    Love Valerie and her mom! They have blessed me with their godly wisdom so much as a wife and mom.

    I CANNOT believe how few views this has. thank you for sharing a teacher you had come to your church. I so wish more of the Church was hungry for the wisdom God has bestowed upon the Elliot family and followed their ministry. Be blessed!

    This is just what I needed right now. I couldn't figure out the internal struggle I've been feeling over my parenting and this is it. This put words to exactly how I've been feeling. Thank you, Valerie for your candidness and honesty. It is such a refreshment and blessing!

    33:45 This is incredible!!? Amazing point. On the sin expectations w/in herself & family; the honestly here is astonishing!!
    37:45 "You both are sinners and you going to sin against each"-E Elliot to her daughter and son in law; the honestly here is wonderful. So extremely helpful
    39:30 "you have to expect absolute obedience from 5-8weeks old. And if they don't know the word 'no' after 12 weeks you've lost the battle!!?? From the grandmother-remarkable
    48:20 "the word became my food" wonderful pnt
    48:55 "I didn't understand how much self centerness there was in my heart"!!? I doubt that. She's speaking in very finite terms
    52:10 she was willing to wake up for a over the phone interview w a counselor at 4:30 am!!?? Counselor asked them "what are you fearful of? What angers you the most about your spouse?" Etc re-review this!
    56:10 "we wanted ppl to see how righteous we were".. incredible honesty!!!?? This is one of the most honest messages that I've ever heard. It feels like she's talking w & not talking to; incredible. I thinks theres a slight distinction. Desiring by His grace to walk righteously and uprightly before Him is right but when we do that to please man then that's where things can go wrong I believe.
    56:25 "so here was this fear, 'we gotta be righteous'"
    58:10 speaks of it being "Christ's righteousness inputed to me"; i reject that notion as the base for eternal security but maybe there's a beneficial aspect for releasing pressure
    1:00:10 "be anxious for nothing";
    1:06:44 "I will continue to sin in this life"; again I think she's speaking in very infinite terms like maybe she gets frustrated or something. Now when most would hear her say "sin" they'd be thinking in more dramatic ostentatious actions. She's likely speaking of the hidden motives etc there's a big difference.
    1:10:01 concluding by speaking of the fear of God in a beautifully way.

    To be honest even though Jim Elliott is with God now, watching his daughter Valerie speak and move I get the eery sense we are seeing Jim Elliott. I think she looks like him and he lives on in her. .
