Ronaldinho revolutionised football. It was unbelievable to see him doing skills and tricks against professionals at the highest level which are otherwise only used in street football. And he was not only doing these against professionals, but against some of the greatest defenders of that era. It's very rare to see a player like ronaldinho, who used such skills to effectively decide games. The only other player like him at the highest level is Neymar. And no, Ronaldinho rarely trained, he was famous for partying and skipping training sessions. In terms of talent, He is probably in top 3, but due to his short peak, it is realistic to put him in top 20 or 25 of all time, which is again a ridiculous feat considering how little he trained. (Also, football is a sport with a long history and has too many legends, so it's hard to definitively say where each legend ranks, it's highly subjective). He also mentored Messi in his early years.
Perfect commentary, in his prime he did what few players in the history of football have done, too bad it didn't last long.

He had a huge impact when he was playing for Barcelona, his footwork skills, vision on the ball and love for the sport made him top tier in his era, he was pure magic. Funny fact is he never trained as hard as he should have and despite that he was naturally gifted and was always having fun playing football. Just imagine what he could of been if he trained as hard as Ronaldo and Messi 😅

After few years the partying and coming drunk at training catched up and he declined. Had 5 great years, 3 years as undisputed best in world. Ronaldinho was in the same team as Messi during his very early career in Barcelona and is still one of his close friends, however Ronaldinho retired a few years ago from professional football but he still plays occasionally in charity games 😊
I was laughing hilariously when you said he must train like a beast, because he really didn't which is why his peak only lasted for 3/4 years while he was in Barca, otherwise he would have won numerous ballon d'ors and been considered in the top 2 best ever players easily. Ronaldinho Prime was something else. Unfortunatly as for many Brazil legends at that time, prime didnt last that long compared to guys like Messi and CR7. I think if Ronaldinhos prime would have lastest as long as cr7 messi, we would name him in the top 5 all time but that goes for many guys like R9 for example aswel.

Actually, Ronaldinho barely trained. He had some clauses on his contract when he was at Barcelona. Somedays he wouldn't even show up because he didn't had to. It was just natural for him.

He is the best player that ever lived, if we talk about skills, Sadly he was too fond of partying. It was common for him to go straight to trainning from late night parties. Still he won every single thing possible, individualy. with his club and national team, before his 30's. So he lost motivation. He lacked discipline, he didn't trained at all, it was sheer, pure talent, unlike Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi, that were training machines with a hundred people behind them to make them the mosters they are.
Ronaldinho is the very embodiment of a football genius, brilliant, charming, a little crazy, and at his own pace. He played because he was having fun, the moment he stopped having fun, his career went to waste. He is already retired. His peak was the highest ever, but it was short too. You should check his Brazilian teammate the original Ronaldo Nazario "O fenomeno". He was almost as good as Ronaldinho, he was meant to be the Greatest of All Times, but he got an ending career knee injury, twice, and he came back after two years, but he was already a different player. He lost his magic, but still he was a hell of a striker that won World Cup after that. He also had a disease that caused him troubles and made hm fat. Nature definitely hated him.

Yeah I seem to remember him having lots of issues with management cause all he did was party and never practiced. I think that's why his career ended earlier than it should have too.
