I don’t own any animals but if I did and a neighbor shoveled it back on my yard I’d understand and take measures to not have the animal leave my property BUT if that neighbor threw that stuff in my porch or deck that’s a easy way to get a avoidable fight started. A lot of people have cameras nowadays.

I live in the UK my neighbours on both sides of me have cats that are for ever in my garden. it can be annoying if it was just 1 or 2 cats but my one neighbour has about 5 and the other one feeds all the strays. so i really need some kind of deterrent.

Thanks...I'm going to try the Lavender drops & water because I have that on hand. The cat occasionally shows up on my security camera in front of my back gate,on the side of my house where I have fern plants but it can't get into the plants because of the garden gate & plants are thick .Last night for the first time he was IN my backyard snooping around. I was shocked because the gate is a 6' pvc fence...didn't know cats would jump that 😂. Anyway I'm going to spray areas he was snooping. I have fake grass in backyard and plants are in pots. I’m so irritated because my neighbor encourages this. I have a very clean dog & I have to go outside or see my camera screen with fricken cats all over my yard. Then I go & find crap all over my yard! I’m beginning to hate cats that I will stone them. They see me & just move. I’ve never hated cats, but my neighbor doesn’t care. And yes , I’ve talked about it, & they also, feed pigeons!
Using citrus is effective but need to purchase a lot. Is it possible to also use vinegar as a scent repelling alternative to rid cats on my lawn.
The high powered water sprinkler (motion sensor auto turn on) works great. The cat ran off quickly.

I find "Winchester anti-cat" to be very effective. They come in a variety of sizes, or calibers as Winchester calls them, and they are an extremely effective one time use application. I haven't met a cat that wasn't dying to try them.

I used rose cuttings to stop cat using garden, he just moved onto lawn, now it dumps there every day.
The red pepper flakes work so well the cat just pooped on my front porch instead. I am resetting my timer for the sprinkler to come on when the cat likes come to play in my yard.

Cat mats also work great, also works on neighbors dogs that freely pee every where😂😂 fun to watch.. They jump out of your lawn as quick as they jump in....
I just started having this problem in my garlic patch. Used all of these things and ironically I now have two cats using the garlic patch as a litter box. I put chicken wire over the dirt and that stopped it on 50% of the garlic patch......next is to cover the remaining portion.....then I will toss my urine around the patch, bait, then trap and remove to an area 50Km out in case they are chipped as its the owner's responsibility. The last time I did the relocation thing it took almost two months before an owner put up a missing cat poster! I love cats, but I don't need them crapping my in garden of food.......

22 works good also but if you don’t feel mean that week then just start saving your coffee grounds and spread them throughout your yard
Mix your coffee grounds with some mushed up egg shell and spread that, just one application of this mix worked for me !

@@RealEstateofHawaii Regular cat size. I was slightly over exaggerating but a bear trap would definitely put them out of my misery.
Rodents are drawn to citrus, and banana peels, that's a no go.
They don't like to step on anything pointed. So my now my rosebushes branches help keep them out.

yeah...if i drop it on the counter & don't put it in the compost immediately, my cats drag the banana peels around, for some unfathomable reason....they also totally ignore the vinegar & lemon juice spray...rosemary is part of the potpourri i make & they like to knock the bowl over & scatter that around too on occasion......and the orange peels i stuck here & there where i've been trying to train them not to go &...they will steal & eat my cinnamon toast if i'm not watching the plate close enough.......so....lavender.....is the last resort...the only reservation i have abt about lavender is...it also repels me..lol.

The best way to get a cats attention and to stop what they are doing is spray them water. There are also plenty of good smelling flowers and plants cats do not like. But water is the best, safest and easiest way to get results.

So far the smell option either barely works or doesn't at all. If it didn't cost so much, I would line my entire back yard fence with the Cat Scat Mat because I think that stops them from climbing the fence, but I only have it on one little 6ft section. If all this doesn't work, I'm gonna go back to the "Relocation Program"...sorry neighbors.

I tried lemon peels and banana. Not sure if coincidence or not, but we haven't had any unwanted visitors recently. See the comments of other viewers for their experiences also.

Try having the cat owners keep their cats indoors.
If you live in a condominium like me, that doesn’t works. Animal control won’t do anything either. They’re allowed to roam and mess up everything. People around this condo is nasty, that’s why I’m typing to move.

@@joelmarks6777 The County official showed me a map of a 3 block area in my neighborhood where they have counted at least 30 cats roaming. That’s a huge problem out here. The two women officials told me the worst thing you can do is to feed them. There is one woman a few doors down that was feeding 12. She was requested by the County to stop feeding them. I hope she did. I’m tired of putting up with them.

Pooping and peeing in your yard is infuriating enough. See what happens to your blood pressure when they poop and pee INSIDE your house and spray on your furniture and cushions because they want to leave their mark. You can't leave a window or any crack open, they'll creep in to explore, and then leave their deposits to mark heir territory. One cat even came into my house and gave birth behind the shelf in my study. I was shocked to hear mewing coming from somewhere in the room.
I've grilled up and wired up all my windows to stop them sneaking in. But today a cat snuck into my house, just because I was outside in my garden and left my door open.
These cats are actually homeless cats with homes. They "belong" to my neighbours who don't neuter, spay or even feed them. They just let them breed to create colonies. Their cats are on their roof, in their porch, on the roadside...everywhere. Trying talking to these neighbours and they get defensive and aggressive.
I'm through with talking.
Your suggestion of reusing plastic has just given me an idea. They always jump up my brick perimeter wall to get into my house. So I'm gonna cut up used coke bottles into wedge-shaped pieces and stick them sharp side up on the top of my walls. Cats need to jump up onto the ledge or top of the wall before jumping into my garden. The sharp spikes should make a painful, memorable deterrent. Best of all, they are cheap as I don't intend to spend money on expensive sprays that wash off in the rain. They are permanent and can withstand the weather for a long time. And I'm recycling bottles at the same time too.
Put screens in your windows! All cat should be spayed or neutored. That would resolve all this.
I guess you’ve never heard of screens. They have these mesh and metal “screens” that prevent bugs and even cats from getting inside your home while still letting in the breeze!

