Outstanding work Windy! I will always remember seeing it in person , visiting with you and Karyn was the highlight of our east coast trip. Everyone always asks about you and if you will ever fly again and all I say is I sure hope so. All the best. Warren and Ramona.
GLAD YOU AND RAMONA ENJOYED IT. WHEN WE WERE OUT BY YOU IN CALIFORNIA THE FORREST FIRES WERE RAGING. I STILL REMEMBER YOUR 63 FORD HANGING ON THE WALL. STAY IN TOUCH AND SPREAD THE PASSION FOR ALL OF LIFE.
More than 25 years ago a fellow modeler and friend named CARLOS SERRA got the parts from an old VCR player and got it to spin exactly the right speed,THAT WAS NOT EASY.I used a plastic figure,a piece of music wire, and the model B25 is ICONIC to me as it is modeled after one flown by the TUSKEEGEE AIRMEN in WW2. In the room next to the train room is an oil painting of the REAL B25 done by THE LATE George Venturini and a MODEL I Made with 6 FT WINGSPAN THAT WON MANY AWARDS IN COMPETITION. it is all very special to me. I will try to include this story on a future train video. We run trains about once a week and I try to post a video of the session to share with everyone. If you enjoyed the video pass on the link to your friends who like trains, motorcycles,or BOTH.
OVER MY 78 YEARS I HAVE HAD MANY LAYOUTS, SOME MUCH LARGER, BUT I HAVE ENJOYED DETAILING THIS ONE OVER 25 YEARS AND IT IS STILL LOTS OF FUN FOR ME,MY GRANDSON,AND FELLOW HIGH RAILERS THAT COME TO VISIT.
I remember seeing this in some of your model plane videos....Super detailed...You can even see tiny weeds sticking up out of the ground amazing work...I am hoping to see some Christmas videos like you used to do in your modeling videos...I don't know what it was but watching the Christmas videos like you did just give you a really good feeling and put a smile on my face...
GLAD YOU ENJOYED IT.I TRY TO SHOOT FROM REALISTIC ANGLES AND HEIGHTS WITH THE 4K CAMERA AND THE GO PRO SHOTS ARE FUN BECAUSE IT FEELS LIKE YOUR ACTUALLY ON A TRAIN.
THANK YOU FOR KIND WORDS,THE LAYOUT IS 26 YEARS OLD AND STILL GET RUN REGULARLY. THE SCENERY TOOK A LOT OF TIME BUT IT HAS REALLY HELD UP WELL OVER THE YEARS.
Very nice layout Windy! I think we had Super O trains as a kid. My Dad bought us a steam Locomotive, that you could put in a smoke tablets to have smoke coming out. Coal Tender car that had the train whistle I believe. Various cars including the golden yellow BOSCO car that unloaded the "jugs". A Chicken Sweeper car that had a guy come out the car door and "sweep". A missile car that would elevate a missile and fire it! Assorted box cars, tanker cars, etc. Also had a caboose that you could add "smoke oil" to make it smoke as well. We had a 4x8' plywood as a layout board. All Lionel. A few village buildings, street lamps that would glow in the dark.
THE LAYOUT WAS FEATURED IN NOV 2005 CLASSIC TOY TRAINS. ROGER CARP SPENT MANY HOURS TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS FOR THAT ARTICLE. IN THE YEARS THAT HAVE PAST I HAVE MADE CONSTANT CHANGES THAT ARE ONGOING AND APPEAR IN THE VIDEOS I POST EACH WEEK. IT HAS EVOLVED SO I CAN RUN THREE TRAINS AT THE SAME TIME WITH MY GRANDSON AND WITH MY O GAUGE FRIENDS WHO VISIT FOR RUNNING SESSIONS. THE VIDEOS ARE POSTED IN ORDER BY DATE AND IF YOU LOOK CLOSE YOU CAN SPOT CHANGES IN TRACK PLAN THAT ALLOW THE THIRD TRAIN TO RUN INDEPENDENTLY ALONG WITH SCENERY AND DETAILING IMPROVEMENTS. HOPE YOU ARE ENJOYING SHARING OUR PASSION FOR O GAUGE.
I RARELY HAVE DERAILMENTS BUT WHEN I DO I HAVE BROOMSTICKS WITH WIRE HOOKE TO GRAB THINGS OUT OF MY REACH.I HAVE A DUSTBUSTER TO KEEP IT CLEAN,AND THE MOUNTAINS ARE PERMANENT.THE LAKE BY THE TRAIN STATION LIFTS OUT FOR ACCESS WHEN NECESSARY. I HAVE HAD CELLAR LAYOUTS MUCH BIGGER BUT THIS IS MY FAVORITE,IT IS IN THE ATTIC,NO MOISTURE.HOPE YOU ENJOY THE VIDEOS,SHARE WITH YOUR FRIENDS.
Windy, you truly have an A*** train layout filled with incredible, painstaking detail unlike other videos I’ve viewed elsewhere on UA-cam. I am highly impressed with your amazing skills in creating such a realistic layout! I have 2 questions - First, there must be occasional derailments, so how do you reach them in far off places like inside tunnels, etc.? Do the tunnels lift off? Second, since you have been on this project a long time, how do you deal with atmospheric dust settling on the layout? I would like to take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to you for a happy and healthy 2024! I am highly impressed with your amazing skills in creating such a realistic layout!
Just a outstanding layout got to tell you my favorite is that control line flying field I would just love to be able to testify there someday LOL😊 PS I definitely can see why it was in the magazine you do outstanding work my friend😎🍕🍻💪🇺🇸🥇
Beautifully done 🚂
This is AMAZING. The attention to detail is remarkable; shrubs, trees, grass, railroad ties, gravel, etc. everything.... it is a piece of art.

