hand? I thought it might have been because outback opal hunters, and the gold rush show are on the same channel. Me, I have zero interest in gold. But to each their own
Are you familiar with investmentopals on opal auctions? I love sorting the price highest to lowest and looking at the top priced boulder. Unreal stones
Yeah I frequent investmentopals and opal auctions a lot. I use it for valuing stones, browsing and dreaming. There are some incredible stones there when you sort price high to low.
Not sure why the screen edited dark. I couldn't work it out while editing. Think the recording software update has caused some issue.

Who doesn't like boulder opal?!!!!!!! Great video on the rubs. Thanks Roy. 😊
No worries Nancy. You know me I had to get some of the boulder opals last night while editing the video.

Great video Roy!!👍😎👻🌶️
No worries Bhutjolokia 🤘
Great video! I’ve been buying from Julian for about a year now and am never disappointed. He has such beautiful material at really reasonable prices.
He does get people some great value.
He is a good example of a great middleman for us online to link with some great SA miners.

Yeah I had a run through at the sa museum that also said that so it's certainly something to look for.
Really great video today.
Thanks Mike, Bit of a recording mishap on this one which I need to work out what happened...
I love love Boulder✌❤
Well unfortunately I did but a few of them so there is less on the site now.
@@RoysRocks the site is not working on my phone. Need to get on my computer. Can't wait to see what you bought.✌❤❤

I hope it's possible to brighten the screen a little? I struggle to see the opals properly, as it looks like the whole page except you is in shadow.

It’s funny I went goldpanning in Scotland before I started opal cutting. I sometimes buy bags of paydirt to pan at home as well.

Cheeeeeehooooo! Fossils!!!!!!!!
Can never get bored of looking at fossils and apparently there are many more to be listed.

Oh strange... There are a LOT of bugs but I'm letting Jullian know about them and they have worked out heaps of them so far.
I'll add it to the list.
Website should be working fine today, It was offline yesterday while they were doing some work on it.
All good now, thanks @@whitney_opal
Roy, the link to the opalempire website is admin login. Can we get a link to get to the website itself. Thanks
Admin log in? It is just opalempire.com.au/
Its a shame the WWW site is not secure, once that's sorted I will have a look
Why not secure? It is https so fairly secure.

I think it does though not really for me. Guess both are precious natural creations?
Didn't know there was an outback gold hunters show?
@@RoysRocks I see suggested videos for it all the time. Discovery evidently produces both

Unfortunately the website/app only has over priced items…… I’ve watched it every week since you mentioned it a few months ago.
There are a lot of great value stones on there at this very moment?
Just ignore the investment grade ones priced not to sell.
