I ride these trucks too, it's not the tight bushing seat. It's the venoms. I used to ride riot bushings in them, and because Riot are made CNC, they fit perfectly with no filing.
I ride K4 42 front 38 back, and they are amazing. the feel the lean, and stability is fantastic I run venom eliminators boardside and bearical busings roadside and its like riding a dream setup Dont stress stupid little shit. these are the best trucks on the market period... and for the record ive taken them to 50+ AND THEY ARE STABLE AND GANSTER LEAN ALL DAY**
Venom made their bushings a bit bigger a year or so ago. They used to fit perfect in k4 seats but now they don't. Area also recently changed their k4 design a bit too; the bushing seat is bigger (even too big on the new bigger venoms) and some other small things like, they don't have serial number engraved. I noticed you were running a soft riser under your baseplates , Aera not doing this because it increases the chance of bending if they take an impact. A bit sad that you didn't mention a lot of the things that make K4s what they are. No mention of rake or axle off set or the depth of the bushing seat or how these things effect the ride.
+Professional Lurking Sorry you feel that way. I don't know some of those things you are mentioning so I wouldn't bring it up in a review to just pretend i know what it is and say its great. I also didnt feel like making a 7 minute video or more in order to try and describe how these feel when ultimately, until you have a set to try, is hard to describe and put into words. I run a soft risers to dampen road vibration, and i dont do much heavy landing on Aeras in the first place.
Has anyone tried split trucks angles for free riding like 46*/38* or other combinations? How hard was it to do slide switch 180 back and forward? I mean there was a time you had to ride backward with lower angle truck on the front (less turn) and you tied to switch it back or vice versa.
+Incredimation thanks for the help, dude. I really appreciate it. So I'll get the bear kodiaks for freeride and downhill, and I'll use my cast caliber II trucks for tricks
your my favorite for finally having the first best k4 review❤️

can you review k4s with flipped hangers vs standard hangers
This was a great review. Are you going to review the skoas? (I noticed your Instagram pic/hashtag)

Nice Review. Keep 'em coming!
I like your guys' reviews, you should do a rouge trucks review
hey man, give me some rogues and I can for sure make a review of them
great review man!
Are you guys in New England?
Dude you should do a day in the life.
hope you like going to class and working.
***** I do if it's someone else's life hahaha
+WithASideOfShred I do if it's you ;) lmao
Sick ! Subbed ! Just discovered your channel
Will these trucks bend easily over time? I am 210 pounds and love doing acid drops / big ollies- I need a rediculous let straight truck
they can take a beating but it isn't the best idea to do those moves when these trucks cost over 400 usd new.
+WithASideOfShred do you know of any other brand that may suit my style of riding? I'm looking for the strongest precision truck out there.

No they are made of pure aluminium
Ever tried Paris savants? If so, what can you tell me about them?
If you're like to surf the pavement it's for you
Can they be good at sliding?
what is the deck?
how much do they weight?
finally, it's been like 7 years

Do a lite-rey review
we only review products we actually want to ride or have ridden, and I don't see Matt or myself buying lite reys
what is your bushing setup?
+BamFas 87a Venom Freeride road side with a flat washer, 91a Venom SHR Barrel board side no washer.
on both trucks?
+BamFas yes. Symmetrical 42/42 same bushings in each.
ok thanks
Thanks for this
