Porthcawl Coastal Defence Scheme - Eastern Promenade and Western Breakwater

Porthcawl, Eastern Promenade and Western Breakwater. The contract was being carried out for Bridgend County Borough Council.
This scheme involved repairs and improvements to the Western Breakwater and Eastern Promenade coastal defence structures in the busy coastal town of Porthcawl.
Elements included:
• Masonry and concrete repairs to the western breakwater
• Parapet works on the western breakwater
• Masonry and parapet works to the eastern breakwater
• Rock armour and precast blocks to the wave side of the western breakwater
• Rhych Point rock armour work
• Relict Dune improvement works
• Provision of temporary RNLI Compound
