I dont have tiktok so never seen GOF on there but I've seen it loads of times on YT. Massively hyped! Agreed it's nothing special but I feel that way about Porthole as well
Porthole is a game winner! I've heard a lot of hype around God of Fire, but hadn't seen any real frag reviewers do a breakdown on it.... now I know why LOL Great Review!!!!
@@TheNoviceKnows lol I can see why people would like it but the Drydown leaves alot to be desired
Newts such a great guy 🙄
Lol but yeah winner for me is Porthole. It’s around a 9 for me. Only wish it had a brighter opening (being picky). God of fire’s opening is great but drydown comes on too fast and is meh. It’s a 7.5-8 at best. I need you to try summer hammer. its more similar to god of fire than PH is. Summer hammer is a less musky more tropical fruity mango take of erba pura. Really good. An 8.5.
@@mofosho ya summer hammer is the only other tropical fragrance I’m really interested in right now
Porthole is amazing. God of fire has a good opening, but overall it was an okay fragrance for me
Need more versus videos! Haven’t tried god of fire but have a 10ml of porthole & it does smell amazing but not a fragrance for me but a candle of it would be awesome.
@@bink6177 ya I’ve heard people say that and ya I agree it’s not an every day frag it’s a great beach frag but vs videos I’m gonna try to do more of
Hi Randy. I'm still trying to source Porthole within the UK. I know I'll be hit with heavy import charges should I order directly from France so that's not an option.
I received Simone Andreoli Malibu Party In The Bay today. It's similar to VIW but with better projection and longevity. The quality of ingredients may not quite match Creed but I think it's just as good, if not better, in other ways.
My SOTD was PdM Perseus. I know you're lukewarm on it but personally I rather love it. I sprayed it on at 9am and can still smell it at 11pm. That's seriously impressive. Oh and also received 2 compliments from my work colleagues!
@@sandymcconnell1969 wow I’m surprised I thought it would be readily accessible for you. And ya I like Perseus but it smells to similar to less expensive frags I already own
Performance seems off to me, I bought porthole a couple months ago and it seems to die within a couple hours. 1 hr projection - rest skin. Coworkers had to put their nose to my neck to smell it. I found one on mercari and the description said it’s an older valuable batch and that newer ones have bad performance. Anyone experience the same?
Great review my doud.
@@vincefry9225 appreciate u fam
Super curious about Porthole but it's tough to get in the states. Thanks for the coverage!
If you’re serious about trying to get a bottle, it looks like Scent Split has it in stock for $280, with 5% off for first time customers. Just an FYI, I have no affiliation to any sites. I just did a google search. Be well.
@@nateriley4067 yeah, I've seen it there. I was planning on getting a sample first. That's a steep blind buy
@@nateriley4067 it’s gonna be on Venba in a few days for $225
@@joesmellsgood no prob bud. So the bottle will be on venba around $225 I think this week
@@FragranceDOUD That’s a crazy good deal. Better save my shekels. Thanks for the info. Be well.
Good review, good sir. Have you tried Ex Nihilo Blue Talisman yet?
@@jbeezyrok ya I have a decant I love it it’s basically juicy pear mixed with a blue frag
@@FragranceDOUD nice. Exactly! 👍
Ur intro is so 🔥
@@BigGuadelope appreciate you!
BTV 1907 is also similar DNA. Porthole > GOF
Don’t really get that from 1907
@@AttentionSpannn interesting thanks for the heads up
1907 and God of fire are very similar, God of fire mid is basically 1907 but 1907 is better quality…. I don’t get how ppl are comparing Porthole with God of fire though
Stephane (male name) not Stephanie (female name). ;-) But thank you for this review... I like them both, but I find God of Fire has an intense ambroxan note that gets annoying. The mango in the Loumari is much more tame in a good way.
@@TheScentCellar ya someone told me that after I freakin read it wrong lol. Not familiar with the brand out side of that. And ya I totally agree
I don't mind fruity as long as it's not too feminine. How does porthole compare with bani?
@@AB-bw5yc see I never understood the hype with bani. My moderators and I were talking about it the other day how it’s not as good as some reviewers say it is. With that said porthole and bani aren’t very similar
Have yu tried city rhythm peurto Rico???
Where did you get porthole from? It’s very hard to find for a good price?
Hi randy... where is a good site to pickup Porthole??
@@MzHeather-904 right now scent split is the only place you can get it in the USA for $280 unless u can find a code. But venba will be getting it in very soon within days for $220-$230 and it will be posted on my community tab first since I had him get it. So just pay attention to that
Pause!
lol “I tried it on Moe’s dipstick”…😂
Where did you get Porthole from? PortHole is more similar to Vibrato.
@@extraordinarilyaveragereviews porthole and vibrato have nothing in common (outside of the note of ginger but one uses it centerfold as a fresh crisp ginger while the other one is a warm ginger that is barely noticeable) I apologize I think u might (if you have the bottles) a wrong bottle or something. I got a decant of it sent from Loumari first then I got another decant from Ross (TLTG) then I bought a bottle from Loumari itself. I’ve spoken to about 10 reviewers and over 100 subscribers who have tried it and all agree it’s a passionfruit/pineapple forward fragrance with salt. Vibrato is a grapefruit ginger jasmine powdery fragrance with no fruits at all while porthole is fruit based with the tropical fruits doesn’t have grapefruit or powder or jasmine. If u even look at the top 20 most compared fragrances vibrato isn’t even on the list and for vibrato porthole isn’t on the list or any comparable. So I’m thinking you might not have the right bottle unfortunately. Do u have the bottles and where did you get them from?
@@FragranceDOUD You're right. I think it is Wonderous Flight and Vibrato.
@@extraordinarilyaveragereviews yep those two are similar
@@FragranceDOUD I'm at work and bought a bunch of testers. I am reviewing them at my desk bored. Where did you get Porthole? I need that in my collection.
Randy, a minor detail, but it’s Stephane Humbert Lucas, who I’m pretty damn sure is a dude. It’s pronounced (Steph-on), not Stephanie. I know these sissy, French names are kinda hard to pronounce, but I wanted you to sound professional. Anyway, thanks for the review.
@@nateriley4067 oh geez no I read it wrong. Lol the name isn’t on the decant and for some reason I read Stephanie thanks for letting me know
@@FragranceDOUD No problem, bud. I didn’t notice how you spelled it until you said “Stephanie” in the video. We all make mistakes. If this is this worst one you made today, you're better than most people.
