Excell Vendor Taking Optic Football Caught By Target! Sayonara! These Guys Are Stealing The Hobby!

- Edited by YouCut:app.youcut.net... putting this video out on the 4th of July happy 4th of July and another vendor locally has been caught and busted for taking sports cards they never hit the store shelves 2023 Optic football was the guy's target product since he was brought on we never seen 2023 optic football blasters or 2023 optic football megas and you would get to the store while he was stocking and he would always say he didn't have them... with a smile on his face some of the weeks and a smirk while now hopefully since his boss has been contacted they'll do the right thing and get rid of this Excell vendor vendor who is probably a retail flipper / scalper that's another problem we have in the area of these guys come out of the woodworks and unfortunately I think if some of these 2024 rookie season quarterbacks do well these guys are going to come back even stronger for the next season of sports cards.. it's unfortunate because I believe it's destroying the hobby the longevity it prices people out so kids can't get involved really... I'm glad they caught this vendor it's the second one that got caught in the area in the last couple years doing it... shout out @degenrips we had vendors just like Degens vendor out here but I'm glad with this guy is probably going to be gone if you like sports cars check out this vlog Plus at the end I open a 2023 optic football Target Blaster box..Yeah 2023 optic football wasn't even making it to the shelves since this guy became the vendor at the local Target and we never saw Megabucks is we only seen optic football on the shelf week 1 when this guy wasn't doing the vending.. it's good news that they caught the guy bad news it was a little too late so we're never going to see the product on the shelf again at Target but at least I managed to get a box today handed to me by the Target employee that busted the vendor..These retail flippers are destroying the longevity of the hobby because the young and people who are actually interested in collecting never get to see it on the shelves and most of us can't afford secondary it's supposed to be retail it's not supposed to be the price of hobby.. #sportscards #thehobby #opticfootball #scalping #tradingcards #youtube
Sky b cards works for mj holdings!! He lives in my town and he holds all the good stuff and buys everything. That's why all his videos are always full stocked shelves. He stocks them then takes the videos and leaves nothing for anyone else!! This is what ruins the card collecting hobby
Wow that is a shame a lot of people have suspected something going on with them to hit every single one of those restocks week after week... Best thing you can probably do is put in a complaint that worked out here the first time but it took them a year to get rid of the guy that was doing that and then the second time the guy just got himself caught.. good luck to you I hope it turns around out there for you cuz that really isn't fair and that's not right if that's what's going on..
I always wondered what was up with his videos. Thought he at least had an agreement with whoever was stocking them because they were perfectly full at every store every single time. Sucks if he’s actually the one stocking and using that to make loads of money on UA-cam and not allow other people to buy just a single box. Makes the intros of all of his videos even more cringe because he’s “card hunting in the wild” 🙄

Crazy crazy! Sucks that this continues to happen! Problems with in store vendors and online the bots are in control. Makes the hobby not so fun. Happy 4th!

@@chasejackson7248 I live in Houston, bout 30 minutes away I have family in Richmond Rosenburg area. Their Walmart is a dream come true. Every year I make at least one trip with a few hundred dollars to spend on ⚾️ and 🏈 .

People calling you about the restock is not right at our wal mart we get the bottom of the cards put out so i have quit buying most of the time
My vendor used to show up every thursday at the same time. Once optic dropped he has changed his stocking times up like crazy… so i got a feeling he is flipping them.
Yeah that's what this guy did he started switching up days but somehow the target actually caught him taking the stuff but I think maybe some people were complaining I thought about putting in a complaint but I hadn't got to it yet... Yeah if you can ever get proof that it's going on then you can put in a complaint but good luck to you I hope that things turn around in your area I know how that is with the cards we dealt with it at Walmart for an entire year at one point... Just sucks the restocks are being camped still. What is the difference between a shop or collector buying all the stock vs the vendor.
I don't like when people buy out the stock to be honest with you to resell all that stuff I'm not a fan of that because they're taking advantage of the situation to hike up the prices on collectors... I don't like when the vendor does it either because then it doesn't matter if you're putting in the work trying to get the cards when they're never even on the shelves plus there are store policies that try to stop this stuff it's just a matter of people getting caught or policies being enforced.. target has limits and stuff but that doesn't really work we know that Walmart doesn't have any kind of enforcement but they will get rid of vendors taking product that happened out here for about a year till they caught the guy maybe a little longer... These guys take all this product to make big profit off of it like optic or double in their money it's at the expense of people who enjoy it prices people out it's bad for the longevity of sports cards... That's my opinion on it all whether you agree or disagree thank you for watching..

