    I have the Infimech TX and I love it!!! It's as close as you can get to print and walk away. I have had a few issues with filament getting stuck in the extruder. I think it was my fault by not adjusting the drive wheel spring loaded screw. I highly recommend it!!!

    I'd like to suggest beginning to add a section discussing the included profiles. These days the software is just as important as the hardware and anybody new getting into 3D printing really shouldn't have to learn how to create profiles anymore. Prusa and BL have proven that. Any company that isn't including tightly integrated profiles for at least common material types is falling behind and it's definitely something that's worth discussing.

    • @tjlqk3
      @tjlqk3 2 місяці тому +4

      This is an extremely good idea. For a beginner, a bad or generic profile will ruin the experience. That's where Prusa really did well with their mk2-3 printers.

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC 2 місяці тому +3

      @@tjlqk3 Yeah as far as I'm concerned a video that doesn't include a detailed review of the software and profiles included is only half a review and does not give enough information for people to make it informed decision. It also gives these companies a pass to continue not creating a complete product.

    • @Knutahh
      @Knutahh 2 місяці тому +2

      @@DoRC Idk, I feel like you need to be able to tinker if the machine is running stock klipper. I don't think every 3d printer needs to be a bambulab appliance that is tied to an ecosystem like that. Fiddling a little bit with printing profiles is the very minimum of effort imo.

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC 2 місяці тому +4

      @@Knutahh having profiles that work out of the box doesn't mean you can't fiddle with profiles. You can just ignore them and make your own if that's what you really want to do. The thing is that these days you just don't have to anymore. Modern BL and prusa printers just work. I've been in the hobby for over 6 years now and since I got my P1P the only things I've had to change in any profile have been flow rate pressure advance and temperature and the only failures I've had in about a thousand hours of printing on it have been things that were specifically my fault such as choosing the wrong filament or something like that.
      Now I'm not saying that every printer must have good profiles included but I think not including a discussion about the software and profiles is ignoring half the review

    • @felixyasnopolski8571
      @felixyasnopolski8571 2 місяці тому

      It really depends on the printer. E.g. I have 2 printers, one is BLV MGN Cube which was bought for 300 eur (I think it's a really good price for a decent CoreXY printer), yes I put some money to upgrades (basically I retrofitted Voron Trident's A/B drives, X gantry and Stealthburner), but from the beginning I used Voron's profiles and it printed good). Second printer was some el cheapo Anet A8 clone(!), and I used the Prusa i3 profile with some tweaks for the speed.
      And second thing is: no matter whether you just making your first steps in 3D printing or you're already a pro -- you'll make your own profiles for the filament. The only option to avoid it - to buy proprietary filament for the proprietary printer. And any Slic3r-derived slicer nowadays gives multiple options for the filament calibration, so it takes less than hour to dial the profile for the exact spool of the filament. Even my uncle who use that Anet A8 clone could do it, why other's cant?

    With the 220x220 build size, I would have compared this machine to the Creality K1 and not the x1c or p1s. For the price difference after the upgraded cooling, I believe the K1 would be the better buy but unfortunately, it was not compared. Also, it would be great to add more information on the nozzle types during the reviews as they can be a pain to find replacements for some machines. Great job as always! The missing 80mm o the X and Y would really affect my printing because some of my prototypes must be single piece solutions that can't be split for a smaller bed.

    Great Job.. Great option also... I think your channel really makes these manufacturers work harder at their products.
    I think you may need to add a few new print challenges incase they tweak their printers to pass your test. Maybe also you can add one simple destruction test to see if the print adhesion is better or worse. And now that you have such a huge list of printers you can TELL the manufacturers to update their firmware and pay you a fee to retest their printers so people can know if there are improvements or if they need to switch printers.
    You can now be Aurora Standards Association (ASA) Where quality standards are set.

    From an engineering perspective that top fabric "hat" is a genius way to cut cost. Usually you have a large plastic cover that would take up a bunch of room for shipping, and take quite a large expensive mold to make. And since the printer is used with the top off a lot for printing most materials, the user can just fold it up and store it instead of a giant plastic cover. Hats off to you. Pun intended.

For example, if that 1st layer sheet has a wavy pattern like a washboard road, is it repeatable across prints? If so, couldn't it be corrected for using a few "alignment" prints to find the average of the ripples?

    I much prefer loading firmware from SD card. I do not like having to connect my printer to the internet, so I'm glad to see that option. I like to have all my 3D printers on a separate network that is not able to access the internet, so Bambu printers are a hard no for me.

    I know its not related to this video but id like to ask if the Ender V3 KE video is going to come out soon, im debating if i should get the KE or the A1 mini.
    The price on them is the same, the build volume is bigger on KE so im leaning towards it, wondering if the KE can have comparable quality as A1 mini with some tuning?

    I feel like that tolerance test just tests how much the printer underextrudes.

    • @TheRealClutch1010
      @TheRealClutch1010 2 місяці тому +1

      I was wondering this as well. I wonder how you test for underextrusion as well as poor tolerances. I think Maker's Muse did this with a ring that shouldn't come off the print but would only come loose with some tolerance level.

      A lot of the resin printer test prints will have a set of cones that are expected to print properly and a set of cones that are expected to barely not print properly. Based on how many extra or how few printed, you can come up with a good next guess for a second pass at calibrating your resin. Something equivalent would be nice here, although just running the regular Orca extrusion rate calibration prints before doing the fitment test would be nice.
