    great physical progression, but he still needs a mental coach. He started the 1st day with a lot of apprehension which most likely hindered him throughout. End of 1st day and he is down mentally, best expressed by his "middle of the pack racer for the rest of my life" statement. His recovery on 2nd day is to be commended, however all the damage was done on 1st day.

    He looks like such a good rider and has such a great opportunity, not sure if he just dosent show his appreciation/optimism or dosent have it. Next pro intervention, sports psychologist?

    • @TNW84
      @TNW84 6 років тому +35

      calvinjones Seems to me to be a common British trait. Not that he's not appreciative, he's just not an extrovert. Dry can be interpreted as rude. I'm sure the off-camera moments tell the real story. Racing is intense so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt here.

    • @samrowland2816
      @samrowland2816 6 років тому +11

      As an Englishman I'll agree with the other commenter that we can come across that way, we tend not to go in for all the whoopin an hollerin, and when we do, it's kinda weird, i.e. Sam Pilgrim. Also though, I'll 100% agree with you Calvin that a sports psychologist is needed, he's psyching himself out of these races every time. Also he doesn't seem to be getting any coaching at all, surely a Pro rider would be?

      I think Yoann Barelli will be a good influence for him, great rider with a great personality.
      I hope Adam improves on this aspect since it seems like the only one dragging him back.

    • @calvinjonesyoutube
      @calvinjonesyoutube 6 років тому +10

      Hi Laura, thanks for your response, and the extra info. I`m sorry if you felt my comment was too critical. I think everyone on here wishes him well. it was just an observation about him appearing to limit his own true potential. Here's to the inevitable improvement that hard work will pay off. Mainly i want to say neither you or Adam should concern yourselves with what an outsider such as myself with limited information thinks. With that said, my humble hope is that Adam treats any help he gets as a boost that makes greater success with his bike even more likely, not as a pressure to live up to. Anyway, all the best to both of you.

    Pinkbike, for the next season of the privateer you should try calling Ted Jaramillo! He’s an awesome kid (19 right now) with a lot of talent. He is racing pro right now, in the big mountain enduro. He is one of the nicest most genuine people I know, and would really fit well in this story line. It could be about him switching to racing bigger races in the world enduro circuit.

    its weird when he surrounds your head huh.does that to me when i ride what i can its like having a vortex and a jet cabin with a window open around your head.i noticed the shock was to loose for the terrain and the second required loosening again.i couldnt do that on my best day i dont think,but i wish i could.apparently they wont let me own one because i might kill myself and blow everybody up but i road ridges on a kawasaki 250 hitting burms and didnt have any issues lol.
