- 158 1503 A rare glimpse into the daily routines of the Indian Army when in the field in a border station.
How emotional for a daughter to have found the only video she has of her father in this recording. From 3:08 - 3:14 in this video, one can see Vitthal Chandrabhan Bhalsing was posted in Kargil, and was sadly martyred on 21st Oct 2006 in Rajouri, Kashmir. We offer obeisance to the fallen soldier of India, thanks to his daughter Pallavi V Bhalsing who noticed and recognized him in our wildfilmsindia video.
Army personnel shaving, polishing shoes and some tying their turbans at the army camp in Kargil. After getting ready they go and sit in front of the holy book Guru Granth Sahib before they start to get on with their warm-up. Listening to songs over the radio and eating food has now become their life. Gathered around the postmaster, they wait and read letters from their families and ensure that they write back to them.
Officer 1 says "If we cry then how will we take care of the country."
Officer 2 says "Yes we think of them back home but being here for the country is important."
Officer 3 says "I do write to my family and there is a huge difference in talking face to face and via letter."

I remember, I was in junior school then and my school has organised a rally in support of our warriors, we students were so excited for this and we made a a lot of banner with slogans, one of which I remember is this " Doodh Mangoge to kheer denge, Kashmir mangoge to cheer denge" , even our Principal Sister Cynthia asked us to donate whatever we can so that it cab be sent to our Brave Warriors. My heart goes out to these great men who despite of having to live under such apauling conditions still have a smile on thier faces , the corruption of the indian government and the authorities has seriously affected the quality of living and logistics of these men . I feel so bad for these great soldiers.

I must be of the student age during the kargil war time. My mom older bro served there and by God grace he came home but one of our villager youth died there. I remember holding a huge funeral service at the village. Much love and respect to all the soldiers and veterans of Kargil War.
