- For decades, Victor Carrafa rode with some of the most infamous groups in American history and never let jails or prisons hold him for long. Then one day in the early 1990s he pulled off his most brazen escape ever, with disturbing results. Here is the forgotten story of the ultimate outlaw.

My morbid curiosity only gets the best of me when THIS channel uploads. I am grateful for all the hard work you do!
So you must be a true crime junkie 😄
This is hardly “Morbid curiosity”. That would be watching cartel videos. This is simply true crime
I sincerely think you post the best true crime videos in yt. I look forward to all your uploads.
I just found this channel and while the videos are good a lot of people use recycled footage and this channel doesn't I'm on a bingewith these
Quality content as usual really enjoy these indepth criminal stories 🔥😎
As a Co.Co.County boy from Martinez , who has done 14 years straight in California level four prisons and a crime history buff I have to say you have impressed me with your knowledge and accurate journalism, keep up the good work ! I’m curious where you’re getting these stories n facts from ? I see and enjoy how you include the news reports in the videos plz continue but you have to have sources who have done time or at least been in these Bay Area streets for a long time to come across these crazy true crime stories ? Are you open to suggestions for future stories? I know of a few good ones right up KC’s alley if you are interested let me know ? Also I’m curious about what happened to Gallant after he was busted as you didn’t mention his sentence or ultimate fate …?
Exactly! What was the penalty and ultimate outcome/punishment.
Why would this dude give up his sources to you or anybody? I'm sure he wants to keep this channel. He gives up his sources then anybody can do this channel. Ijs
Antioch whiteboy here
@@jamierupert7563he was curious and would like to be able to share stories with him even
@@jamierupert7563all curt and law enforcement files are public available if the case is closed so there you have your sources lol

Thats when you should realize youre cooked way beyond anything 😂
This channel is way underrated. Great content as always
This truly is my favorite crime channel. You’re doing great work. I’m always looking forward to a new video. I’d love to help you keep it going. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do.
Been waiting!! Thank you so much for your hard work, KC! Nobody does it better!!
Great to hear a real person doing the vo in this genre. Too many flyby night true crime channels with AI voice over its creepy. Keep up the good work!
Could u please post more often? Your stories r well done and intriguing 🙏
Don't rush greatness! More content usually means less quality.
Understood
He usually posts once a month
Hell yeah! what a great way to start off the weekend KC I have notifications turned on for this channel. One of my favorite!
Aw shiiiit here we go again! Killer Chronicles dropping a fire video, like always. I wish every day felt like this.
Great content. However, Fonbuena was not “mortally” wounded; that would indicate that he died. Rather, he was critically wounded but survived.
Good catch. I dislike when people erroneously use them as synonyms.
And that El Camino sure looked like a Camaro
💯% #Bisinasseh
Orale carnal…. Orale
You and paradigm media news are my favourite channels. Top notch content....
I worked for an armored car company that was bought out by loomis. Policy was if the guy that got out was attacked and robbed the driver was supposed to drive away. Had an understanding between about half of us to not leave anyone on their own. I quit in February and the day before Christmas eve the guy who took my place had someone walk up behind him and shoot him in the back of the head. It was a really really bad part of town. When i got out there soon as my boots hit the ground i looked around and unsnapped my holster. Back in the clinton mag restriction days couldnt have over a 10 rd magazine. I carried spares in my lunch box and swapped them out after i got in the truck. Only supposed to carry what you qualified with but guys had everything from a 22 to a 44 magnum on them. Holidays some runs had 2 armed guards. I carried a shotgun when 2 people got out then.
It's always been a myth about the person who escaped Contra Costa County jail in Martinez. I remember hearing someone somehow cut thru the chain fence roof over the handball court and climbed out on the roof. The crazy part is it seems impossible without a ladder. You can see where the hole was patched over still to this day
Thats only half the story. That attempt with the fence didnt work because the guy got scared. They scaled down with a rope made from sheets but the rope wasnt long enough so they had to drop. One of the the guys injured his ankle. Also one guy stayed behind.
Well done. Solid story telling, production values and professionalism
That's a good friend to do that for his buddy , we should all be so lucky to have somebody that loyal to us as that aryan
They don’t make friends like that anymore
Misery loves company. I’d never go to prison for a friend.

