Hey Bill...your analysis of the games are the best...I agree with the effort and the two NEW players--and I've always liked Simon Benoit---he showed that grit LAST year---And OUR GOALTENDING is no longer going to drag us down. Woll and Stolarz are REAL goalies. Can't wait for Saturday !!!!!!!
I was not very happy with Simon getting scratched for 2 games but he gets back in and proves he's their 2nd best defensive defenseman if you consider Tanev as the number 1. Benoit deserves to play. I'm sure Bérubé was happy with his performance...

Agree the leafs answered the physical play from Vegas. Also the instant the sportsnet panel started talking about the hit I turned them off and played Nintendo switch till the 3rd started.
It was a great game, I think it was one of the best game I have watched in a long time. The Leafs are not the pushovers from a few years back...the hit on Knies was questionable but he did get him with the shoulder so, at first view it looked bad but it was actually a good check...Benoit had a great game and in general the defense was awesome.