As Walmart promotes their “verified sellers” selling at $120 or more a box on Walmart website it’s crazy.
Agreed something should be done about people who corner the market like that these people that probably bot up a thousand boxes during online drops definitely shouldn't get verified through Walmart it's a shame and it's a slow kill of this hobby pricing people out from being able to just enjoy opening some cards...
If people would stop paying for the overpriced bs then they couldn't sell it pretty simple but stupid people out there letting themselves get ripped off
The vendors round here keep it all too. Never saw NBA prizm or optic football touch the shelves. Only one restock did we ever get a few Prizm football as well.
Big problem the product never hitting the shelves... Hopefully they catch the guy good luck to you hopefully you can score some cards in the future and actually get a fair chance 👍

Agree and these guys that just eat up all the product to spit it back out for double and triple the price.. it's already expensive enough retail since they raised the prices but secondary Market a lot of us are priced out of it I mean some of the stuff there charging prices you'd see cheaper hobby selling for... Its not just the vendors its also the tools who buy to flip. Wouldnt it be great that if you buy the product they take cut the plastic seal of the box. That way nobody would be able to flip because people would not trust whats inside.

You should let Target know what you think might be going on.... If you could get some proof you could always put in a complaint with whatever company the vendors with...Good luck to you hopefully it gets figured out so you can get some cards 👍

At the Walmart by my house they have people that come in and buy. Every store will fill up three cards and buy every single sports card box package everything then they resell but the last time I was there the guy got beat up by somebody wanting to buy cars and was tired of them spending thousands of dollars and buying everything.
My area is very popular . Been to 10 targets and 10 Walmarts. 0 optic or donruss or prizm football . It’s all gone every time . Fresh restock ? Not football
Maybe it never hit the shelves or maybe somebody has inside information so they get to the restocks either way it's not fair when you're putting in the work especially if they don't hit the shelves and they're supposed to so good luck to you in the future hopefully you can at least score some select football 👍
That explains why the shelves are all empty here in Northern California.. was in Stockton (1.5 hours away) and Sacramento (2.5 hours away) last weekend, and nothing.
Yeah a lot of people are suspecting the same type of stuff going on at their local stores and a lot of the time they're probably right we just got lucky out here and they caught the guy but too bad it wasn't a few weeks earlier so we could get the mega boxes.. thanks for dropping by 👊 👍
While this does still happen, the far more likely culprit is degenerates who stalk the restocks like it’s their job and then buy every single box within minutes of it hitting the shelf. I’ve seen this happen firsthand twice. This is far more likely than reps stealing product and risking their jobs/freedom. This is the exception, not the rule.
I'm in Southern California and I haven't seen anything but series 2 baseball and Pokemon. It's almost impossible to find anything else.
This happens in my area. We get restocks of clearance blasters and fat packs, low end baseball two months after release, etc. Card companies should be selling direct to retailers. They sell direct to consumers so why not??

