Andrew, I just want to say how much I enjoy your videos. You have the knack for creating extremely watchable and interesting episodes. I stumbled across your cheap wave runner video a couple of weeks ago and have since spent many hours watching you work. You, Sir, rock. Keep it up!
rofl, talk about overkill. Andrew cracks me up: sees a couple of smallish potholes in his driveway (could've probably been filled by hand with a wheelbarrow, really), goes on to dump a shitload of stone on them. I mean, like 10 times more than necessary just for good measure. Didn't watch it through yet, but I bet he says something like "yeah, that should do it" or "that turned out pretty good" in the end ;-). Love your videos, man.
maintenance pays big dividends, it's great to look back and see your progress, take good care of Levi he's in the senior years which i can relate...it's not easy to grow old and face one's inevitable mortality

Levi is a very intricate part of this channel and he is given great treatment. Every time you see water you know he is going to be in it. Great channel and so well edited. Dont read the comments just keep doing this, THANKS
Andrew is using a technique called back-blading. You use the bottom of the bucket to level out the road. He is not using the front edge too much going forwards because it would push and pick up/out the larger shale pieces.
I like the fact that your posting more videos. Levi was just a young boy and the ford truck hadn't earned many bruises yet. I is in the best interest of a landscaper to have a very nice dive into the property and you show what you can do with what you have to work with. I forget why you said that a road compactor didn't work for you but it seems that they tend to pack in a driveway and not create the holes that comes with drives that don't have a smart owner who breaks his own trail in and out. We widened the roads we worked on the same way by driving further out till they become very passable. Pulling the ditch lines with a grader then when crowning it, work it out further till they became two lane roads. Most of our roads were not financed by the burrough so we all took turns in making roads better when we had the time and making the time to get the roads safe for winter traffic. Good video Andrew
Not bad , three days in a row ... it makes my day, thanks. While watching the outro I was thinking you have a knack of flying that drone and putting music behind. It is really really nice and always has a relaxing and soothing feel to it. Like the time you did 4 min of flying in "Setting a Granite Frog" that was great.
I know when AC positioned his JD TLB for loading, after jumping it, from sitting a while, he shut it down for the benefit of the video to explain the task, against his better judgement to let it charge up, while he got the truck. He did say it had electrical problems, maybe would not have charged, but I say he did it for us viewers because that's how he rolls...THANKS AC!!
Hi, Andrew, with love from Russia. Every evening, me and my bear like watching your videos. My bear likes driving bike and excavator. Welcome to Russia!!!
Great video once again. I love doing that kind of work. Nothing like fixing it if it don't suit. Got a chance to go over my cat763 today. Found leak getting new hoses in the morning. So wish I had a rubber track machine. They're like having a compactor and bucket together. Well another great video keep em coming. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!!!
That's cool using the resources around you. Where I grew up it was coal cinders. Everybody heated with coal so all the streets and driveways were paved with post burn cinders. They started off large and broke to near powder also. Thanks for the videos.
Our track in high school was paved with coal cinders. Great to run on but when you fell and your bare knees hit it, it was brutal. Never turned to powder. After my time they replaced it with a rubberized membrane track. Nice.
Love watching you improve your property and equipment. You really have a great place. There’s just has to be something else new & cool you can build on you place.

In southern Nevada in the 70's we "paved" a road about 6 miles long using sandstone/shale to our family campground in the mountains. I went in the Navy in 72 and I had never been back to the camp. In 2000 I went up there just to look around. There were about 20 other cabins and camps but the road was still intact. I talked to my cousin and he said he had graded it several times over the years for potholes but it was pretty much as we had laid it back then. Great material!
