I found these instructions super simple and easy to follow. After spending the whole morning trying to reinstall our printer since we moved - and 45 min on the phone with after sales support to no avail - it took me max 10 minutes to install it successfully and that’s only because the printer is quite slow. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

Hi, TY for the vid. I purchased a Laptop and they had a deal where this printer was an additional $20.00 - so I bought it without learning it's features. I'm so thrilled, It's a great little printer, works wonderfully, and does much more than I'd thought. I can use my phone, Chromebook (with an app) , Fire 10HD Tablet, all to print and even Google Home - verbally to tell it to print to the printer! So convenient. Plus it scans! Best printer I've purchased.

i actually LOVE this printer, i´ve had it for years! I only have a tablet at home, and i love the wierless printing! also, i dont care that its super slow, i have time. I print sewing patterns and acationally word document, and it fits me perfectly! Thanks for the easy set up video, i just moved house and forgot how to connect it again. tnx!

Thank you for doing this. I really appreciate it. I bought one online but it didn’t come with any instructions. Also thank you for the person who mentioned that it was a struggle on the cartridges. I felt I was doing it wrong and going to break them too. Even though the ink was already installed in his it would have been nice if he showed how to take them out and put them in. Very informative. 😊
And yes this small printer is for those people like me who never have to print things, until out of the blue your printing and scanning documents to get social security. 🤓

I'm a network engineer and I can't get this fucking thing to connect to anything. Awful awful printer!!!
took me like an hour and a half to get it working. was FRUSTRATING.
I had trouble with the ink cartridges as you have to REALLY shove em' in there -- was scared I was going to break the frame because of how much force it requires!

The one con about this is the scanning feature. I find you have to hold the paper in and it can only scan 1 page at a time? It would make more sense for it to scan in reverse from what it does now. Like have the scanner scan like how the paper is fed through when printing. Anyone else agree?

Great tutorial although i havent tried it yet but plan to tonight. What i need to know is, when you connect it to wifi through your ipad what about using a main computer? I do alot of work on my main computer so i dont know what to do as you set yours up using your ipad. Im SOOOO CONFUSED! Please help me. Ive been over a week or longer procrastinating over this, techi stuff scares the holy crapola out of me! 😔

I have all working with a cell phone & Apple computer EXCEPT. (1) HP Instant Ink reorder and (2) black and white as the default from the cell phone. Please step by step how to do both. Thanks

Hi wondering if you can help on this one My print was working fine and then it stoped ! Its now saying ble to my hp printer is unable to connect to your wireless router Mac Address filtering may be enabled on your wireless router which can prevent your HP printer from connecting to your wireless network during setup.
Solution Mac address is enabled and you would like to keep it enabled you must dd the mac address of your printer to the list of permitted devices for your wireless router before continuing.

What I did it set it up and just put my normal Wi-Fi and not that Wi-Fi and just took a pic and put it to photo and press pirnt and it did

Scanning is its main weakness. I did not trust feeding important documents through the scanner.

Glad it helped. HP ink cartridges are available at most retail stores and even supermarkets depending on your country and stores. I have seen this printer was modified for CISS.

To fix this on an iPad turn the printer on press the the WiFi button on the printer then check the WiFi then connect

I bought this POS printer because I trusted the HP name. Big mistake. Took forever to set up, is difficult to print from, and sucks up ink like a sponge. Horrible printer. Threw it in the trash 6 months after I bought it.

Thanks so much for this tutorial. I was going around in circles trying to get this printer reset. Extra benefits were the scanning details and the instructions for using with my ipad as well as my computer. Sadly all this was missing from the instructions that come with the packaging.

Hp smart but sometimes it does not work for every country. So what you do is, go to wifi settings in the mobile. It might not work from laptop. Don't forget to open wireless network of printer by pressing power button for 5 secs. If wifi logo blinks, that means it is working. Now from wifi section of your mobile, connect it to printer by putting password 12345678. Internet will stop working after connected. Now you go to files and open it and print directly. It might work. Mine was working after this. Good luck.

Hi, it can not scan double sided automatically. you have to manually feed the scans. Yes you can scan IDs, just manually feed it. You can also scan file as PDF, and combine multi pages, but you can not scan 2 sides into one page to print. Hopefully this helps.