If that's what you're saying then yes I agree that could probably be a better course of action because then maybe the retailers would care a little bit more about getting the product out to customers... That's usually how it is there's one place it'll be good there for a while and then it won't be they'll get a new vendor or something but then the other place will be back to normal that's kind of how it's been for a while we usually at least have one place we can go to to get cards but good luck to you and appreciate you watching 👊

I don't think you're wrong but I would say it's a roll of the dice 50/50 this was an Excell guy ..... I definitely think you're on to something I mean there's a few guys that clearly have deals with vendors that we see online anyone who watches those channels knows who those guys are... Shady stuff going on definitely...
I finally found the warehouse that all the sports cards and I worked there when I was a teenager and they give me 25% off all boxes of whatever I need or want
Not surprised, no Optic football has been stocked near me and I've been at the restock a few times. Singles seems to be the way to go this year.
Yeah I have my phases where I just go for singles and then I usually end up going back to sealed retail just cuz it's fun opening cards but thank you for dropping in checking the video out I appreciate it! 👍

I believe that the breakers get inside information to get these boxes for their breaks as Optic is the hottest product atm with no hobby out now and their big SSP like Downtowns are popular that even the secondary market sells boxes of optic at huge prices.

Retail and online card fomo is real, I went to my local sports and hobby show today and no one was buying that junk. They even had stacks of slabbed autos and nothing
I hear you but at the same time it's a lot to do with the prices because you got these shops they buy the cards marked up from these people that scoop a ton of it either online or in store but they charge the shop and markup then the shop marks it up even more so sometimes in those shops it's more expensive than eBay... But a lot of people out here love the optic set they like the rated rookies and the downtown Chase is what really sucks people in...thanks for watching 👊
It's not just the vendors. I know target managers who take anything profitable, then "allows" the vendor to stock what's left over... They aren't supppsed to touch excel or mj holding boxes.
But they get away with it bc they just lie and say, "our staff puts it out randomly during the week... smh
100% it is a bigger problem than just the vendors you're not wrong I know stories of employees getting first dibs management things like that as well I've heard it all so you're not wrong... My local Walmart stocks their own. Makes it easier sometimes. But this crap right here is why I don't buy near as much as I used to.
Walmart out here is a lot better it's crazy cuz for about a year and a half it was the problem place with a thieving vendor... But fortunately now Walmart is a place you can get cards...Target was the go to for a long time but a couple months ago we got this new guy... I'm thinking they fired him though... But now it's rumored the other guy that does the area and might fill in he does the same crap yeah it's just not worth the hassle to try to get cards to be honest a little bit worn out from it... Target in my area half stock and online sells the rest on their site. We have a Meijer store here that sells as well. Always a $5-$10 mark up on everything.
I live in Southern Cali. There are so many scalpers in my area that if you don't grab as much as u can when u see it,you will never see it again! Ppl are always still in line like the pandemic days! If your not first your last here! 😢

The Walmart where I live in Melbourne Florida I’ve spent it least $2500 on booster boxes of optic cards, Bowman and tops and after buying all those boxes I never got even one numbered card in the most expensive one I ever found out of $2500 worth of boxes was a six dollar Shaq card.

Yeah you know somebody's guys are the vendors themselves or their friends with the vendors and somebody's guys are just guys that run bots and eat up all the product online... Yeah people deal with this all across the country and then you got these guys that come on here in the comments and they say oh nobody does that anymore nobody's retail flipping... But we see it with the vendors with people coming into the stores online all of it... So hopefully it turns around out there the best thing you can do is put in complaints to Target and if you can prove it Excell... They be doing that all the time I think The retail stores should be tasked with stocking them and monitor it themselves
Yeah I think that would be a better solution because you could have overlook the managers would pay more attention and hopefully it would eliminate at least some of the problem maybe there wouldn't be as much flipping or scalping probably still would happen but being against store policy if they could get multiple managers checking to make sure everything's on the shelf would help.. I think that's a good idea..

