Anja over on the Ophelia Talks Crochet channel confirmed in her live on Sunday that the same factory in Turkey makes the same yarn for three different popular brands, and the companies just slap their own labels on it. Same colours, same specs, same everything except for price and some of the colour names. She found this out because she and her husband opened an online store and became a vendor for two of those brands. So what we have long suspected has now been confirmed.

The more you have of the same colour way the bigger the project, think of the wonderful sweaters and blankets and matching hat and scarves you can make from that lot. Love the purple colour and the sheen showed as well.

My per ball cost came out to 1.97 per ball, and that includes 4 balls of the Mosaic that matches the Puzzle "Dominoes" yarn! I also bought an emerald green fingering weight that I am hoping is going to be wonderful- plans for a lacy sweater! Hope you and your mom have a great weekend! Can't wait for the live on Sunday!

Hello Juan. I think the Picasso yarn makes a beautiful stained glass look because of the shine it has. The only drawback I ever found with the Picasso yarn is that it tends to stick to itself making it difficult to frog.

That cool mint soft yarn is so pretty. It would make up into a lovely baby blanket. The tweed yarn is kinda funky looking. Can't wait to see what it looks like worked up.
I have used RH soft for a baby blanket and it works up so beautifully and is silky soft. I agree, the mint maybe mixed with white and grey would be stunning!

I wish I could share my photo of my latest blanket. It's purple with 2 wide stripes of gray. It's done in C2C. I think you and I are the only people who believe that purple and gray go together 😂😂😂.

I'm using a 6mm with Picasso, and yes it is coming up slightly looser ... BUT ... it is a bugger to frog, so be very careful! If you use a smaller hook you may be committing yourself. But I absolutely love it: it is soft, silky, fluffy and has the most amazing sheen which is almost metallic. The best bit is that it doesn't split because it's a chain-spun yarn. When I ordered mine I couldn't make up my mind between the primary or pastel colours but went for the primary. The turquoise, teal, pink and purple colours are just stunning. Oh, and those yarn cakes ... you must have noticed that you actually have several different colourways over the 4 boxes, but you rushed over them without even looking. Every time I see the Puzzle yarn, I just think of the James C Brett Marble bulky which is spun up exactly the same way with 2 different colours plied together and then randomly variagated throughout the ball. Funnily enough they're a similar price, too - but I can't justify the cost of the Marble when it's not on sale. In the same vein, I think I'll have to bypass the Puzzle when we come over to the US in a couple of months for the same reason.
Picasso is beautiful yarn. I shared a picture of the paw print blanket I made with the rainbow colour way on the facebook group. I’m pretty sure I used a 6mm hook. Which may have been a touch big. You are right it is a thinner 4 weight. Play around with it, it works up beautifully… frogging does at times get caught up though.
Hari Om ...and that same Turkish yarn producer makes one of my absolute fave yarns, Womens Institute Aran... it is lush! I do so enjoy your yarn openings... as for fave stitches, I'm not sure I have one particular one. It is more that I like to work with a certain stitch for a while, then move on and utilise another. Lately I have been enjoying using latched stitches, mainly in the hdc and dc range. (Some folk call them linked stitches I believe). YAM xx
