Gotta love a truck that's been used for proper truckstuff in its life. Just unashamedly good.

I like it, I wonder how much one of these usually goes for in comparison to a kei truck, I could see this being a much more logical investment from a daily driver standpoint.

It depends on what you need. If you want to haul stuff and people every day you can't go wrong with this. As an old school diesel some people like to convert them to burn alternative fuels too. A kei truck is smaller than this and can tuck away in the corner of your yard somewhere. So if you occasionally need a truck it's easier to justify a kei as its cheaper and can do similar work minus people hauling.
I was thinking of asking $11,000 for this one, it has a MA title.

Great vid! I got to see it in person the day you got it (I was stop #1). My HiAce fire truck is on its way with 7km on the odometer so interested to see how it compares to the Atlas both in function and condition.

7km??? Wat? 😆 I'm sure it'll be way better than this well used truck

12:44 just like 95% of pickup owners... You can do like them and use it as a minivan and do grocery shopping.

Im just wondering why youre winding that thing up so tight like you're hell bent on blowing it up. No logical reason to run that thing up against the governor like that

I'm following the gear recommendation for speed. I'm not hitting the rev limiter.

I’ve been driving Japanese diesels the last 40 years. That thing is screaming. With an empty tray in back there is no logical reason to wind it that tight. Loaded is another story. The other thing is you don’t understand how old school diesels work. All the torque is in the lower rpm’s. You’re used to gutless gas engines with no torque you have to rev like that. But what do I know, my last Mazda diesel lasted 579,000 miles with my driving habits.

Thanks I'll try that out. I forget if I mentioned there I've never had a diesel this is my first. I find myself running through the length of rpms especially if the gearing is short