My new neighbor has been putting up 2 bowls of food out on her door way for street cats. Now I'm getting random cats peeing on my porch and one time a cat made it's way inside my home🤬 is that something I can report to the HOA? Or what options do I have?
Have you tried bringing it up with the neighbor? I think it would be worth mentioning to the HOA too.
if they dont care for the animals set a large live trap with cat food in it in the can. Then haul them off about 25 miles away so they dont come back they are wild any way
even worse is when i have 2 cats of my own that use a cat flap and a feral cat comes in through that flap and eats everything and marks in every corner- the stench is terrible -- i've known this feral cat for 5 years, you couldn't be socialized or touched. I can't catch it...I'm running out of ideas
Remove the cat flap. Cats are to be kept on your property only and not permitted to roam free. Good luck, Barbara.
@@june7914 the cat flap is incorporated into a large glass door that leads to the garden terrace. the garden is the place where the cats stay, surrounded by walls. my house has to be kept closed to keep livestock out like snakes etc and the heat of thailand is also locked out 😒😒

My neighbor ‘s cats play on the roof of my Toyota Camry, they poop all over in my front yard, my flowers.. I used black pepper, chilli pepper flakes, it works for 2 days but now they come back, even I put more black pepper every day… 😥😥

Adopt them! They are wonderful creatures and beautiful and will give you a lot of affection and companionship. And they are independent you dont have to take them for a walk. Help them survive in this cruel heartless world! So they made a little mess. Pick it up. Good excercise! I hate all these cruel comments and suggestions! If a deer came in to my garden I would put water for it and food. Give it a helping hand. Any animal thats hungry or cold or thirsty or wounded gets a helping hand from me! On reckoning day I hope to go upstairs rather than downstairs.

Even though outdoor cats will run all over the place, the law in Denmark REQUIRES the owner to keep the cat on THEIR property. Making it illegal for the cat to run freely. The law also says you can't shoot an intruding cat, but again, you are not held responsable for any "accidents" while catching the cat. I do shoot the cats, but with an NERF gun.
My neighbor feeds stray cats, they walk on top of my fence to get to hers. She insisted she is not going to stop. I’m livid, she has been doing it for three years now. My ring camera has picked her up filling the cat bowls. Im going to send them to the HOA, im fed up. Oh and did I mention she told me she was allergic to cat! She must be senile.

Lots of psychos in the comments. I don't like dogs or cats crapping in my yard, or squirrels in my bird feeder or deer in my vegetables for that matter, but I'm not just looking for an excuse to hurt an animal.
Best way to keep unwanted critters off your lawn is the good old garden hose, or sprinklers if you have them. Cats get the message better than most animals. Squirrels and deer are tougher to convince.
I dont necessarily agree with killing wild animals either, but calling them psychos is hypocritical. People kill animals for food, clothing material, hell, people kill animals just for the sake of killing them.
People will only pretend to care about animals dying until they start to bother them or if they make great food or clothing material. Its really not a good even defense anymore to say we shouldnt kill certain animals just because theyre cute.
You could think its cruel but even animals fight and kill each other for the dumbest reasons.

Now that winter is almost over, I'm shutting my fence gate again,

While I was spraying the surrounding of the home they were coming up to the house and spraying where I would spray... not kidding.. I was annoyed and mad as hell, it's like they were mocking me, instead they made me look crazy to the neighbors. I started screaming and chasing them, that's how sick I am of them.
@@slingshoter8783 well unfortunately I tried it, it didn't work, so I won't be doing that again. But your advice will definitely be taken into account for any future projects with vinegar and outdoor work.
I'm going to try sprying human pee to mark my territory. I just don't want a pissy smelling yard either, though.

Scents are great but people need a permanent solution and since those who own cats aren’t responsible for their cats some take drastic and very hard actions to the point of poisoning the cats and that should not be a solution. What people need are more permanent and long term solutions so please post them if you have them.🥸
A neighbours cat comes into my yard daily to hunt and kill birds, I am so incredibly sick of it. I have tried all sorts of scented humane ways of deterring it, it’s starting to get expensive. My next step is to get a cat trap, and when I catch it I’m going to take my hose and spray it until it’s almost drowned, then I will release it and haze it out of the yard…. If that doesn’t keep it out of my yard more drastic measures may have to happen
@@monaburch9163 - From all the here there and here there I have evolved to chemical warfare it’s expensive sort of but very effective until it rains but in applying the powder it has alerted the cats not to come in to my yard. So when it stops raining I continue my warfare. In Vietnam we would put tear gas to keep the enemy away from entering the zone as we called it so CAYENNE PEPPER is the closest thing to tear gas and it works. At first you need enough pepper to cover a good barrier so as to stop the cat from jumping over the zone where the cats come in. So study their habits and then proceed with your quest to stop the feline species from entering your domain. Be careful how you spread the pepper make sure it is not windy it will go into your eyes and boy does it sting. GOOD LUCK! 🥹😉🤪
