What a great video!! As someone who was born almost exactly in the middle of the twentieth century, I appreciate your respect and love for the era! (Plus, you do incredible work!!)❤️
Nancy, I agree you can really feel her passion for this era. I love watching her videos … she inspires me to keep on improving and delivering great furniture restoration content. Happy Sunday!
I was born 1954! The only part of the furniture I didn’t like was the penchant for making fake/photos of wood, especially blond wood. My parents had this huge corner end table in blond wood. It was a corner piece with the 2nd tier an exact half triangle of the square table. Until I got into watching furniture videos of mid century furniture restorers like Angie, I thought I hated blond furniture. Lol. Of course, my family wasn’t well off, so that’s probably why they had that end table. The thing was probably sold wood too! Ahh the memories this furniture brings back!
Angie! How is it that you can transform a disaster into something so spectacular!! You are not only an artist but also a chemist, knowing exactly how to proceed to get to the 'finish' line (I Love puns!). Another creative beauty! Well done! Totally amazed by your creativity & talent!!❤
That last teak table is actually really, really beautiful. I'm so glad you saved it! For some reason, the simplicity of it and the lines really struck me. I love it!
Your work is amazing. I’ve been watching so many UA-cam channels in anticipation of trying some furniture flipping. After watching your channel, I’ve decided that I’m a wood snob, and will only paint what cannot be refinished. And when you do paint, it’s gorgeous.
Yeah, that piece was something else. I bet loads of people would have good use for a beautiful piece like that. Extra points if the leaves can be stored within the piece itself. It was georgeous.
I don't know how often I watch your videos, I can not get enough of them. The white painted dresser was my favorite... after you refinished it ofcourse.
It's like watching a masterclass, you make the wood come alive as you work. All your pieces are beyond awesome it's a pure joy to see the end results. Loved the longer vid much love from UK
They are all beautiful, especially number 6! My thoughts became very fanciful watching this. I imagined all the furniture with feelings of dejection and hopelessness dreading the day they would be sent to the dump. But the opposite happened and there was joy in each drawer when they realized YOU were their next owner! Now each one is glowing with happiness at having a new lease on life! Not The End, a New Beginning! 💖👍👏😊
Angie I just LOVE LOVE these pieces you brought back to life! Your restorations are sooo thoughtful and you consider EACH piece unique and take the time to really think what's the best way to work and save each one! It seems like you see it's potential way before in your mind and go with that! It's also VERY SATISFYING watching you work on each piece! It's my way to chill & learn ALOT at the same time! You inspire me to want to tackle on refinishing some of my Mom & Dads mid century furniture. I remember back in 1961 a bedroom set being delivered to our first home like it was yesterday! And it's still in their present home. After they passed a couple years ago I began thinking and wanting to freshen them up. They are that light blonde wood look furniture. Solid wood and heavy. Will keep washing your channel to see if you restore anything that has that finish so I can learn best way to tackle these pieces. THANK YOU for what you do and that you like to share with the rest of us your magic! Also that you too RESPECT OLD PIECES OF THE PAST! They certainly don't make them like they use to!
Thank you so much for such a great comment Irma! I'm so glad to be able to inspire you and I'm happy you're enjoying my content. Thanks for watching! 😊
Angie, you are, what in my language we call “uma pessoa caprichosa”. It means you are someone who does your job with love, patience and care. You do whatever it takes to get the job done perfectly. I admire it.
Okay, so you are amazing! The video that you thought was too long, like 47 minutes, was incredible. Techniques I had never heard of. Always fascinating to watch. However, I need to start getting some sleep. You are my new addiction.
I listen to your videos during work because number one, your voice is so soothing, and number two, so is the music. When I need breaks from my boring work, I take a peak at the video and what's happening, but I almost always stop at the end and watch the big reveal. You are really talented and I wished I lived closer to purchase a piece of furniture so I could brag that I have one in my home :)
It is as if I am watching a surgeon. Patient is brought in dire condition. Stage 4. Coding. And you bring out its best, not just beautiful but useful, as if the pieces have been given a second life. Thank you for sharing.
As usual you are crowned the wood mixologist! I really love your determination to revive all these beautiful vintage pieces that you bring back to life. YOU ROCK!!❤️
Thank you for restoring all these beautiful pieces of furniture. You've really brought out the beautiful in them. You are so meticulous in your repairs. That is very much appreciated.
Wow! You truly are an amazing restorer of furniture. You take your time doing all the tedious prep work. I know and value the time and work that goes into that. My favorite piece is the walnut dresser. You did such an amazing job. You take pride in your work, that is very obvious. I take my head off to you and the work that you do.👍🏻
Angie, I grew up in the mid-century., and I have to say, that furniture didn't look half as good as it does after you do your magic on it. Back then, it was unfashionable to let the grain of the wood show, especially knots. I restored a 1950s dining room table made of solid mahogany, and the grain was hidden by an opaque, dark brown finish, almost like paint. I refinished it with a translucent, penetrating oil finish, and now it's beautiful.
You have worked miracles with all of these items. My favourite was the cedar trunk. I’d love to own that. I really love your videos Angie, thanks for sharing x
This was so nice to revisit these furniture transformations! You do an amazing job with the furniture that others toss out. I had a very relaxing time watching!🌸
The vintage furniture piece that was number four turned out absolutely gorgeous. I love the different tones on the piece from the the way it was put together and the wood it was.
Your work is always exemplary! I have to say that my favorite piece is the "pre-UA-cam" dresser. The modernity of the style is classic. YOu have finished the wood precisely to accentuate the period, the piece, and your artistry.
Sometimes you paint and sometimes you don’t. These were excellent examples of the times you don’t paint because you can see the potential of the wood and what this particular piece needs. You’re a miracle worker (with a little help of Odis oil and wax) always a pleasure to watch your videos.
I am in awe! ❤❤❤ I get your vids in random order, and love your devotion to get it right. Everything I have seen are like magic, you make all of them so beautiful. ❤🌻❤
My folks repaired old furniture. This reminds me how hard they worked . Beautiful work, it obvious you've have a lots of skill. Loved watching your video..
Such an absolute pleasure to watch you put such focused energy and thought into your restorations. Thank you for making these inspiring videos and for explaining things in such an articulate and calm manner. Totally love the pieces you have re-created!
I LOVE your work. I am 76 and I hate this current "slap a coat of blue paint on everything and call it restored. No, you restore beautiful old wood the way it should be done. Great work.

I love to see your attention to detail! It always inspires me! I always think, "I'm gonna do just like Angie does!" But then I get frustrated or bored and end up skipping steps or using short cuts.

Have discovered a new quality that I appreciate in you and your work--your fearlessness in approaching each piece. Keep up the great work. Always a treat to see the before, during and after. Cheers.
I have the same sander and I LOVE it. I don't have a dust extractor though, so I'm stuck with outside work for now. But even outside, if I can extract it, I'd like too. It's one of the tools that I wanted a tail for sure. Stunning finished piece. My mom would LOVE something like this. So much space. Cheers, Ivy.

I've yet to see a piece you've refinished that wasn't fabulous. You bring a piece back to it's best self. Most times better than when it was new.