The crazy thing is that most boxes that I see ripped are not much better than the one you opened. I just can't see how people are still paying resale when there simply isn't the value in the boxes. We have a local guy here that has an "In" with the vendor, I have never seen them in target or Walmart here. The only place I have actually seen These boxes, is a card shop that I go to, because of these other asshats that are reselling retail, he has to pay more in wholesale, so he's having to charge more. People need to stop buying these from resellers, that's the only way they are going to stop.
You're 100% spot on with it and I agree with everything you just said and definitely shops too they're getting the stuff and they're buying it from people that are scooping it off the shelves or getting it online as well but then yeah they're buying it at a markup so the card shops are selling it ridiculous prices... That really is the only way I think is not buying from these guys... Sucks to hear about your vendor though sorry about that because I know how it is to not be able to see the stuff on the shelf for a while that happened out here a couple times in a past as well..

Yeah the best thing you could do is put in a complaint to Excell and the targets the guy restocks that's how they look into him sometimes it takes time but there was a guy out here in the past it took a year but they got rid of the guy... Welcome to card collecting....the most shady form of collecting you can suffer through....majority of the vendors, and companies are beyond shady. Only been collecting 3+ years....already stopped buying most cards....sad.
No I hear you it forces people out that's what's so crappy about it you can't just enjoy it you have to make it a part-time job if you want to even have a small chance of getting the good stuff.... Sorry to hear that my best suggestion would be to try to pinpoint the restocks and see if the product is even making it to the shelves.. if you suspect something but Walmart management know maybe and if you could actually even prove it maybe you could let whatever company does your vending know but it's a lot of work to do all that so good luck to you hopefully it turns around 👍

It's unfortunate but that's a real possibility it could be like I said it seems like it's about 50/50 with Optic and what these vendors are going to do with it about half of them seem to be fair and honest and put it out and the other half are working their side hustle.. hey if you could prove it or you could bring it to the attention to Target they could at least keep an eye moving forward not that they will but they might you never know...

We had an honest guy during Prizm it was the vendor for a long time the entire time I was doing it since 2019 the guy was never taking product anything like that but then he passed away and they brought in this other goofball glad they caught him but its said that the other guy in the area that does some of the other targets also is doing the same thing so we'll see what happens hopefully Target stays on top of it.. but you're right A lot of these guys that do this they're just going for the Chrome sets.... thank you for dropping it watching the video 👊

This is probably happening in missoula mt to. Optic football is never on the shelf except those shitty new tins that just came out. Iv never seen a mega box or blaster and im there during restocks every friday.
Man I'm glad to bring awareness to this more so cuz you get the guys that deny it but I mean all you got to do is go on eBay or Facebook marketplace to see that these guys are buying up all this product and flipping it... it's a shame when the vendors do it there's policy and stuff against that so best bet is to probably put in a complaint especially if you knew when the restocks were and the product didn't hit the shelf.. thank you for watching 👍...

It's unfortunate sorry to hear that kind of sucks but I can see some stores that would go that route not to deal with it anymore it's just a shame people can't be civil with it it's just a shame hopefully you have some better luck and can find some cards at Target maybe or some other stores

Hey you don't win with every box there's good boxes out there there's boxes with downtown's out there numbered stuff it's not always bad but you know how it is with cards and these guys only take these boxes to resell basically at hobby level prices... You know that if you're a Trading Card guy... I've done pretty well with different boxes over years so you can always hit one out of the park one bad box doesn't excuse these guys what they do in my opinion.... I just think some people can't afford hobby well a lot of us out here and Retail is the go-to option but if it's just sold online that also proposes a problem because the bots eat online anyone who waits for an online drop has seen that and really the manual user has a very difficult time getting anything good so for a lot of people that's not an option for these resellers that end up scooping 30 boxes at a time or however many some a lot more the online drop is their main go to... But it was a thought I just think I might disagree with that but something does need to be done that's correct you're right and appreciate you dropping in and checking the video out thank you 👊
They all eventually end up doing it,especially when you got everyone selling their souls to the vendors thinking that if they kiss there asses and give them their sad complaints that some how some way the vendors going to hook them up.well not after they're given the 411 on what's what,and how crazy collectors are going for certain products eventually greed and opportunity will come to mind.we got vendors holding back product for freinds or family or a little side🤑..👍😎💯😈🤑
No we had a vendor out here for years and he was an honest guy good vendor never did any of that funny business but he passed away unfortunately now we're dealing with all these dishonest guys coming in...