Ayyy im from Sacramento!!! Crazy history I never knew….
Greatest crime channel of all time put some respect on his name
you're my favorite youtuber. so underrated.
Them early ABs were wild man, you should do a video on Blue Norris and his escape attempts
I still remember finding out about rapper Woodie from Antioch in the Bay area & hearing his music for the first time on this channel. Watching from Perth West Australia 🦘 🇦🇺 🇺🇸 ❤✌️🫶

This is by far my favorite UA-cam channel Part of my days are spend waiting for new episodes. I’d absolutely go insane if one day you unloaded two episodes🤯 I’m keep hope alive. If request are ever a thing you’d be into I’d love to hear a story that involve Kansas City Missouri guys. Namely Steve Moody Wright who is in federal prison for life I’m sure it’ll make for an instant hit.
So you must be a true crime junkie 😄
This is an exceptionally well produced video. Thanks for sharing this historical video as nd the history involving these lowlifes.
God bless 🙏
The things we do for love.... of money. Crazy story. First time on your channel. Excellent work 👍
No editorializing, straight facts. Great stuff. Keep it up.
There's also a guy name Gérald Gallant in Quebec Canada that was an hired killer for the Rock Machine MC and the West End gang. He killed Hells Angels and other criminals. He is known to have at least 28 bodies.
Watch what u say runnin ur mouth about Hells Angels, coward.
Let’s gooooo! Killer Chronicles on a Friday am!!!
Love this channel. Docs are so well made, narrated and edited
Killer Chronicles is very, very good.
Yeahhhh killer chronicles Just dropped happy Friday 🎉🎉🎉
The best crime docs on youtube. Keep up the excellent work. Patreon supporter and big fan here.
Wow, this is a great little doc. It's cool how you got all of this old footage.
Including part of the chase scene from The Seven-Ups is a classy touch; classic action movie from the 70s . Hope someday you cover the New Mexico prison riot in the 80s, that's some hardcore event for sure.

At 1:28 you say Fonbuena was mortally wounded. Late he's alive and improving? I don't think you know what mortally wounded means
Yup, confused me too lmao. I was like "...So how did he survive?"
She was caught mailing him hacksaw blades?!?! The 70's must've just been WAY different
There is more to this story. The 1970s were different but this guy was involved in way too much and with too many other really bad actors for this all to keep happening. I’m wondering if Mae Brussels covered this story back in the day.
Damn now I need to go watch Heat again.
Movie dope
Every time i think ive found all the great channels i come across this. Great quality documentarys
if a person is "mortally wounded" you cant be like "and he lived" two mins later in the narration lol
It’s called a plot twist 😂
that just means an inury than can lead to death, not the same as fatally wounded...
@@FullyRegarded no that is incorrect, by definition a "mortal wound" is one that ultimately leads to death. mortal as in 'mortality'. imagine being this wrong when you have the internet and google 😅😜
@@ryanoneal8480 imagine using google for your definitions like a 12 year old and expecting anyone to take you seriously.
@@FullyRegarded imagine being absolutely wrong about the definition of a word and still trying to be right 🙂

Continue making drinks? Damn the vibe in that place must have been legendary. 😅
My grandfather had formula he would call the bank route he would walking to a bank and just watch. See someone pull out 10 thousand dollars or another significant amount then he come back the next week and like clock work the same guy would be there to withdraw another 10 thousand dollars then they would follow him and rob him for the cash the next time they got out the car it was easier then robbing the bank itself and by doing it enough he'd a score lined up for every day of the week. Less likely to get caught up for that and its a lesser charge then robbing a bank. A individual don't have panic button or cameras.
Sounds like a bunch of bullshit
@dr.z3426 my grandfather was Chicago outfit Enforcer Tony spilotro so it very much not bullshit
@@Yomain702 lol I see
I worked with a guy who knew him from the neighborhood and said he was a really nice guy. My wife is related to Chuck Nicoletti. I would loved to have met him.

