Greetings from East Texas! Good to see you are still at it . We have been on our place two years next month and we still have no goats yet either. We finished fencing off the place last fall though. This spring I have to get the exterior of our old home back in shape ,not to mention the garden ,which we are expanding again. I like your ideas about making a profit from your place . The idea for a rabbit tractor may or may not be marketable ,but rabbit manure is going for about $ 4.00 a pound on line these days. Selling starter plants like you mentioned in the barn find vid sounds real feasible too. Keep us posted !

Love your ideas. I am also planning on getting goats & chickens in the next couple of years. My mom raised them and did quite well. She had toggenberg and neubiens goats which produced good milk and tasted very good. Her chickens were very productive too with eggs. We have a homestead in Florida so our seasons are different than yours and our predators are different but my advice is to have a good "fence" and get at least 1 (preferably 2 or 3) work dogs. They arent pets, they live with and protect their flock (goats & chickens). Both goats and chickens need to have a dry and warm place to sleep. Dry. Food must be kept dry too, no mold. The dogs will chase away predators and rodents that might go after the food. Im really looking forward to seeing your progress on your homestead. 👍

I thought meat rabbits could be done cheaper & easier than meat chickens. But tractors are tractors so you could use them for either one. We always used hutches but then we had to provide all the food. Sounds like you guys have a busy year ahead! Can't wait to follow along 😊
