    This idea is something that needs to be looked at as the housing crisis escalates, new efficiencies and the ease to assemble is a win win. But made with the quality to last more than a lifetime

    The abandoned Lustron that they stood near is a rare model. Around here, west central Ohio, the Westchester model, in Maize yellow, is common.

    People now want a home but don't want a smallish ranch they want big houses they can't afford. Sad really

    They stopped making Lustron homes in 1959.

      Cite source please. The Lustron Corporation closed in 1953 in bankruptcy Court. Last models were made on 1951/52.