You are the maestro!
Thanks for sharing.
You have a beautiful layout! Your tracks look so real with the way you weathered them. The scenery and details are breathtaking!
Great layout!! When you build a layout, this is where the artistic abilities come out. It's more about the layout than the trains.
I THINK WE ALL HAVE SIMILAR GREAT MEMORIES.EVERY TIME I WORK ON THE LAYOUT IT BRINGS ME BACK TO A PLACE WHERE ARTHRITIS DOES NOT EXIST.
JUST FINISHED MORE MODS AND AFTER 25 YEARS IT IS STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS. NEW VIDEO EVERY WEEK,ENJOY AND SHARE JUST LIKE BEING AT OUR RUN SESSIONS.
Magnificent layout, excellent detailing, outstanding design.... salute to you sir.....

THE BEST THING ABOUT A LAYOUT IS YOU CAN HAVE GREAT TRAINS AND A DETAILED LAYOUT AND MAKE IT ANYTHING YOU CAN DREAM OF.

Very nice and realistic, I realize it’s a lot of work, but honestly I only look at the trains. 😊😊
Just came across your video, I am totally impressed. I liked and subscribed. Very impressive!!
I forgot to mention...the camera work is very good. Thanks for making it fun.

I enjoyed seeing the green Hackensack Medical University boxcar! I don't think too many of us have them.
O GAUGE,HOT WHEELS,and a great GRANDSON,life is GOOD.
Your layout is seriously nice and so are all your consist.
I USUALLY LET MY GRANDSON SET THE CONSISTS,he loves the trains as much as I do and has trains of his own too.
I WISH THE TRAINS THAT ROLL THRU MY TOWN LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE JUST OFF THE ASSEMBLY LINE MAYBE ITS MY FANTASY BUT YOU MAKE A GOOD POINT.
Just found your channel. This is awesome! 😎👍 🚂 💯
Beyond impressive and so realistic!
26 years a LABOR OF LOVE.

Incredibly detailed layout.
PASS IT ON MORE VIDEOS ARE IN THE WORKS.
Beautiful! Great work!
Very nice thank you for posting it on u tube
Most impressive .New subscriber here
JOE CARABELLO DONATED THAT TO THE LAYOUT WHEN HE WAS LIVING AT MY HOUSE AND WE RAN TRAINS TOGETHER.
How did you come up with the little model planes on your layout? Did you make them or buy them? They're wonderful.
I HAND CARVED MOST FROM BALSA WOOD AND FRIENDS DONATED A FEW OTHERS.
IF YOU DETAIL SCENERY OR RUN TRAINS ON PLYWOOD WE CAN STILL BE FRIENDS.
Excellent! 👍👍
spectacular
What issue of ctt was this in, year and run number??? Thanks ...
KEEP SMILING.
WITHOUT A PASSION FOR SOMETHING YOU GET OLD QUICKLY.
Everything is beautiful except the trains all being shiny like they just rolled off the assembly line.
