I've started my son on your videos and he's trying to ride "skinnies" (the edge of curbs, cement parking spot dividers, stuff like that) around our neighbourhood. I keep telling him when he's big enough we will find some good trails here in Ontario or maybe even save for a trip west. We both enjoy watching your vids, so thanks for posting!
I dont know where you are in Ontario but in the states Copper Harbor, Michigan and in Marquette Michigan there is some great riding from beginner all the way up to expert
Also from Ontario. But you shouldn’t keep your son off of good trails till he’s big enough. Should take advantage of him being young and small and pack as much progression in as you can. I live out west and you wouldn’t believe how good some of these kids are at such a young age! I know it’s probably scary to watch as a father but you’re short changing your little man on some major progression, you wouldn’t believe what these kids can do if you let them loose!
@@matthewbush2870 it's more that he has to grow into his frame. He's too big for his old bike but not quite big enough for his new (to us) frame.
Great to hear! He can always practice some other basic trials skills to work on the technical side of things, and for a good challenge!

First time I rode this trail was on my Norco hardtail, back when my arms and legs were my only suspension. After fighting the fullsus vs HT theory for many many years, This had to be the first trail I hit with my New! 2020 Jeffsy and it was like a whole new trail. Good vid, love the bike!

I don’t remember writing on it but I just remember looking at the seat on my dad‘s bike and what fun that it was! I think that gave me my love for Bicycle’s to the day. That is such an awesome thing, and when he gets big enough obviously the tagalong Bicycle video of the dude carving corners with his kid in tow is an awesome one too! Enjoy the ride my friend!
Your boy is adorable, so looking forward to my daughter being old enough to come along with me using a Mac Ride or similar system.
You guys inspired me to ride all this (plus Skull) earlier this week for the first time in many many years. Full respect to Digger for these legendary trails. All stuff after the fork to Big Stupid is just as scary after all these years. The loose stuff and marbles is almost as scary as the wet too! Really nice ride.

Hit Lower Ladies by accident (long story) a couple of months back. That is one sketchy trail way beyond my abilities. Walked most of it; rode parts. Had a wee accident on the Monster coaster that sidelined me for a while. It’s ridiculous how confidently you and your crew ride this stuff.

My experience with riding any sort of bikes is always the same:
Downhill: No Energy Usage
Straight: Pretty good
0.02% Uphill: Energy failing immediately

To think ladies only is a year older than me is crazy. Imagine riding that on an early 90s bike or most likely a late 80s bike 😅 I would have never taken my panasonic mountian cat down that.

@@ddangerousddave I actually was late to the game, so I have it with the feet all the way down and have shifted the saddle back a bit. My brother has had his son on his since he was 2 I believe(turning 4 soon).

Would you ever attempt all of these balance tricks clipped in? I never see you really leave the pedals so shouldn’t be an issue for you…
Wouldn't be too bad on these trails in particular, but it's not something I'm keen on. I like to know i can jump off at a moments notice

20,25 years ago, do you really think the trail elements are that old? When I think of the bikes from 20 years ago, it must have been even more difficult...
The trail elements have been replaced over time by the original builder Todd "Digger" Fiander and the North Shore Mountain Bike Association. I started riding in 1997 and it's hard to believe that people rode these trails on those bikes haha.

None of Diggers true work still exists, the trail tread is there but yeah, those guys used to build trails 30 feet up in the trees

You are following too close. Annoying to watch and must be annoying for the guy in front as well. If you wanna go faster drive in front, otherwise keep some distance.
