NY tax payer is paying $3000 a month just for housing per migrant family. We have veterans and single black mothers who make up 60% of our homeless rate getting nothing.
I work in rapid rehousing for Veterans. Our guys are on the street with cancer, ptsd, all kinds of other health issues and have to wait for rooms in shelters. Then I see illegals with bbls, tattoos, cars, entitlement, wanting triple of what's offered, no thank you, no smile, just arrogance. It's really disturbing

We even had politicians get on stage telling us that we were the "Angels of America", but in reality, i feel guilty when i see a news report of migrants doing terrible things to american citizens. I feel a responsibility to stand up and do something, but i know i will lose my retirement/pension if i do. Just last week a migrant urinated all over the inside of the bus I was driving because they were upset that they had to sit on the floor for the 4 hour ride (we were only 25 min in to the drive). We had another case were the migrants were "taking turns" on a woman while her husband collected money from everyone waiting their turn (this happened at the back of the bus where they had used bed sheets at the center of the bus to block the driver's veiw of what was happening back there.) Im not suprised these people behave this way. A female driver once had to drive a "migrant bus" and she refused to do so after seeing that 2 children were visibly pregnant. She called the police, and ended up losing her job over it. When the children were interviewed, they said that they were in their 20's, even though they were somewhere between the ages of 8 to 12 (driver showed us a photo that she took). Un-suprisungly the motherbof the two girls was pregnant as well.
That what they do back in there country it is the mayor Eric Adams fault and his council members they should have a real strict policy on curfew. The mayor feel sorry for them because they do not have there work permits and he feels sorry for them because they have nothing to do.

I was raised on 10th Street in Long Island City. (1950s). It was a productive industrial community. There were 100s of factories. Then the manufacturing jobs were shipped overseas. The same factory structures were modernized into condos and hotels. The hotels were built to accommodate the NYC World's Fair that never happened. Now I see that the hotels are being used as migrant shelters. That's it for Long Island City's hotels. They will be destroyed by unruly dwellers who are being housed there at no cost to them. But the NYC government is filling up the coffers of the hotel owners with hard earned taxpayer funding. WOW !!!
