This guy worked on my vette and did some accents in black, amazing guy super straight forward and even gave me some scraps to play with if I wanted to take a shot at wrapping anything else that's small, I feel like I might go back to him buy some more scraps so I can attempt this myself too. I did mine back in October. First experience aside from a chrome delete id done. Mainly with knifeless tape though as i had bigger straight line pieces in my design. Thanks to you and your channel 🙏 video on my page
When I first read " camo wrap, " I thought I wouldn't come close to liking it. Then I saw the new knife and thought, " well now....this could be interesting. " Lastly, when you know that Christian's doing the wrap, I should have known it would look killer. Christian.....not only are you the best wrapper going, your eye for colors, and overlapping are incredible. I don't know if you have ever heard of the movie The Horse Whisperer, but I truly believe that a movie should be made starring YOU called The Vinyl Whisperer. Of course, with her superb camera work, your wife could do the FILMing ( no pun intended. )
Why haven't I thought of this? It's crazy how you end up with scraps and just hold on to them until they get needed or get more for a new project. Definitely a way to use up some leftovers!!! Great job, just some additional pieces to tie it together and your done!

Ck wraps are you going to do a video on that bmw e90 or is the camo design what the customer wanted.
Keep in mind, I used this method on a vehicle of mine and once the vinyl settled/shrank, it left adhesive around all the stripes I put on my truck. Which in turn collected a ton of dirt. Might have been able to remove the adhesive before too much dirt got into it but it didn't bother me too much so I dealt with it. I used vvivid on mine.

How much material would you recommend to purchase if I wanted to do a 3 or 4 color on a 4 door jeep? I’m thinking 5ft of each color or is that too much? I have a color matched hard top so that would get camo as well

Where do you buy the large rolls of vinyl? I've looked on Amazon and i cannot find Matte finishes in large rolls. I'm interested in learning how to do this. There are no resources locally to use for it and I might offer it.
Oper8or you can go to Metro Restyling. They sell large rolls from multiple brands. I think CK uses them sometimes too

idono it looks cheap on some angles but the black and grey look nice.
besides my idea of a camo wrap is feeding it into a plotter and getting each piece identical and just mask the vinyl after
Isn't a camo design more of a random array of shapes as opposed to having them identical? The video was for information on how to do it. You could definitely select any colors, you can design your own style on the fly and add more to it!
@@CKWraps Most camos are patterns that blend together making the object harder to spot. the random array in my opinion makes them look like a cow design. it doesn't have to be symmetrical to make it look odd. I enjoyed the video, it looks like a great tool for vinyl by hand designs. It would be amazing if you did a video to design a vehicle wrap in illustrator and plot out the vinyl. or in your opinion and expertise would that take too much time? Keep up the great work too!
@@MxT333 I understand what you mean now. I guess there are many different styles to camo. Come want the blob shapes, or harder angles, and others want it to actually camouflage. This video ua-cam.com/video/bE9_BbNelaA/v-deo.html was freehand as well. It would've taken me a lot more time to plot all of this out.

I thought cutting a wrap on the car surface was a huge no no because you could put cuts in the paint
Bro with This method you could damage the original paint if you keep the vinyl all the summer, you better work on a full Wrap and make it full protect 🙏
why would it damage the paint
It's because the sun will fade the areas of paint around the vinyl if you live in a hot climate and leave it on long enough. Paint fades so it could potentially leave the camp pattern behind