You must not know about the grind to get cards but I have friends so when you have two or three or four different people helping you out basically by letting each other know if the stores being restocked you can actually get there and get the cards if not then you lose out and then guys like you say first come first serve... In this case it was not first come first serve because the vendor was taking everything...
How else you going to get cards if you are not there at restock? Someone else or vendor always snag them all. Some people go around town to 10 stores to only find some shitty college Chronicles blasters and put in 4 hours.

I disagree there's certain players that hold value especially quarterbacks if they do good receivers not too bad would value I mean everything else you're probably right it doesn't hold much value but the right stuff goes up if you got a quarterback downtown or something like that or a nice parallel rated rookie something numbered or autographed and that player is doing great then the values usually going up...but appreciate you watching 👍 2021 stuff just dropped you because all the QBs flopped 2022 still got Purdy 2020 you got burrow... @docholidayproductions 2020 was a big QB year! Even WRs are blah. I have a handful of DK NT cards and they aren't worth that much and he's an absolute beast. He needs to go play with herbert imo

Optic football is a bust

We have this old man that is retired, and he goes to all the stores and searches all the fat packs one by one. He only buys the ones with hits in them. He better hope I never see him doing it!!! There is also another scumbag that pays the vendors to tell him when and what time they are restocking!!! He then scoops up all the good stuff and hides it in the toy department behind big box toys on higher shelves!!! He buys 3 blasters at a time and goes to his car and rips the boxes, trying to get the case hits. If he doesn't get in the first 3 boxes, he goes back and buys 3 more until he gets it. When he is satisfied, he then tries to flip the boxes, and if he doesn't, he just leaves the boxes sitting in the toy department!!! This is what scummy people do, and it will never change until manufacturers stop selling retail!!! These people do whatever they want because nobody is watching them!!! MJ Holdings and Excell don't care as long as the product sells!!! It's not like it's a high paying job to be a vendor, so they need to make a little scratch on the side!!! Do you really blame them!!!
I don't like that it happens any of that stuff or the vendor doing it so I mean my stance on that is in the video for the most part I disagree with vendors taking the products before they even get on the shelf and I always said I don't mind if they took a few boxes you know that's a different story but a lot of these guys take everything...

Not as bad as 2020 but with Stroud in the product it brought back retail flippers and we can all see it just by going on eBay or Facebook marketplace.... And this next season with all these quarterbacks drafted in the first round if some of these guys perform it's going to be 2020 again for sure...
I buy only hobby cases from a major supplier.I don't bother with retail.

Yeah that was the first product that brought these guys back out in full force the Donruss football megas... It's time for it's like a roll of the dice if you're going to get one of these vendors or not from what I hear it's about 50/50 so best you could try to do is catch the guy stocking or let Target know you think the vendor is not stocking all the product and maybe taking it for resale or whatever... Some targets actually care and they'll look up on these guys... My target just had a guy that caught the vendor on his own...

Yeah it ain't easy because they don't hit the shelves sometimes and if they do hit the shelves they certainly don't stand the shelves very long... Some of the guys they'll buy everything so it takes a lot of work to you and see the boxes on the shelves but good luck to you hopefully you can find some select maybe it won't be quite as hard to find thanks for watching 👍

Well 100% And when is the vendors we don't even get a shot at the product.. then these guys that support it will say first come first serve but if it never hits the shelf that's not even the case you can put in all the work and it doesn't matter so yes especially when the vendors are doing it that's a problem... And it's against the policies of the stores.. the other thing is the people that enjoy it or people that want to even open the product when these guys try to scoop everything in corner of the market they price people out of it so they're hurting the longevity of sports cards... That's why I'm always looking out for the people that actually just enjoy opening the cards enjoy collecting those other guys there to competition they just want to corner the market so we have to pay them double the amount of money for the products it's not cool...
