I think there could have been a few corrective breaks to make this young bull terrier ease up a bit especially when the cat’s claws caught the dog’s face. Yes, each will learn from interacting with each other but it needs time and helpful corrective monitoring.
The whole helpful corrective monitoring or micromanaging your pets playtime shows me you don't trust animals who aren't human . The bull Terrier was just being playful as was the cat but you have seen something from the eyes of a person with hands with opposable thumbs. Think about it.

I have a bull terrier and cats, Bullet is sweet to them but the cats get jealous of him. Since we got this Bull terrier he has become the center of our life’s, we love 💕 him so much! Everyone loves him he is so comical and funny. I got tired of seeing the scars on his nose and near his little beady eyes. So I kicked the cats out. I used to breed Persian cats. We have two regular domestic cats now left on door step. Personality Persians have a better temperament to live in doors with such a energetic dog.
Lmfao!! Reminds me of my EBT boy Stitch, I has a wild siemese cat show up on day and he did this for 30 mins at a time then came to me hour later with big scratch on his nose..😂,happened Atleast 40 times
