I would love to see how you could create this with just a regular matt. I don't have a card mat yet. Love the idea.
Corrine, once you insert the holographic layer, you can glue the circles that you cut out to the holographic layer. Place the bottom hat piece back into the spot it was cut from then put glue onto each circle and place them back into the hat piece. The hat piece will act as an alignment piece which you will remove once the circles are in place. You may want to give them a few minutes to dry first.
That sounds insanely annoying lol
I was thinking the larger piece could be contoured out or welded leaving the circles to be cut & the insert would peek through those instead of most of the hat being cut out.

I do the inside of the card first. That way I don't have to worry about the cuts getting torn.

Ooh ithink your video just upped my confidence enough to finally try making cards! Btw I've been wondering.. you know how you clean the blade with foil? Well it accidentally came out and stayed in foil😂anyway opposite the sharp end, there another point.. could i possibly turn that over and it be used to score? Trying to save money😂😂
I’ve never tried it but maybe. I would make sure the blade is an older dull blade because it might damage the sharp blade by it pressing
Thank you! I totally thought I had to start with a 2 x 2 design but I see now I just need to select the mat I want to use! Do you make your own card bases with one of your Cricut machines or prefer precut ones?
For quick projects I just use the premade cricut cards but if I want a specific color it’s so easy to make your own base

Great video. I’d like to get this mat but ties it to 5 x 7 cards? I checked on Amazon but it didn’t provide that info.

I tried to make a card on my new maker with the 4 mat. But I couldn't find out how to change the size of the card design to fit the size card I have. ?
Not all card sizes can be changed. But if they can there is a drop down box when you select the project you want to make

You have to have a subscription to do these. Not worth the money. Can't write without a subscription.
You can make your own designs for the cards and then write inside them just like I show. I have videos showing how to make your own card designs. You absolutely do not need to have the subscription to write inside a card
