In this episode, I share with you my insane experience reviewing this immaculate Mitsubishi EVO 6 Tommi Makinen. This car is as clean as cars can come, with only 40,000kms on the clock and in factory stock condition, this car literally looks like it has just rolled off the showroom floor. Behind the wheel is yet again another epic experience, you really have to watch this video understand just how AMAZING this EVO really is.

lol Alan from Mercedes, what a nice guy, he sold me my evo 5 and I had it for almost 8 years now. Btw this evo 6.5 is for sale in the right price if anyone is interested.

We own two tommi makinens , Silver and black , Black is in Prestine condition the silver is in great condition on the outside, Underneath has had some work done for rust but other than that its perfect 🙂 both uk Tommi

This is a very iconic car, up there with the best of the best of homologation specials. I drove one once and it was very impressive indeed. The grip, the feel through the chassis and steering wheel was on another level. The way the boost comes on with the short gearing was very addictive. I could never afford one. Prices now are too high, good ones in red are too rare to be a realistic proposition or everyday driver. I would rather a Makinen than anything of the modern equivalents.
What an absolutely beautiful car the engineers that developed this were on another lever for there time ❤️
I remember this car as a kid. Only 2500 made worldwide. No wonder nobody had them. Shame they would of sold heaps if they mass produced them.

Mitsubishi/Ralliart were alway a joy and the spirit of Mitsubishi. Hopefully they will start bringing these back. Your video shows the joy of owning these cars. Don't be fooled by cheap imitations = Mitsubishi turbos are the real deal.

Great video. I’d compare it to the 22b before I’d compare it to the Porsche though. Just my opinion. Not that it matters.
Yep considering the Porsche 996tt ran low 4s to 100 it seems an odd comparison. 22b however now there's a contest
TG Racing exactly my thoughts. I got smoked by a 996 turbo in my M3. It was a manual turbo and the guy was talking on the cell phone while racing me with a manual transmission. His gear shifts took a while lol but my point is he still beat me.

These 6.5 TME Evos are very very Rare and are worth 6 digits (USD). But its bkuz they are very Rare vehicles & are becoming even more Rare now. They are beautiful. And this one is absolutely incredibly clean with Very Low KM's.
Considering a stock VW Golf R does 0-100 in under 5secs, this EVO is pretty damn fast for its time. 🎌🇯🇵👍
For its time and for now if you consider its components, gear ratios, its "real" 4wd and power to weight ratio. It's a weapon🤣

The only think i dont like is that you didnt include the spec screen with insane close ration gearbox, 1250kg of 4x4 and the iconic engine that is easyly pushed above 500hp

Love the twin fog light option on the tme bumper. I've been trying to source one for ages but could only manage to get the single vent option :(
The value of tommi mak cars is skyrocketing. I won't get the chance to get behind the wheel of one. But I consider myself greatful to be able to own a normal evo 6 gsr. Even in stock form these cars are loads of fun

I love driving my Vi6 GSR light fast nimble eats twisty roads.
sorry but there is no rear wheel bias on evos. All power goes from the trans through a center diff. Where it is divided 50:50 between front and back. It's the same concept as subaru, only the engine is transverse which allows a shorter front clip.

Too bad liking these cars is considered "taboo" by fast car enthusiasts here in Australia a.k.a a country where you suck if your biggest priorities aren't "where the car was made and which car has the biggest engine"
Clay Wong is wrong about the trim. He said it's a GSR but it isn't. It is an RS 2 trim, a stripped-down version of the Evo
It is a GSR my man, as even stated by the owner Alan!
@@ClayWong I think that it is a GSR because the RS-2 version does not have the climate control (only the manual controlled air-con). I had for 17 years a black LHD TME RS-2 . In Continental Europe we only got RS-2 (and the much sougth after RS version) not the GSR. I ignore if there are other differences , possibly as on the Evo 6 (non TME): turbo type, and rack/pinion ratio. The AYC is on both version (GSR and RS-2) and not of course on the stripped down RS....

In Australia RS Model it is not allow to import to the country, hopefully in the future. RS is more rare, but I never seen a RS model TME in the passion red.
The RS2 has the aerial on the A pillar and no rear window wiper. This is a GSR.

Makes me laugh. These TME editions are basically shocks and a bit of interior trim but are "better" than any other 🤣 behave. Like sticking a brand name on a T-shirt and asking 4 times as much for it. Evo 9 is a far better car yet these are £££... Weird world.