Instant thumbs up. Love these vids man keep em coming!
That description of main and Stanislaus in Stockton still fits the bill, felt a little harsh though lol.
being from Contra Costa county this story is crazy

As always, great video! This channel is excellence.
Your content is always a 10/10
Your videos always hit hard as fuck. Stoked to watch this.
I have to respect you guys at the very beginning when you said "he's staring down the barrel of a 357 revolver" and you put "*Not an actual .357 revolver" in the corner.
Respect for that.
This channel is so good
Hey. You were trying to tunnel out of the library and smuggling in a gun and weed...so what here's parole.....California is going to California
Yeah because corruption only exists in california. Are you a literal child?
This is my Mother and Father. I have to say this is very very accurate. Not perfect but I approve.

* Not a 357 revolver lmao thanks for that @killerchronicles
Is that Victor on the bottom right in that AB photo from Folsom in 1976?
Bottom right is Richard Terflinger, standing from left Wayne Odom(?) and TD Bingham
Great video 💯💯💯💯
Awesome video as always my boooi
This just reeks of Operation Chaos. This many ties to so many groups with so many escapes? I’m shocked I have never heard of this story. I’m really surprised this story wasn’t in Programmed to Kill either. I wonder if he did time where Donald DeFreeze did where they were doing all the MK-Ultra stuff? Thanks for bringing this to my attention! Excellent work!
Can you give me some more details on Operation chaos? I've heard of Programmed to Kill but only through some podcasts
@@matthiasthulman4058 the Wikipedia entry gives the sanitized version. The book, CHAOS: Charles Manson, the CIA, and the Secret History of the Sixties by Tom O'Neill is outstanding and has a very important piece of evidence discovered by the author while researching Jolly West’s personal archive. There are other books also that show how the CIA ran a domestic operation under the guise of Counter Intelligence to infiltrate domestic groups that were considered a threat. There are numerous examples of operatives allowed to escape custody or just let out by judges to do “their thing.” I think the ultimate goal was to destabilize society and create tension and fear to make society more malleable to directed control. The strategy of tension is also tied with Operation Gladio in Europe. Yt has a great video on Gladio and there are numerous books on it including several by academics that really document what can be in this grimy world.
Sorry to write a short novel but it’s a complex topic that can’t be distilled in a few sentences. There is evidence some of these operatives had been subjects of “experimentation” while in prison, the military, schools and mental facilities. This work has been exposed via FOI requests and unintentionally via accidental releases of some the accounting paperwork that governed the programs and projects. Some of it also came out during the Church hearings in the US Senate.
@@killbaal4149 funny enough, unless we're both just idiots, I had such trouble finding anything about operation chaos besides what I found for Call of Duty.
What do you want to bet that's entirely on purpose to muddy the waters?
@@matthiasthulman4058 Yea, the level of control is pretty amazing. I recently heard the term “free range humans” and that is about right. The author Michael Hoffman has two books the latest called Twilight Language is really good too. I remember being surprised how “realistic” one of those games was and historically accurate. They even had you do a false flag in an airport where you do an op that was then blamed on some other entity.
Great content
I've been to that jail in Martinez. That place would be no joke to break out of
16:40 my sticker!
Sick ups dude!!
Very evil people.
Man, I was actually thinking about a career in crime, but after watching this video I changed my mind!
There is an interesting story involving PEN-1 members , a guy named Scottish who talked to Fox , a truck and a surf bag.
I’d love to hear you tell this story.
That black el Camino sure does resemble a Camaro 😂
Like you, I love menacing music. 8/10.
Some criminals are incredibly intelligent, steal ridiculous amounts of cash or valuables from their crimes & almost get away with them... nobody in this video fits this profile
I was good friends with Joan and her sons. I also knew William Crouch. I ate thanksgiving with them once at their apt, really good people. Sad how this all turned out.
Concord CA?! Thats my hometown.. we on the map, boi!!!

Btw, thank u for pronouncing my city correctly. Everyone else gets it wrong. Lol youre either a bay area native, or took the time to do the research. Either way, its appreciated. Love the channel. Keep 'em coming

This Joan chick sounds pretty solid.
It’s sad bc she was a type of victim herself.
